“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

“Fischer's locally known simply as "Happy Hour" is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. I love going to Happy Hour because it just feels so cozy, you don't find places like this anymore. Can't recommend it enough!”

“We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“We are visiting from Fremont MI to a relative in Suttons Bay. He recommended this cafe; it is a great breakfast place. Outstanding food, great staff. Everyone is friendly. The owner came over this morning and talked to us for a while. Super place to go. Went back and had a burger this evening. WED-FRI 4pm - 8pm - evening burgers. Everything we have had is GREAT!!!!! “Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.”

I’m embarrassed to say I don’t remember the name of our server but she seemed to be the most experienced server there and despite being very busy made sure we were well taken care of. She put up with my husband’s humor and made us feel appreciated and welcome. She didn’t make us feel rushed even while we enjoyed our drinks as they were clearly getting ready to close. Thank you!”

“Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast while vacationing in northern Michigan at this downtown Sutton's Bay eatery. There was comfortable seating inside and out on the patio. The ambiance was warm, with touches of humor incorporated in the decor (note the framed picture over the fireplace when you visit). We dined in the very relaxing atmosphere filled with quiet recorded jazz and happy patrons' conversations. The service was friendly and excellent. Our breakfasts were delicious! My partner's Eggs Benedict disappeared as did my Cherry Cream French Toast with fresh black and red raspberries crowning it off. We will DEFINITELY stop here again! Highly recommend it! Notes: While we did not order drinks aside from coffee, note the drink menu image. And, as we left, we spotted a notice of future live jazz combo appearances.”

“Melinda took such great care of our group. We are Fizz Club members but our kidults and their partners had never been. Melinda took lots of time to explain the various sparkling wines and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very attentive despite it being a pretty busy afternoon in the tasting room. We stayed way longer than our reservation but never felt rushed out. Such a great place!”

“Love this place! The coffee is perfect and people are nice. But for the life of me, why do you close at 2? I watched dozens of people coming to the door at 2 only to be told they're closed. People want coffee till 4 p.m. at least, maybe later. Why have a seasonal business that only opens 6 hours a day?”

“The waitress Julie, gave us phenomenal service. She was upbeat and so pleasant! The 3 other women that I was with, agree that we all had an unforgettable dining experience. The food was awesome as well! We were fascinated by the drink pictured and all of us kissed the fish for luck, then ate it, too”

“If you'd like to visit a winery that knows a great Pinot Noir, this is a must stop in Northern Michigan. The Pinot Flight is worth it and the current ownership is dedicated to crafting a great wine experience. The 2021 is on par with the best Willamette or Russian River has to offer. It's a don't miss in my opinion.”
