“Stopped in at Dick’s Pour House and overall it was a good experience. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, and it’s definitely a spot with a lot of character.

The service could’ve been a little better—it felt a bit slow at times—but I also understand they were super busy and seemed understaffed for the rush. Everyone was still kind, just stretched thin.

I’d definitely come back again, especially when things aren’t quite as hectic.”

“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

My 83 year old Mother said Polish Countryside Kitchen was THE BEST Polish food she has had since her family dinners in Chicago as a child. (Said the Polish sausage was The Best EVER!) She’s a hard critic to please, nice job! We will make the drive up again.”

“Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.”

“We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“We are visiting from Fremont MI to a relative in Suttons Bay. He recommended this cafe; it is a great breakfast place. Outstanding food, great staff. Everyone is friendly. The owner came over this morning and talked to us for a while. Super place to go. Went back and had a burger this evening. WED-FRI 4pm - 8pm - evening burgers. Everything we have had is GREAT!!!!! “Fischer's locally known simply as "Happy Hour" is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. I love going to Happy Hour because it just feels so cozy, you don't find places like this anymore. Can't recommend it enough!”

“Love this place! The coffee is perfect and people are nice. But for the life of me, why do you close at 2? I watched dozens of people coming to the door at 2 only to be told they're closed. People want coffee till 4 p.m. at least, maybe later. Why have a seasonal business that only opens 6 hours a day?”

They had the kindest staff! I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who wants to try to beat the crowds on a summer day!”
