It's a bit off the beaten path, but we're so glad we could try this joint. It has a super small-town feel to it, and all of the food was excellent. The staff here seem to enjoy what they do and know many of the regulars. The menu has a surprising variety of dishes as well.“

“The Open Faced Prime Rib sandwich, was the best I have had since Red Wells closed their doors. The meat is so flavorful. “Hands down, my favorite restaurant ever. You just can't go wrong with a Big Boy, with tarter sauce on it, and a side of crispy fries. I have ordered the same thing every time since I was a kid. If I see a Big Boy while out doing things, I make it a point to stop in for a bite. They never disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, and the prices are right!

“We stopped here on the way home from Detroit today. Intentionally searched for an automotive themed restaurant to eat at. We sat at the bar and fell in love with the place! Our bartender, Delilah, and a young man who I assume to be a shift manager held conversations with us-telling us about the restaurant, the food options, local history, etc. Such a great experience! Typically customer service is hit or miss in the world anymore, but we did not experience that here. Top notch! Food was great and the mixed drinks were amazing!“

“The lead waitress is an awesome lady! She gives remarkable service! The place is too busy for the number of people they have serving. BOTH the cooks and the servers are efficient in what they do. The place is landlocked otherwise they could probably double their business.
That lead waitress makes the place rock! Pancakes were great!“

“A sweet waitress went way above and beyond her duty, My husband, I and our two friends went in to Waters Edge Restaurant, my husband and our friends ordered, I ask if they had milk shakes because I told her I’m having problems swallowing food down, the food won’t go down. She said so sorry we don’t have milk shakes so I just ordered a root beer to drink while everyone ate (it’s ok though) our sweet waitress whipped up milk with ice whip cream and made me a milk shake with whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top. Brought me a big cup. I said oh wow! I love you thank you!! She said it complementary. She made my day how thoughtful and sweet of her to care so much about another person’s problems and health issues. The food looked delicious my husband and our two friends said it was. Thank you! “I'm in the search of the best Reuben. So far Joy's has an edge other places I've eaten at since visiting Monroe. The meat thickness was good, the sauerkraut has good placement being in the middle and I love it when the sauce is on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want. All in all I would say they have the best so far.“

“My husband and me both love Cracker Barrel...but the restaurant in Monroe, MI was terrible. I was told they were making more peach lemonade, when in truth, the restaurant was totally out, and out of meatloaf and ribs...very slow service. When my crispy chicken salad finally arrived, it was made incorrectly after waiting 45 minutes for our dinner. We had to ask 3 times for silverware...The manager never came out to talk to us on request...We will never go back to this Cracker Barrel. Worst dinner experience 😒 😡“

“Danny and Ruben are phenomenal! Awesome customer service, my food is always right and tastes great, friendly and always makes sure I have everything needed like plastic ware, napkins and condiments. They also always make sure the food is plated correctly for no spills or mess. I get my breakfast and sometimes lunch at the drive thru. “Went here for a lunch service was great and very nice to my kids. Food was good. Table and seats were clean. Bathrooms were clean. Overall a good place to have a meal I prefer there breakfast I think. Or there comfort foods but it was 90 out so I tried a cold sandwich quality was great bread was very good but I asked for no tom and got tom not really a big deal. The chicken strips my son got where cooked perfect. No body was a big fan of the maple pepper sauce he got on the side but I bet it would go good with sweet potato fries. Fun kids straws are a plus.“
