“😋This was the first time that I have eaten at River Rat. The food was sooo delicious!! My husband Larry and I had the Chicken Breast Montreal, I had coleslaw, and Chicken Noodle soup, and he had mashed potatoes, and green beans with his. His brother Mike, had the baked Walleye. The rolls were sooo yummy!! Many thanks to our waitress Tayler! She was so nice, and kind, and onpoint!! I give this rating a 5 Star!! We shall be back!“

“My husband and i came for lunch at 2pm on a Sunday (today) to a SLAMMED restaurant. Only one man seemed to be working the floor, which we found out later was the GM, Pudge. He was OUTSTANDING! He was cleaning tables, seating people, taking orders, delivering orders, prebussing tables, making drinks from the bar, THE WHOLE DEAL. On top of that he made time to stop by the table NUMEROUS times to make sure our experience was amazing, which it was. My husband loved his seafood boil and my chicken tenders were great! Because of today’s experience, we will absolutely be back! THANK YOU Pudge, for an excellent experience! I can’t tell you the last time. “Went there yesterday with my husband for our anniversary dinner. The decor and atmosphere is lovely. We had a drink at the bar before getting a table for dinner. All staff were super friendly and courteous. I had the Perch Piccata which was amazing. It was a very large portion so I had plenty to take home for another meal. My husband enjoyed his Bolognese which was also a very large portion. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go back soon.“

“Went for an early dinner corn chowder was PUKE IN A BOWL ordered fish and chips to my surprise Chef is using low quality Pollock for high quality Cod talked to mgr and she had few profanities and hung up phone I have been a Chef for many years and detected this right off the bat don’t let them steal your money on low quality products 2pc $1799 and 3 pcs $20.99 they were 2oz pcs of fish!!? “I visited Chicken Delight for the first time yesterday evening around 7:30 PM, and I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken was exceptional—freshly prepared with perfectly golden-brown, crispy skin. The potatoes were delicious, and the coleslaw had just the right balance of flavors and texture. Even the rolls were soft and fresh, which really rounded out the meal. This experience definitely earned my return business, and I'll be coming back soon. (I hope they start selling honey as a condiment for the rolls and chicken.)“

“Disclaimer before I start my POSITIVE review: order from places that have your allergens at your own risk!!!

Tragically, I have a peanut allergy and absolutely love Chinese food. Sometimes I will go into a restaurant to ask if my allergy can be accommodated and the answer is no, which is fine! I appreciate the honesty! I was worried that might be the case here but it wasn't!

I ordered orange chicken (which is safe) and asked about the roast pork lo mein. The woman at the counter informed me that all their lo mein has peanut butter, BUT she could make it without if I wanted it. I was kind of surprised and was already prepared to order something else as a side just in case, but I took her up on the offer because I love lo mein!!! She noted my allergy on the receipt. Although I do not understand Chinese, I 100% know I heard her say something to the kitchen about an allergy/allergen as the food was being prepared.

Non-allergy related stuff: the food was delicious and the portions are generous. It was my first time having anything other than veggies in lo mein (I don't deviate my Chinese orders much due to food allergies) and I loved the pork in there! I am excited to have leftovers for the next few days! My boyfriend ordered General Tso's chicken and although we got it to go, he started eating it in the car before we drove off because it smelled so good lol.“

Every meal has been delicious and plentiful . On occasion I have had guests and they were happy with their meals also .
The family that owns and operates this wonderful restaurant are always kind and pleasant .
I have recommended this restaurant to many and will continue to do so .
