I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype! Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work. Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her! Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation. Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. “Dave’s hot chicken is really good. The food was hot and prompt. The prices are a tad high but the tenders are good quality.
One person in particular that has outstanding service is DREW. He was kind and very respectful. I had a crazy order and he got everything right.

The five star rating is based primarily on the young man who was our cashier. His customer service was exemplary of what you want from customer facing employees. He was incredibly cordial and welcoming, informative and engaging. I sincerely hope that he is being groomed for management. The food was good for casual dining. The tenders over the fusion fries were very tender and tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. Even while cleaning up our area and planning to leave, the young man was simply a joy. “5 stars! The entire crew on 6/20/26 @ 11 am. I originally orders sides from here and chicken from somewhere else just trying to save a few bucks, it back and the place with chicken failed me. I came in and asked them how quick if possible at all they could do a decent size order of chicken. Nobody was annoyed as most probably would be, it was the exact opposite from the counter to the cooks they all said “no problem we can start it now” they were extremely nice from the second i walked in and even nicer somehow after they heard my situation.“

“I love to support this restaurant. I learned about it when I moved to the area. My food is always hot and fresh! I’m not sure who this one gentleman is, but his customer service is a breath of fresh air. I’m so glad when he answers the phone. For me, customer service is where it starts. If that’s not a priority, I will not patronize. Unfortunately, I had a not so pleasant experience with one of the ladies. It wasn’t a confrontation, but her demeanor came off as if taking orders was outside of her scope of work. A positive attitude goes a long way. It makes the day better for everyone. I just gave her patience and grace. You never know what someone is going through. Not a big deal and I understand, but I thought it was worth mentioning because hopefully it helps. “Recently had a great meal at the Chicken Shack restaurant on Ryan Road. Our order included ribs, coleslaw, chicken tenders and potatoes. Everything was exceptionally delicious. Usually do not care for white chicken meat. However Chicken Shacks are the most flavorful, moist and tender we have had. The food was served hot and staff very professional. The store this establishment is placed in has a great selection of craft beer options, which is a key criteria for a good liquor store to me personally.

The food caught my attention a bit though, and I got probably the greatest food salesman and customer service oriented person I've ever encountered in my life. Gave me a free chicken tender just to try, and it really was one of the best pre-prepared pieces of chicken I've ever had.

“Well we got Beef and Chicken Shwarmas but was disappointed this time ..:( Mostly veggies) not enough meat....and very Over priced for the food we got..I live my veggies but I would've lived it more had they made them like they used too...Was my, favorite place but now I drive to Berkley for my Shwarmas... 4 Shwarmas with barely slivers of meat $42.00...No TY!
