“My lady and I celebrated our anniversary at Bar Pigalle last night, and it was just as incredible as we remembered. We had been once before and absolutely loved it, so returning was an easy choice.

The ambiance is elegant yet inviting. It has that hidden-gem quality that makes you feel special the moment you walk in. Our server, Adam, was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

And the food? Phenomenal. We started with two expertly crafted cocktails, the Turn on Red and the French Caffee, both delightful in their own way. For appetizers, we shared the beet salad and mushroom gratin, which were flavorful and perfectly prepared. But the real reason we came back...The burger.

I know it’s “just” a burger, but this is the burger I judge all others by. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and just downright delicious. If you're a burger lover, this is the one you need to try.

Domestic beer prices are among the best I can find. I've seen some reviews that describe the place as "a bit of a dive." And your point is? It's nothing fancy but neither am I. Try it. “Ate in the lounge and had fantastic service. Lovely wood smoke smell in the place. Tried 4 different red wine between my wife and I, all terrific. The small plates we tried were all excellent. My favorite was the whipped salted cod and my wife loved the maitake mushrooms. The mains were also great, the halibut was our favorite. The sherry for dessert was great.

Overall, a surprisingly good meal with fun and knowledgeable wait staff. Best meal I e had had in a good while.“

“My husband and I went to Shift yesterday for dinner and it was fantastic. Scott and Matt provided great service. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I got 2 drinks (the color red and the espresso martini) and had the shift fries and lamb lollipops. My husband also ordered the filet tips and lamb lollipops. It was all excellent. We also happened to come during happy hour and they had live music. We will definitely be back for more.“

“Warm and friendly atmosphere with the Motown sounds flowing along with notes of rhythm and blues on a Saturday night. The kitchen is open for fried chicken and fish which you can savor on the patio or at a table. This bar is pulsing with excitement on Friday night; standing room only and parking gets expired around 11. It's small in size but big on entertainment. Cash bar of course.“

“Went to FrameBar yesterday for the BirriaBar pop-up with chef Eddie Vargas. Food was excellent and a great value for the amount of food at the price point. I loved that the chef was making the rounds in the dining room to ensure every customer was satisfied. The birria platter and quesabirria were both great, as well as the salsas, queso, and aguacates. Lastly, the bar had good Mexican-inspired drink options, with the smoked Oaxacan old fashioned being my favorite for both taste and presentation. Great work all around.“

You can tell not only does the manager but the employees as well all care about each guest there matters. We did the simulator rental for an hour which they gratiously squeezed us in a slot last minute to ensure a great time for our son! Food was good and service was great! We are already planning our next trip there!“

The food was amazing and cost was much less than I would have expected for the caliber and presentation of our meals and dessert. For all of you paranormal afficionados, their Ghost Bar is a must. The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. “We held our private event in the enclosed patio at Firebird in Troy. The patio was heated and decorated to look like a lodge. All of our guests felt like they were in a homey environment. The food and the service was impeccable. Our guests were so pleased at the attention to detail and the promptness of the serving staff. The event manager, Jenna, made the entire planning process easy and stress free. She helped us set up our buffet menu and was there day of assisting in decorating and making sure everything was in order. I would highly recommend hosting a private event here and plan to do so myself for future events!“

“Been here a few times and it is one of my favorite places to visit in Detroit. The drinks and food rotate and every time I go I find a new favorite!“

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“
