“I had the chicken wings and garlic aloi fries. The wings was really good, big wings and had a lot of sauce on them. It's 12 for 20 which to me kinda expensive. The fries was disappointed in 7 dollars for some fries that's half of them was soggy. There was little cheese on it. The ones that was cooked was okay. I wouldn't highly recommend it but I would give it another try if different cooks was working. Saw one guy had to give his wings back before me because they was under cooked.“

“I am not a food critic. But I have the time while flying back home to reflect on dinner last night. The experience was so amazing that I had to leave a glowing review. I seldom take the time to do so.

Marrow is top shelf dining experience. My friends and I went all in with the food paring ($90) and drink paring ($45) options. Pricey but well worth it. 3 small but flavorful starters, a wonderful pear salad, a chorizo and gnocchi dish head of the main event… a 7oz flat iron steak cooked to perfection over a bed of lightly smoked and tender pinto beans finishing with a single scoop of chestnut ice cream. But that was just the food. The drinks were carefully paired with each course. 5 in total. Each one balanced bitterness, sweetness, and acid with each course. My mouth was alive as if it had been raised from the dead. It was so amazing that I forgot to mentally note each drink so I could describe them in the future.

This place is a diamond in the rough. I only wish I had met the chef and the team behind the incredible experience.

I am from Los Angeles and have plenty of great places to dine. My visit to Detroit to watch my friends compete in an indoor track bike race was punctuated be this celebratory dinner.

If you love incredible food with thoughtfully pared drinks, I cannot recommend Marrow enough.“

“We came to The Whitney for an early birthday dinner for my husband. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience there! The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food was amazing and cost was much less than I would have expected for the caliber and presentation of our meals and dessert. For all of you paranormal afficionados, their Ghost Bar is a must. The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. “We had a large group of ladies come in for dinner. It took us about an hour to get seated on a Saturday since they dont take reservations. We had a few bumps in the night but Brandon took great care of us. I believe he was the manager. Our appetizers were great (calamari and crab cake). The bread (or donut as we called it) was delicious!! Our entrees however were less than desirable. Pictured is my crab cake entree with a side of smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The mac was terrible (unseasoned and the noodles were hard) 😢 I left the full side almost completely untouched on my plate. My friend's broccoli had a hair in it, which they promptly remade. Someone else's steak tasted like cinnamon as she described it and was tough for the cut of steak. The drinks were 10/10 (shout-out to the bartender). I had a lemon drop mojito *chef's kiss* And the creme brulee was delicious as well. Overall, I would return but simply for drinks and apps!“

Ordered the bake cheese dip to start. Really enjoyed it. Goes really good with the toasted baguettes.

Full menu of options for drinks. No frozen drinks tho. They do not have a blender. They carry Faygo pop and that was a real treat.

Ordered the chicken Caesar salad. If I had known that, the salad came premixed I would’ve asked for the salad dressing on the side. It turned the Romain lettuce, soggy quickly. Couldn't take the left overs. Dressing was on the bitter side.

Also, tried the fire bird sandwich. Bun gave it good texture. Not a fan of the topping choices. Didn’t go well with the cheese and sauce.

“I moved here in March and I’m still working on finding my new local go to spots. It’s my first time here and this is going to be my #1 go to diner/Coney Island.
It’s a family run business and it’s obvious that they work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses are genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their customer.

The food was really good! It came out quick, the portions were generous, and if you like hash browns you won’t be sorry!! I’m a big coffee gal and my coffee was never empty, always hot, and as a VERY rare treat, the coffee is actually really good.

Lastly, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious they take pride in what they do and are dedicated to making a great experience.
