“We held our private event in the enclosed patio at Firebird in Troy. The patio was heated and decorated to look like a lodge. All of our guests felt like they were in a homey environment. The food and the service was impeccable. Our guests were so pleased at the attention to detail and the promptness of the serving staff. The event manager, Jenna, made the entire planning process easy and stress free. She helped us set up our buffet menu and was there day of assisting in decorating and making sure everything was in order. I would highly recommend hosting a private event here and plan to do so myself for future events!“

Thank you Erick for the clarification, this makes sense to me. Nonetheless I still think the bartender should always ask customers whether they would like to keep the card or a tab open, and not always assume the customer knows the routine, or the minimum fee for the bar… I did enjoy the atmosphere and the time I spent there, hence my new rating after the owner’s explanation.“

“The Hideout shocked me, i drove by for many years and figured it was a hole/little bar. When I walked in the interior was very nice. So the business end of the review, i had a cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was so darn good I was shocked. I came back the following night it was so good hoping they could replicate it, im not here for the drinks but the cheeseburger! Once again the chef comes through with a home run. Ill be back tomorrow or the next day, its that good and its of tremendous value, im not sure how they do it. The place is a gem!“

“Been many moons since I patronized this southern Warren establishment. Was impressed how clean and updated inside was. Great service, nice atmosphere, several pool tables, friendly people and very reasonable prices. Will be back.“

“Well, this is your typical somewhat hole in the wall bar, although a little more upscale than that.

The food typically is pretty good. The service not so much.

I probably should have given a little higher score for atmosphere.

My two biggest issues. The relatively minor, but annoying.
First, for most things other than fries there's an upcharge, about three bucks. But they don't tell you that typically, even when you ask
The other problem is they have begun charging a credit card surcharge. They are required by law to post notice of that, prominently displayed, and to let you know about it. But they don't do it.
Those two things are off putting.
Overall, though, reasonably good place.

“Delicious pizza, friendly and fun atmosphere“

“We were staying in Greektown for a run and dined in the night before for pizza. We had two pizzas, a salad, and the reuben between us and everything was delicious both fresh and leftover! They were busy around dinner time on a Saturday but we were well taken care of, seated quickly, and our food came out in a timely manner. The mushroom and pepperoni pizza and reuben were wonderful and we’ll definitely be back for these again!“

I’ve been a regular at CJ Mahoney’s for the past few months, enjoying Saturday lunches with a friend. Every visit has been a delight thanks to the consistently great service and delicious food.

The food arrives promptly, and I appreciate the consistent quality of my regular order. It tastes just as good every time. The restaurant itself is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. Plus, the location is convenient.
