“Great little townie bar in Manistique, drinks are cheap and food is good. Menu is pretty basic but well executed, burgers, wings, tacos, etc. Casey absolutely nailed cooking my burger to a perfect medium rare, not once but twice in the week I was here working. Not only did she get my burger perfect but she was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome in the hometown bar. I'll def be back next time I'm in Manistique! If you want the local experience while you're in Manistique come to Wheaty's Pub, you won't be disappointed!“

Also enjoyed a vanilla iced coffee, which was far superior to the coffee at other brunch places. Already excited to stop by again sometime and try other dishes on the menu!“

“Ordered pizza on line for tonight. It tasted fine but was cold! The pizza (2) were picked up on time but were sitting on the bar when we arrived. Being they must of been prepared much earlier then our texted available pickup time, 7:15pm. Not kept warm. Somewhat disappointed that the pizza wasn’t kept warm.“

Mona & Co Restaurant American • $$

“Our camping trip weekend in the UP began on a Friday and that meant...FRIDAY FISH FRY, as is tradition up here. The closest and best option nearby for fish fry was Mona & Co, according to my friend who was in our camping group and has lived in the UP for all her life. Mona & Co is such a fun set up as it is the restaurant that is located at the Indian Lake Golf Course, so your view from the restaurant is to the entire golf course and in the very distance you can see Indian Lake as well. One room of this restaurant is the dining room and the other is where the bar is with a couple of high top tables. The dining room looked pretty full, so we sat at the high tops near the bar and informed the hostess that we were going to be sitting there but wanting to both eat and drink, which they said was fine.Overall, the food was yummy - I was glad to have been able to experience a traditional UP fish fry. The ambiance of this place was very odd though. It's very casual, very unique characters coming here to dine, and because of that blend of golfers and people just coming to dine, it was just an interesting mix all around. The service was very slow given that they had a full house, but basically one person running around taking all the orders and running to and from the bar to grab drink orders as well. It took quite a while (over half an hour) after we sat down before we could even place our food order and then quite a bit longer as we waited for food. The bar we could walk up to ourselves and get a drink, so didn't need to wait on that.We were able to do plenty of people watching though and that's why I have a ton of observations of the people who came through these rooms. The bartenders were very friendly and very young. Some drink orders that came in they would need to ask older customers about how to make as they were also a little bit clueless - e.g. someone ordered a drink "straight up" and they weren't sure if that meant with or without ice and gave them their drink with a side of ice just in case!Overall, we weren't in any rush and I was starving by the time the food came, so happily ate it all and were on our way back to the campground for our camping weekend!“

“The waitress/service was great. Very attentive. Place is clean. My husband really liked his breakfast and I would have liked mine but... Just one suggestion, please invest in some shredded cheese for your breakfast skillet. The single squares of American cheese belong on a burger and are way too overpowering. It should have and would have been a great breakfast but unfortunately the cheese killed it.“

“Food was fine. Bought an entire strawberry pie because they are apparently "famous". Was a sloppy mess and fell apart in box. Whole strawberries in a bland jelly like sauce that looked thrown on..my kids didn't even like it. It was my first time having the pie and wouldn't recommend.“
