“Pizza Rolls truly a Detroit thing invented for the Auto Worker's, that's a story for another day I know the history. Many don't know Jack's started in Taylor before moving to Melvindale. So 44 Year's going strong since 1978 a true Downriver Classic.
Nestled in a small building with a green awning on Allen Rd. is a family-run bakery with a passionate following. It's called Jack's Italian Bakery, now operation run by Jack's son doing a great job. Always a group of Friendly helpful ladies and super great prices. The Pepperoni Roll with Cheese my Addiction that you must try one, they warm it for you. Just one is a full delicious meal for me it's huge. So get this a Roll, Big 24 oz Pepsi n Walnut Dessert Bar only $ 9.75 out the door OMG. Cheaper than a fast food combo and the Pepperoni is heavily packed inside with Cheese. Sure everyone has a favorite spot, been to them all. “It is absolutely worth the visit. Get the brunch special for 2. It's 40 bucks, and you'll have leftovers for a week. The eggs with kawarma were a first for me and it is special. The staff explained how it's made and if you haven't had it before, it's a must try. Overall, the bakery items are great, the foul is delicious and lemony, the green olives were a great touch, and the vibe is very neighborhood bakery. I love places like this in dearborn and highly recommend going in.

Although they were out of a lot of bagel flavors, it gave me the chance to try something I wouldn’t have usually gotten so I got the Asiago bagel with the scallion cream cheese and babyyyyyy, it was SO GOOD! I got their plain cream cheese too in case I didn’t like the scallion one and even that one was good. It didn’t taste like your regular Philadelphia cream cheese. I will be back. Only thing I’d do differently is not get my bagel toasted, it made it kick of tough but other than that, 10/10“

“This location is a block away from my parents house and my Dad goes in 6 times a day. When they found out my Mom had a heart attack on Thursday they sent her a bouquet of flowers. Also someone from there dropped off a bowl of chili and bun for my dad for dinner since my Mom couldn't make him dinner. This store went above and beyond. Awesome workers at this Tim Horton's.“

“This adorable patisserie was walking distance from our hotel and offered a sweet treat in a quaint atmosphere. we tried the Chocolate mousse tart with mirror glaze and a flight of 6 macarons. My husband was amazed at how smooth the chocolate mousse was. The tart was rich and the perfect size for sharing. We took the macarons away with us and later tried the rosewater and the pistachio. They were both delicious, and I was delighted that the rosewater was not overpowering as many times or can be. Open to midnight, this is a great place for a lovely treat in Dearborn.“

“We are frequent customers of Astoria in Greektown. This has always been a tradition for my children before events downtown. We have never had anything that wasn’t amazing. Our favorites are the baklava and the eclairs but we do our best to try something new on each visit. We love this establishment. It’s Detroit for us — in pastry form.“
