It's got to be their Wisconsin roots similar to the consistence in WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) where you know there is truth served in every location. “EDIT: My review won't change, as I am only commenting on my experience at this location/on this day/at this time, however, I would like to make note of the labor disputes. Owners need to pay their workers a fair wage, treat them like the human beings they are instead of tools for profit. After the settlement, I hope the future is bright for the employees at every location and that they receive the respect they deserve. Consider stopping by for lunch, and tip your server well; a fat tip is always a way to support the people, not the company.

ORIGINAL: My friend and I came in at 4pm. Sammy was incredibly kind and quick to greet us. We were seated right away. The train car is a severely overlooked highlight. I've seen some complaints that it is too tiny, to which I say: you have never been in a train. Tables are close together but I would not describe it as close enough to share food with the other patrons--some of you are bitter and overdramatic.

The service was incredible. Sammy was attentive, quick to take our drink order, quick to get our app order in, and let us rest to decide. She has a natural sense of when to approach the table, providing friendly service without overwhelming patrons. She was incredible, and really sweet!

The food was insane, in the best way. The everything pretzel bites came out fresh and hot, and we savored every bite. The provided dips complimented the savory flavor of the pretzels very well. I ordered the mac and cheese large plate, which was reasonably priced for the amount I got. It was rich and creamy, but not overbearing--which I greatly appreciate in a mac and cheese. My friend got the grilled cheese (apple, gouda, honey sriracha, and bacon on sourdough), he described it as a well balanced flavor explosion. Although he enjoys grilled chicken sandwiches with mayo and cheese (?), based on his description: "it's tart and sweet with the apple, smoky with the bacon, rich from the cheese, but rounded out by the tangy sourdough," I feel I can trust him this once.

If you're skeptical because of bad reviews, ignore that mess and give this place a try. Order what sounds new and fun and you won't regret it. (We didn't get drinks this time around but I recommend Blake's Cider Mill Donut Cider!)

“My family and I went for the first time on Valentine’s Day for lunch and we were greeted with friendly warm smiles from the employees. So many great options to choose from the menu! I got the Greek wrap and it was phenomenal, from the warm pita to the fresh veggies and the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly! The homemade chips were salty and fried the way I prefer them! Another reason I would recommend Grand Grillin is because they are affordable you get a loaded wrap with chips and drink for only $9.50! Great deal for the quality of the food and service! We had a great experience and will be back many more times to come!“

“for a quick bite this place is awesome. we got there 10 minutes to close and was able to sit down to eat. we had a wonderful hot meal of rueban combo and gyro combo. the server service was prompt, friendly and helpful we never did catch her name. we were in and out in roughly 30 minutes if sitting down. they have a limited menu compared to other locations but the usual suspects are available. parking is in ramp or street per usual east Lansing downtown.“

I was given a plastic V shaped card with a number on it to put on my door handle and asked to pull forward up behind the other 3 vehicles ahead of me to wait on my burger to be delivered to me. They did not put a napkin in the bag when my burger cane out, so i had to wait longer for that because the girl forgot the napkins when she came out a second time, so i had to wait forever to her next trip back inside for food. The Butter Burget was so delicious! Well worth the way and i had the burger devoured my time I made it to my next destination. This one Burger cost me $8 and some change! I rarely eat out so it was a treat for me but $8 is a bit much for one burger. I remember when a burger used to cost $1.00 (at mcdonalds) 40 years ago!!! WOW, I FEEL OLD ... but they never tasted as good as Culver's!“

“Food, atmosphere and service was great! Only glitch was the restrooms. I am handicapped and went to the ladies room only to find narrow stalls and no bars to aid me on and off the stool. After much difficulty I managed to do my business. Upon exiting the bathroom, I noticed a sign to the right on the wall that indicated a handicap restroom, apparently located in the next room around the corner. I mentioned this to my fellow senior guests who come here often, and they were not aware there was a handicapped accessible restroom. Maybe they need to post a sign on the regular restroom doors that a handicap accessible bathroom is available around the corner. That' sign on the wall is not very effective.

“Since we have been there our first time this is our go to family restaurant when we are in the East Lansing area. Taking two toddlers out to a restaurant can be a pain, even when they behave decently but Coral Gables has an environment where we can stretch out, take our time, and still get to eat. On top of that the food is delicious.“
