“I’ve been going to Masala in Novi for several years. Large and diverse menu that they really deliver on. (Many places fall flat: too many items to manage well. Not so here.) The South Lyon location is the star: bigger, nicer, albeit still a fast casual design. The good news is that this location is now doing specials each weekend. And they nail it. My knowledge of Indian cuisine is reasonably good but virtually everything on the special menu was new to me. What a discovery. Jenn and I will definitely be going back for more of those. Highly recommended.“

“Small but cozy dining room. Came in for an early dinner, and was not disappointed. I tried the Punjabi samosa (came with three), Chettinad chicken, chicken tikka masala, and regular/butter naan.
The samosas had a nicely spiced light potato filling that paired perfectly with their mint and tamarind chutney (best mint chutney I've had in ages).
Chettinad was a greenish hue, infused heavily with curry leaves and warming spices. Very flavorful with tender chicken.
The tikka masala was richer in spices than the average Indian joint which I was extremely grateful (I hate receiving tomato soup when I order curry). The texture was creamy but also very flavorful with tender grilled chicken. Loved the charred flavor and the exceptional balance of the dish.
The naan was cooked to perfection. Thin with nice pocketing and char from the heat. Served right out of the oven.
There was a bit of a wait but seemed obvious that it stemmed from the food being cooked and served fresh.
I WILL be coming back to this restaurant, and highly recommend.“

“I ordered for the first time Wednesday, 1-10-24, from the new Waterford location. I got the lamb korma, some Naan, raita, and a mango Lassi (carryout). It took me a good twenty minutes to find the place because there was NO signage! My Lassi was warm and the rice was cold. Luckily the lamb was hot enough to warm the rice. I will definitely order again because the food was so good, but seriously, no sign?!“

Food is made from scratch and well worth the wait. I had the Lamb Biryani spiced to medium heat.

I couldn't identify the chutneys on the side, but the balance between spice (medium heat requested, but still quite strong without chutney) and the darker chutney (tamarind??) was exquisite. Portion size was generous.“

“While this little gem is tucked away in a quiet little strip mall on the edge of Northville, the smells of India when I walked in got me ready for a delicious meal. The chef did not disappoint with a delicious spicy goat pepper biryani and chili/garlic naan bread. The portions were large and I walked away with enough for breakfast. Service was quick and polite. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!“

You have to plan ahead with them - sometimes you’ll call for carry out and they’ll say you have to wait a couple hours because they have large catering order(s). Also, I wouldn’t recommend bringing large family groups to dine in, they’re more appropriate for carry out and catering only.“

“I went to Andhra Cafe last week for the first time and LOVED it! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I had the chicken Tikka masala and it was so good that I ordered a butter chicken to go so I could try it the next day. They also have a buffet that I'll be back to try another day.“

Just amazing ! Kudos to the chef brining in the right flavors. Food didn’t feel greasy (right amount of oil). The quality was right on for one person Mandi ! And the pickup time was super quick. I remember sitting in a restaurant and waiting for 30 mins and didn’t get it! You guys aced the time as well.

“I have visited the place a few times in 2016-17. If you are vegetarian you will love the food.. and real flavours of home cooked food, both buffet and dinner. My recent personal favorites are broccoli cutlets and Zucchini bhajiya in lunch buffets. You just need to be on time :) late buffet and last dining both are patch up and I have no complaints :) people must be on time to taste the actual delicacy of Chutneys.“
