“I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too.

- Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good.

The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up.

I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it.

I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!!

- Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain.

- Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza.

- Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing!

- Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time.

- Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff.

“I do love going to Angela's. I always have the best Wet Burritos. I am not going to not recommend but we were there recently celebrating my sons raise. Everything came out timely and great except his pizza was dropped and had to be remade. it did come out a little undercooked when he finally got it. Not only did he not get to eat with us but his meal was essentially ruined. I still love visiting but a little disappointed that they didn't at least offer reduced price on it or something. “We celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary at one our favorite places. Our server Jacob was amazing! We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was great. “Formerly Reserve Wine & Food, Allora is owned by The Windquest Group (Dick & Betsy DeVos) which basically owns downtown Grand Rapids and opened earlier this year. My expectations were very high. \n\nUpon entering the restaurant, you first have to enter a lobby area which leads into the restaurant. We arrived early and wanted to have drinks at the bar but it was full. We were told to come back for our allotted reservation (the bar only seats 8). \n\nThe space is intimate with mostly table seating. Menu is decent. We started with the fried seafood, Aranci balls and yellowtail. Portions are small, food is unremarkable. Caesar salad had fresh anchovies, nice touch. Bread service is $10, so irritating. \n\nSquid ink pasta was excellent. Filets were good although not Prime and Ora King was decent, although 6 oz. portion not filling. \n\nThey offer corkage fee for $50 bottle, two bottle max which we took advantage of although our waiter wasn't happy about it. \n\nOverall, Allora is nothing to write home about and nothing stands out on the menu. For a "coastal" Italian restaurant and owned by the DeVos family, our expectations were not met and will not return.“

“Five stars! We ended a week of camping with a vehicle delay on our way home and stopped for lunch at Big Bob’s while my husband took the truck to get fixed. First of all, the food was amazing (our son said the deep dish was better than Giordano’s). But more importantly, Rob and his staff took were beyond hospitable to our 3 kids and I as we spent the next 5 hours utilizing their Uno cards, Connect Four and enjoying their complementary popcorn. If you’re ever in the Grand Rapids area we highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back next time we come through Grand Rapids.“

About 14 minutes ago, I got a call from a GR number and ignored it .... because ROBO CALLS all the time..... I got a voicemail from James @ Jet’s trying to determine if my order was for tonight (since I forgot to change delivery time to tomorrow 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️) or for tomorrow. “Honestly I can't believe it took so long to get around to trying flos pizza. I've been mourning a good local shop with a outstanding crust since brick road pizza went down, and I've finally found it.
If you're serious about a good crisp, but chewy crust, literally look no further.
To be honest, they missed a topping or two for the pizza we ordered, but I literally could not care less. This is the best pizza I've ever gotten in town.“

“My husband took me out for what he still calls date night after 30 yrs. of marriage. He and I are both foodies and love going on adventures for restaurants that go a step above in both food taste, presentation, atmosphere and service. And I'm here to tell you that Alfanos hit all of these with flying colors. Cody and Alex were our bartenders/servers. They were excellent. I had the Chicken picata and it was off the chart with flavor and presentation not to mention a healthy serving. Delicious is all I kept saying. Compliments to the chef!!!!! My goodness I can't wait to go and try something else. My husband had the chicken parmesan dinner and too was very pleased.
