“My wife and enjoyed our 55th anniversary with dinner at Amore'. Chef Jenna visited every table in our area and asked about every course we ordered. This is by far the best restaurant in the Grand Rapids area: we ordered the 5 course Chef's menu and each had something different from appetizers through desserts so we could taste all. From the waiter, the live music, our beverages, and Jenna's attention paid to all, the best meal ever.“

“I’ve visited this location a few times in the past month after not been to an Olive Garden in years. Both dining experiences here I’ve had incredible service … better than some places we’ve spent 200+ dollars at for a “fine” dining experience. Food is tasty & consistent. “I do love going to Angela's. I always have the best Wet Burritos. I am not going to not recommend but we were there recently celebrating my sons raise. Everything came out timely and great except his pizza was dropped and had to be remade. it did come out a little undercooked when he finally got it. Not only did he not get to eat with us but his meal was essentially ruined. I still love visiting but a little disappointed that they didn't at least offer reduced price on it or something. Thank you for reading.“

“We celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary at one our favorite places. Our server Jacob was amazing! We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was great. The parmesean cheese wheel is back!!!! You must try the Alfredo dish if you haven't before. Great service, great wine, and great food. Highly recommend.“

“My husband and I came here for my 28th birthday and had such an amazing experience! Our waiter was very kind, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was amazing. We had calamari as our starter and I had the mushroom ravioli and my husband had the steak and we loved all of it! For dessert we ordered a s’mores dessert and were pleasantly surprised! I heard they have a speak easy type of lounge downstairs which is unfortunately closed on Mondays which was the day we went. But I’ll definitely be going back go see it!“

“Five stars! We ended a week of camping with a vehicle delay on our way home and stopped for lunch at Big Bob’s while my husband took the truck to get fixed. First of all, the food was amazing (our son said the deep dish was better than Giordano’s). But more importantly, Rob and his staff took were beyond hospitable to our 3 kids and I as we spent the next 5 hours utilizing their Uno cards, Connect Four and enjoying their complementary popcorn. If you’re ever in the Grand Rapids area we highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back next time we come through Grand Rapids.“

“We order Jets very regularly at our office. So about 15 minutes ago I ordered tomorrow’s office lunch from Jet's Pizza Forest Hills location. About 14 minutes ago, I got a call from a GR number and ignored it .... because ROBO CALLS all the time..... I got a voicemail from James @ Jet’s trying to determine if my order was for tonight (since I forgot to change delivery time to tomorrow 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️) or for tomorrow. In his voicemail he mentioned that since we usually order on Mondays, he’s going to assume it’s for tomorrow unless I call back. How many companies would go through that trouble??? Or even remember their regular clients?? I’m impressed. 👏🏼👏🏼“

“Had lunch today. Our server was very sweet and very good. We ordered the lasagna and seafood Alfredo. Wonderful on all accounts. Left with leftovers. Nowadays it's hard to find a meal that tastes like your mother made it. Huge compliments to the chef!! You are missing out if you haven't stopped into this gem. “Issues with the economy and rare good workers can make running a business hard. This shop has been running great for a long time. Recently I have noticed an incredible progress in satisfying food. They're making a good stride and effort to beat the odds and continue great service. Not everyone has to be friendly but the food quality lately is spectacular. 5 stars / would recommend. Support local, the economy is hard as it is, this place has served me well some years now.“

“My husband took me out for what he still calls date night after 30 yrs. of marriage. He and I are both foodies and love going on adventures for restaurants that go a step above in both food taste, presentation, atmosphere and service. And I'm here to tell you that Alfanos hit all of these with flying colors. Cody and Alex were our bartenders/servers. They were excellent. I had the Chicken picata and it was off the chart with flavor and presentation not to mention a healthy serving. Delicious is all I kept saying. Compliments to the chef!!!!! My goodness I can't wait to go and try something else. My husband had the chicken parmesan dinner and too was very pleased. Thank you very much to our servers and the Alfanos for a wonderful date nite and dining experience 😊 we will definitely be back.“

“I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too.
- Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good.
The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up.
I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it.
I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!!
- Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain.
- Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza.
- Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing!
- Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time.
- Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff.
