“I'm on a fixed income, so "fast food" is only an occasional treat for me. I found out about Shawarma Spot through a friend, and it has become my favorite little take-out restaurant. Their portions are quite generous, and you have several options for sauces and toppings. I order the Beef Shawarma, and at $8, I get two delicious meals for the price of one! (Admittedly, as a Senior, I have a small appetite.) Staff is always friendly, and they even put my "sauce on the side", so it still tastes fresh for my leftovers. I've frequently seen work crews there ordering Shawarma's multiple chicken wing deals. Give them a try!“

“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“

“I have eaten here several times and normally it's great with the exception of today (Friday 6/6 around 1PM). The lady I dealt with was awful. The bowl was put together sloppy and the lady upcharged me on everything and told me only after she put everything in the bowl. I will specifically avoid this place on Fridays when this person works, but will continue to come the rest of the time.

Update: after about 10 visits here I can say a few things real quick. I think the staff needs a lot more room behind the counter they dance around each other trying to provide the best and quickest service possible.

Also, the space needs some sound insulation, the staff has a really hard time hearing us. A few small modifications can make a huge quality of life difference for these hard workers who serve delicious healthy food.“

“I’m surprised by the reviews. I had a great experience. All the reviews about the service - it’s not a sit down restaurant. Had the chicken Cesar pita. It was amazing. I’ll be back just for the pita not to shop at the mall! Chicken was marinated, very tender and juicy. Perfect amount of dressing. The Romain was fresh and crisp. French fries were almost like steak fries. Not overly greasy. Highly recommend checking this place out next time you’re shopping at the mall. Prices are typical.“

Food is absolutely phenomenal. I go there and I won't leave without my hashbrowns. For years the spiral cut French fries have been my favorite fries at any fast casual chain. Yesterday I was at Royal Oak and the fries have changed for the worse. There is a new batter style and they were too salty. Please bring back the old fries!!!“
