“This place is AMAZING! Walking into this bar is like walking into yesteryear. From the vintage cash register to the antique bar, the Cook Hotel bar is a blast from the past and a pleasant change of pace. Our bartender, Christina, was friendly, funny, and all about great service. Make no mistake: this place is not fancy. They have a basic beer selection (bottles & cans), serve their wine from boxes, and don’t offer any food. But they do have a full selection of liquor and you can order a fabulous pizza from Tivoli’s (across the street), have it delivered, and eat it in the bar. If you ever find yourself in Richmond, definitely check the Cook Hotel bar out! You’ll be glad you did!“

“Wow! Have you seen the new weekend Brunch Menu? Amazing choices cooked to perfection. If you are a vegetarian there are numerous choices. Love Bacon? French toast? Protein Bowels, not the usual cookie cutter choices. The chef is five star. ⭐️ I can’t say enough about how good the menue is. The service was exceptional. The new Manager has really stepped everything up including the drink menu. Plus the decor is fun! Stopped in after the Parkinsons Run and was delighted by the new menu. Yum Can’t wait to go back.“

“It is an amazing place and I am very honored to be a member to this private club. The people couldn't be more friendly and the food is out of this world. The atmosphere is what draws you in the most. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, awesome place to go. Hippie and Frankie will be lifelong members as long as they keep going 5 stars 4 sure“

“We were there for burgers & to watch the Lions game and it was fantastic! Our waitress, Sarah, was very friendly and so on top of everything we needed! Burgers & hot dogs were delicious! Definitely going to make it a frequent stop!“

“We drove to Adair Bar with relatives because of a recommendation. We chose to sit outside as I have a service dog. She was in her gear and it was clear she was a working dog for a person with disabilities. The waitress came up and told me she would not serve me because of the dog. I explained my need of her and that did not matter, the dog had to go. I asked to speak to the owner/manager, and was denied. I was so embarrassed and felt so discriminated against, something that I have not felt ever before in a place of business. During the short time we spent there we witnessed kitchen and other staff coming outside to smoke marijuana. Clearly this place does not have it's priorities sorted and is not concerned about the violations committed.“

“I've been coming here a long time. It's nice to go out to eat and spend money on food that is consistently delicious and it's even better under new owners! The staff is amazing but my favorite is Kody, she's awesome!!“

“I've been to Papa's many times, for b'fast and dinner. Papa's is one of my favorite restaurants. Always great service , nice cozy atmosphere and prices are too good to be true. They have the BEST Blood Mary.“

“We had a great Coney Island style breakfast here. Waitress and other wait staff were very nice. They had only a handful of omelettes to choose from but all solid breakfast choices. Eggies were as ordered. Good shredded hash browns and good ranch. Will return.“

“This place really does feel like a garage with blocks and bumpers and the spark plugs chandelier. A man's kind of bar right here for sure. I don't what it was that made them so damn good specifically but this place has got the fried pickles down man. I'm already craving them again. Best fried pickles I've ever had hands down. Also the Cheeseburger was delicious as well. This establishment has earned my money. 11/10 overall I will be ordering takeout and datenight here in the near future.“

“Stopped in today for lunch with my daughter and son in law. First thing to notice is how clean this place is. I’m talking spotless. Our waitress, Nicole, greeted us with smiles and laughs. Everything ordered was fabulous, and hot. 10/10 for this place. We will come back!! The steak bites were so good. Chicken fingers were in house breaded, the brisket sandwich was so tender. I see there’s no new recommendations so I posting one.“

“Visited this past Sunday for the first time in a year. Was pleasantly surprised at the fresh atmosphere- prior visits felt old, dingy, out dated! My first impression was the friendly staff & the lighter brighter feel of the inside. It was too windy for outdoor seating, but we were given a prime window table for optimal views. Manager Julie & Waitress Kayla were both attentive and accommodating! Calamari for appetizer, warm fresh bread and butter, started our dining experience… off to a great start! The entree portions were perfect & served properly plated. French onion soup was good, but the tomato bisque style soup hit the mark! My asparagus paired the chicken picatta entree well, cooked to a perfect crisp to enjoy! We were able to enjoy our meal without being rushed and the service was excellent! After chatting with the manager about my experience we decided this would definitely be a spot to dine again! (I took a first timer - who’s also culinary trained foodie)“

“First time here! This was really delicious Pizza! I had a small order of 4 pc.'s with Cheese, Pepperoni, Green Peppers, Mushrooms and Double-Bacon! WOW! Let's EAT! It is really great here too because you can eat inside and enjoy the radio or you can come outside and eat on the patio where we can enjoy the sunlight and fresh air while we gobble up our yummy food! If this isn't enough; I told the guy I was going to be outside on the patio and he said he'd bring it out to me! How cool is THAT?!
