“My family frequently orders take out from this place. The food is always good and fresh. I wasn’t particularly impressed with their new fish fry though. Seems like maybe it just came frozen feom GFS, not much flavor and the breading was that of a crispy chicken tender. Very friendly staff!“
“Exactly what it should be! Corner, small town bar. Excellent burger. Old town bar, when you walk in everyone is watching out of the corner of their eye, fun bartenders. Simple at its best. Burger, beer, and the best of grungy small town bars.“
“It is an amazing place and I am very honored to be a member to this private club. The people couldn't be more friendly and the food is out of this world. The atmosphere is what draws you in the most. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, awesome place to go. Hippie and Frankie will be lifelong members as long as they keep going 5 stars 4 sure“
“This is a nice restaurant with a bar atmosphere. The food is a bit on the pricey side but it was worth the money. We shared the Texas cheese fries appetizer and the seafood platter with mashed and gravy. The cheese fries were very good. The mixture of cheese, jalapeños, and bacon went well with their delicious ranch. The scallops and fish had a perfect light, crunchy breading. The gravy was perfect. We also tried the Witches Brew drink which was pretty strong and tasted great.“
“Town Pump is a hidden gem for burger enthusiasts! Their burgers are a symphony of flavors, a true delight for your taste buds. Plus, the wallet-friendly beer selection adds a refreshing touch to the overall experience. It's a must-visit for burger lovers on a budget!“
“A culinary gem! From the warm welcome to the exquisite dishes, every moment was a delight. The menu offers a diverse selection, and each dish is crafted with precision. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, perfect for any occasion. Highly recommend!“
“I tried the perch this Friday. Wife had French dip & my daughter had the toasted Ravioli. Everything was very good including the service. W a good atmosphere & friendly staff. We will be going back for sure.Parking: Usually just park on the street in front of the Restaurant“
“I hadn't been to this place in over 25 years, and it still feels the same! Looks a bit different inside, but the feeling is still there. Small hometown pub with good food and great service and atmosphere! Will be visiting by boat this summer for sure!“
“I almost hate to post my review as I have nothing but great things to say about this place. This might cause my favorite eating place to become super crowded! We eat here often. The food is delicious and reasonably priced in todays market. Everything we've tried is just great. There are daily specials on food and drinks. The hamburgers and fries are good. We've tried the pulled pork and Philly steak sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My only complaints is sometimes the jukebox music is too loud to be able to talk at your table and when the garage doors are open the smokers sit outside and smoke at tables where it clearly says not to do. This causes their smoke to come in the restaurant. Maybe they can't read. They do have live bands on the weekends too. If you haven't tried this place you certainly should. You won't be disappointed.“
“One of the best burgers and fries that I've had in a very long time and by looking at the place you would not think it but the cook definitely knows how to cook a burger and it is homemade it is not Gordon's or sysco precooked Pattie“
“This place is AMAZING! Walking into this bar is like walking into yesteryear. From the vintage cash register to the antique bar, the Cook Hotel bar is a blast from the past and a pleasant change of pace. Our bartender, Christina, was friendly, funny, and all about great service. Make no mistake: this place is not fancy. They have a basic beer selection (bottles & cans), serve their wine from boxes, and don’t offer any food. But they do have a full selection of liquor and you can order a fabulous pizza from Tivoli’s (across the street), have it delivered, and eat it in the bar. If you ever find yourself in Richmond, definitely check the Cook Hotel bar out! You’ll be glad you did!“
