“After living in the South for many years, I have become very particular about my BBQ joints. I am pleased to say this place is good. Missing some key items like rib-tips, baked potatoes, etc. The menu is a little confusing but not bad. The upcharge on the brisket should have its own place to not confuse people on why there is an upcharge for picking 2 meats. The bbq sauce is ok, better than most. The brisket was very dry and felt like it was a day old. The pulled pork was also very dry, but both had good taste.“
“After spending many years in the military it's nice to go to a place that brings back the good memories of service. It appears that's their thing BBQ & First Responder/Military theme. Nice prices, tasty BBQ, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere make this a fun visit.“
“The waitress was very attentive got us everything we needed. The chicken and waffle sandwich is amazing. The hush puppies with remoulade really hit the spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Typical difficulty of most restaurants with a double door vestibule but other than that it was beautiful lots of wheelchair accessible tables.“
“Such a cool place. The bar tender was the best, super friendly and fun. The crab cakes were the best I’ve had in Michigan! The cocktails were strong but yummy! The bar tender gave us a tour of the place and was telling us how the basement is haunted. This place is connected to a coffee shop that’s open during the day which is also good and worth trying. You can have a small event here too.“
“Had a late-night taste for a carryout bbq beef ribs so i called the House of Barbeque 30 minutes before closing and they were 86 on beef ribs (understandable since it was 30 minutes before closing) so I opted for a slab of pork ribs. I was pleasantly surprised! Tasty, tender, perfectly smoked pork ribs and the sauce.....MMMMM Good!!! Had the opportunity to speak with the Master Chef/Owner of this hidden gem in Clawson and trust me, after satisfying my late-night craving....I will be back! If the rest of the House of Barbeque's fare is as good as the pork ribs (and I'm sure it is), I'll be one of your best customers. Clawson and surrounding communities, this is the real deal!!! Check it out!“
“Authentic place. No menu, no sides, no cards, cash only. If you're looking to walk in and get some delicious no frills food this is your place. The duck was fantastic and comes with a nice sauce on the side. It was about $20 for half a duck. Looking forward to trying so more things they offer. No for the faint of heart, they pull the full duck down and chop it up right in front of you. Don't mind the complaining reviews, this place is definitely more old school but worth the stop“
“First-time customer and I had my doubts when I placed the order on the phone. I was a little confused with the pizza style they had, so I just ended up ordering the Chicago style with wings. I went to pick it up my order and everyone was nice and friendly in the place. Overall, I made a good choice. The pizza and wings were very good. I am definitely going back!“
“I stop by Zhang's all the time. The managers are always kind and helpful. Their BBQ is made fresh daily, so I go earlier for the best selection. I always get a whole roast duck-- flavorful and crispy. It is clean and well kept inside, I recommend!“
“This location is relatively new, and they are hitting it out of the park! Great service and most importantly food! Both the interior and exterior were clean and pleasant to look at! I had the Nashville chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious! Phylicia did an amazing job and I will definitely be coming back!“
“Found myself in Clawson today at lunch time. Found Woodpile with Google.I ordered the weekday lunch special for $12.95 - one meat, one side and a pop - and got a second side becauseI couldnt decide. Still under $20 with tip.The lady at the counter was very pleasant and possessed an honest sense of humor and wore a smile the whole time. One bite of the brisket, before sauce and without the bun, and I knew I'd be back here. Perfection in three thick slices carefully laid on the bun. Moist, tender, almost falling apart. Then I tried the mac & cheese. Another hit. I wish I could make it half as good. Noodles are perfectly cooked, the sauce is almost decadent in its flavor and delightfully creamy. The coleslaw. Among the best I've ever had. It has actual flavor. Not just some cabbage & dressing, there is thought behind this side. Multiple vegetables with just a hint of cayenne (?) & maybe horseradish. Not hot, just seriously tasty.Even the corn bread, wrapped in foil, was moist, sweet, delicious. The tables built around barrels are cool, as are the "live edge" high tops. There is outdoor seating as well for the non-winter months. They have carry-out as well.Like I said before, I'll be back. Having recently moved from Tampa area, I have to try the Barbe-Cuban sandwich to see how it stacks up.Parking: The off-street parking is only about 8 spaces. Room for about 4 more on the street.Kid-friendliness: One look at the menu and the kids will be happy.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room inside, wide entry door is easy to open.“
“My husband and i went on a Friday evening. There are only a few parking spots in front of the building so expect to park on the street. Not a problem just giving information.Very good food. Attentive staff. It's was fairly busy when we got there but had good service and the food came out quick. Extremely fair portion sizes for the price. I ordered the loaded fries and was surprised by the amount of food. Their bbq sauce is worth the trip. The only loss of star is for the temperature. It was cold in the restaurant. It was a cold night out so that may have had an effect. This is a solid BBQ restaurant to enjoy.Kid-friendliness: It's a bbq bar atmosphere. Don't bring your kids and ruin it for the other patrons.“
“I always loved their food but then their meals got even better since the new ownership. The Korean barbecue combos are plenty enough for the family of 4 or more depending on your choices, and the quality of the meat is superb. My other favorite is Korean-Chinese combo (Jjajang myon, Jjampong, Tang su yuk). Also the staff are very pleasant. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner.“
“Perfect hangout spot! With a diverse bar selection, live entertainment, karaoke nights, delicious food, top-notch service, pool, darts, and a lively atmosphere, it's a super fun place. If you're looking for a guaranteed good time, look no further than Jamboozies!“
“Wont go the extra mile, spent over $200 in aweek , ordered a wing dinner ladt night an was late picking it up, car breaking down even called an told them, got there within the hour to pick up, got home wings were hard and cold!!!! Not real happy now“
“Went on the app to be on the waitlist. When we arrived, I let the young lady know we are here and asked about where we stood. She said we have to wait until the time on the app (which was 10 mins away). We stayed on the inside because we never got the confirmation text. I go back up to the counter that we were standing next to at our time and told her its out time. She blantly said we called you 5 mins ago. I said lady no you did not I never got a text, and I am standing right here next to the counter. Someone else came over to seat us. She sat there and lied in our face. We were seated and the service from there was really good, and the food was good as always.“
“Great hamburger. Waitress was wonderfulThey have trivia night on Tuesday. You can order food and drink while you're playing triviaUnfortunately they have switched to Pepsi. Please switch back to coke coke is still the no. 1 selling pop“
“We sat in the bar area on a Sunday. All the employees we encountered were friendly and our server was great. I didn't get her name. She had great suggestions on beer, too. The seasoned & Parmesan fries are delicious. And the prices are great while most places seem to be overcharging for mediocre food & beer.Parking is easy, free and no worries about getting hosed by parking meters like with the new ones downtown. Tickets can get mailed late & $45 late fine quickly added = $65 for a parking ticket. Ridiculous. We avoid downtown now except on Sundays when parking is free. Highly recommend this place and the location in Washington.“
“Got a new York strip(with 7 pepper seasoning!!). It was very good and cooked to order.Unfortunately they forgot two of my sides but it can be overlooked as they are understaffed so service was a bit slow.Overall:Will go again when my diet allows.“
“This place is a delight! Ordered the chicken luncheon special me with coleslaw my hubby French fries. They threw in some of the wedges because we had never been before. They were the best, but everything was great, including the manager and the guy running the counter. The food was “
