“The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding.“

“I was served a Heineken that had a broken top on it two times. I noticed the first time and told the redhead. She served me another one and put the broken glass beer bottle on the counter instead of dumping it. A blonde dreadhead served me the same warm broken bottle later on when I didn't even ask for another beer. I took a sip of it without noticing it was the same bottle from earlier and it cut my lip. When I brought this up to the redhead , she started yelling at me and telling me to not talk to her sideways. She then charged at me to attack me. Multiple patrons had to hold her back multiple times. I am owed an apology and the owner should find better help on Sundays.“

“More of a bar atmosphere, but the bartenders were amazing! Food was amazing! Super awesome. Got the triple meal and the rib meat literally fell off the bone. The brisket even had the pickiest grandkids wanting more, but I had to hide the mac and cheese or they would’ve eaten it all! 10/10. My only criticism about the atmosphere is that for the quality of the food, I feel like it would be uptight and more of a restaurant/smoke house than a bar… no complaints, I love that, just threw me off at first“

“The place was awesome great burgers and extremely great prices. The wait staff was great me and my wife popped in for a beer and some food. We were greeted instantly when we walked in And we had drinks in front of us in about 2 minutes The food was awesome The burgers range from about 8 bucks to 12 bucks depending on what you order. The fries were like five bucks for a whole basket. They also have outdoor seating with a nice patio in downtown Utica which is great. Right down the street from Jimmy John's field. You could definitely sit out on the patio and watch the fireworks when the field is doing them. Could definitely bring children here. Not so much wheelchair friendly as there are a couple steps inside. Although I'm sure you can manage somehow. There are plenty of places to park around the back there's a big lot that you can park in down the road or you can get lucky and get a spot in downtown Utica. The service was fantastic The burgers were cooked to perfection and drinks were ice cold what more could you ask for. I'm definitely recommending this place and we will definitely be back You can't beat it.

“We live nearby but had never visited MacKenzie Tavern until recently. Glad we did! The food is quite good, especially when Yamin is in the kitchen. Pasta dishes are always on point. Good gyro, too. Domestic beer prices are among the best I can find. I've seen some reviews that describe the place as "a bit of a dive." And your point is? It's nothing fancy but neither am I. Try it. You'll like it.“

Like a cheers atmosphere you wanna go where everyone knows your name. Ms Krystal is sweet and loving and people be dressed to impress there. TV's seating 💺 ♥️ people call it a "hole in the wall" but those same people be in attendance "lol They come from all over the city to this place you must get there early on Sunday nights cause DJ Tony Rome be on hot blazing 🔥 fire. Dance, entertainment etc. Everytime my out of town guest / sweetheart comes to visit Detroit she has to come there before she leaves its a must.“

You could say divey or hipster, but also all-inclusive. Usually good more-modern indie music playlist which is appreciated. Chris was a great bartender but I think he's unfortunately moved on, will be missed. Spacious covered patio out back is good for smokers & has some fun games (cornhole, connect4, etc).
