“I hosted a group dinner at this place on Leap Day. When I set up the reservation it was for about 25 with plans for me to call a few days out. I forgot to call but they called me back the afternoon of the event. It turned out to be such a beautiful day, 60's no snow, that 35+ showed up to my 4PM event. I called them back as promised and said there would be 35+ for the 6PM reservation, and everyone would be responsible for their own bill. By 6:15 the group had grown to over 53 guests in our party the weather made travels much better than expected.... The staff didn't bat an eye or turn us away. They sat us all and still had 1 or 2 tables open most of the time. The wait staff and Manager (Owner?) busted their butts! Everyone was talking, several of the group were walking around between tables. Food came out of the kitchen as fast as it could and for the most part was timely and hot. I didn't hear of a single error of anyone's order. In fact most complemented at how good the food was. The place was perfect for our large group. The food and service were top notch. Several of us liked it so much last night we returned the following day for another awesome meal I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning In the near future from Kalamazoo with family to meet other friends here. Thanks to the kitchen and wait staff for an awesome meal and service!!!!“

“We discovered one of Jackson's gems today. It's not a huge place but it's fantastic so if you have to wait- know that it's worth it. They have a variety of selections so I think it's safe to say something for everyone. My quiche Lorraine (a regularly offered choice) was delicious and the cranberry orange walnut muffin was outstanding. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly“

“This is a clean and fun atmosphere. The food is prepared right every time. The servers here are friendly and do a good job following up with your satisfaction and drink refills. The fish is one of my favorites, but you really can't go wrong on the food here. Price is reasonable for what you would expect for the atmosphere. “One of the best meals I've had in quite a long time. The place is clean and taken care of well. The TouchTunes machine is amazing and has a great selection of music. But the highlight was definitely our waitress Mary. She deserves the whole world and more for her kindness and the conversation. Very easy person to talk to. Definitely recommend“

“We eat at Shortys once a week. We love the specials (great smoked wings, smoke ribeye hoagie and lasagna just to name a few), excellent pizza and sandwiches. Service is speedy and friendly every time. It can be loud sometimes if it’s a full house but then other times is a quiet atmosphere.“

“Small coney island with a rooster theme. The place was packed the whole time we were there. It's not a place for large parties but definitely a place of local flare. Amy was our server and did a great job. She helped me make a coney dog omlet that was huge. Great time “

“Very loud I wear hearing aids and I had to turn them off. The Food was good and everyone at the table was happy. Service was good it was a slow time so they may have helped. “Our waitress Allison was there for us all the time. We never had to wait for anything. She was kind and courteous. We had all you can eat shrimp dinner and it was wonderful. I am certainly going to come back and eat there again. I just loved it ❤️“

“Oh my gosh I just love this place! The food here is literally always quality and the staff is amazing. The only issue I’ve ever had here was I placed an online order once and when I arrived the internet was down so they had no physical record of my order, but they accepted my email receipt as proof and were able to get me my food either way and within 10 minutes tops. I will recommend this place to any and everyone for any meal time every time.“

“I ate here for the first time the other day (February 2024) as it was close by where I was atI found the service and the food to be really good. I very much enjoyed the "Polish platter" which included golumpki, perogies, kapust, potato pancakes and roast pork. My father enjoyed his hamburger and sweet potato fries.I will be back for the Polish dish again.“

“Excellent rates, very amiable wait staff, delicious breakfasts, and a breathtaking outlook. We travel from AZO/Kalamazoo two or three times a month specifically for this eatery. Some days of the week they also have a Bloody Mary bar that is great. The only thing that could make this site better is the ability to hear the communication from the tower. For non-pilots, that would be awesome.“

“What a lovely dining experience in Jackson. After viewing the large picture out front and on the front of the menu, I had to get the fried chicken with mac n cheese and green beans. It was great and perhaps only exceeded by the kind hospitality of the staff.“
