“Red Ginger is the full experience. The staff (Randy is our favorite server), drinks, food and atmosphere are simply put… AMAZING! They keep great records for when we call to make reservations. We always get the table we like. They are on top of allergy sensitive issues and are willing to adjust menu items (when they can) so we have more options. We never feel rushed or like they are trying to push us out for another sitting. This is our favorite restaurant to visit!“

“This is our favorite restaurant in Traverse City. I’ve dined here many times times over the past several years and have been impressed each and every time. The food is always above expectations and on every visit there is something new to try. The atmosphere is cozy and never rushed. From the gracious owner, to the exceptional servers and the amazing bartender (she really is the best) they always make you feel like family. For food, we tried some delicious small plates, including the Whitefish Pate and the Charcuterie Board. “Stopped in for a quick beer. The IPA on tap was good but they have a small line up of beers for how big a space it is. Inside nice concrete floor. Forward thinking bathrooms for men to change babies was a great touch. Has an outdoor patio area that looked like it could use a little tlc though...there was a surprising amount of space inside but I think it could be better spaced as the hightop tables seemed congested to me. Simple fixes. Just takes effort.“

“Heard about this place on WTCM (local country radio station) when Troy visited with some of That'sa Pizza pizzas. We decided to try it for dinner prior to a concert we were attending... exceeded our expectations! All the staff were friendly, specially Brayden, our waitstaff person. We ordered the Original on a thin crust with garlic and parmesan on the crust... delicious! I'm not always a fan of thin crust..sometimes more like a cracker, but this was perfect...thin but with still some dough...enough toppings and the flavor spot on ... paired with a nice red wine (Tempranillo?). We've already planned a trip back with friends!“

Both Nikki and Rae were positive, professional, prompt and refreshingly upbeat. In an economy that is all too often focused on commodities, the service your team provided made the food, that much better. I'll definitely be back, the next time I'm in Traverse City and of course, recommend the Flap Jack Shack to people who are traveling there. Please pass my appreciation on to Nikki and Rae, as well as their manager, who has obviously been instrumental in creating a service-first team! ps. “Stopped in to pickup a bottle of red wine and wanted to show a friend how nice this place was. Last time we did the dinner and wine package. The grounds of this place are absolutely beautiful. Grab a glass of wine and sit out back on the patio or by the grape vines.“

“This place was great! The bloody mary was delicious. We had the spinach dip with pita chips and tortilla chips. Tasted great. The wedge salad was so good. My husband had the chicken tenders and waffle fries which he thought were delicious. The wait staff were so friendly too. We will definitely be back!“

“sara was great, unfortunately her shift ended during our tasting and we were stuck with Sherri who not only left us feeling ignored, she tried to end my aunts tasting twice before they got to their last wine. also sara was promoting the club membership so well that we almost signed up while sherri didnt even let us get the $15 tasting with the glass and charged us without confirming what was in our order and when we informed her of her mistake, she told us to just buy a glass on the way out. good luck making money with her around, like we were asking to buy stuff and sherri made it harder to.“

“Best olive burger in Traverse City. The burger was cooked perfectly and fries were delicious. This is a one of those classic, local places that become rarer as the years go by. The staff were always nearby and asking how things were going. I'm not a regular, but enjoyed the banter between the regulars and staff.“

“Have been buying Asiago Roasted Garlic bread for years. Great Bread toasted loaded with real garlic cloves. However the last loaf lacked any Garlic at all. “While staying in Traverse City, we ventured upon this delicious restaurant. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the entrees,to the sides, and the drinks; everything was delicious! I would highly recommend their Smoked Cherry Sour, the Smoked & Deep-Fried Wings, the Sword Fish & Black Lentils, and the Smoked Pork Rinds. And the staff? They were friendly and accommodating. We just might have to visit again before we journey home. There were additional items on the menu I was curious to try.“
