“This was by far the BEST chinese food i've had in years. The lady working the phone and pick up was super friendly and helpful. The eggrolls were perfectly crispy and delicious. The shrimp fried rice, not only looked amazing, but the flavor was spot on! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I've finally found our families new go to Chinese place.“

“At first I was kinda worried about the Chinese place since the reviews have been saying people get sick but this wasn’t the case the food was nice and delicious I ordered the chicken fried rice it had a good portion and the chicken had a good amount and not to much of a oily favor I’d come back here again“

“Finding good Chinese food is hard! But I did it! So far I have only eaten one dish and that is the General Taos Chicken medium spice. The sauce is very good (sweet, spicy, not too thick or to thin), the chicken is fried well it could be just a bit more crispy but still very good, the eggroll is tasty, and the fried rice has a light smoky flavor. It was delicious! This is a takeout-only restaurant.“

“I’m a big supporter of family own restaurants. Always on the hunt to support small businesses. I never understand when people are expecting some extraordinary services at carry out restaurants, but the employees are nice and willing to answer any questions that I have; I’ve never had any issues when I order here.

For quick eats I always order the almond chicken or sweet and sour chicken. Solid choices. Sometimes I’ll order the Chinese menu (instead of take out menu) for bigger dinner meals. Prices are fair, quantity is good. You definitely get what you paid for. Food is consistently good.“

“I'm working out of town in Troy, MI and stopped to get dinner on the way back to the hotel and I'm glad I did. I ordered the almond chicken dinner combo, it came with fried rice and an egg roll, I also ordered some crab rangoon. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! And there was a lot of it! “Authentic Chinese food, authentic Sichuan cuisine. Is it the best out there, probably not, but better than a lot of other popular Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit. The have American Chinese food items too so everyone can enjoy what they like. Food is great, everything we order is on point, except for the dried fish. I think if the stove is hotter and the pan has a higher temperature, the fish and the spices (garlic, chillis) will be less soggy.“

I had ordered beef egg, foo young lunch portion for both days and both portions were the same and cooked with fresh ingredients. The portions are massive even for lunch. The soup was on the lower end of hot and sour soups I've had. If I return to this place, I wouldn't order it again. The General Tso's, however, was excellent. It wasn't groundbreaking, or especially unique, but it was delicious. The quantity bolstered the enjoyment- one could easily get two meals out of it as I did. I rarely order fried rice, but this place served excellent fried rice.

The service was excellent. It was quick, efficient, and pleasant. The lady who took my order was very nice, and I had my food within 15 minutes.

The atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about, it was a hole-in-the wall carry out restaurant, but it did its job.“

“Among the mediocre chinese restaurants in these parts, CW is a standout. Food is good or better. You can count on a level of quality. Egg rolls are very good, cabbage. If they had a special deal for egg rolls, like a deal for 5 or 10, I would visit more often. Best wishes, CW. no one is better at this price.“

“I have been looking for an actual "good" Chinese take out. As most Chinese in the Royal oak, Ferndale, Oak park area are bellow average bland Chinese. I got word that Madison heights has some great Chinese spots so I gave Chao Zhou a chance and I was immediately hooked. You can taste the quality in this food.

Chao Zhou sticks out from the rest and is something I can definitely recommend people try. Probably the best General Tao's chicken I've had in a long time. The Singapore noodles was another stand out option that I also loved.

Maybe if you want something added, ask for it next time ( read a lot of complaints about onions not in the fried rice) but it was delicious. Sweet and Sour sauce served as a side…perfect so the chicken doesn’t get soggy (and yes it would thicken if you let it cool-another response to a bad review). Overall, would definitely recommend. Dumplings were fantastic, soup was full of wontons.“

The girl who took my order was friendly and helpful.
The place was very clean.
The order came out quick , it was hot and packaged nicely.
I got the Cashew Chicken lunch combo and it was really good , plenty of chicken, vegetables and cashews.
Came with a large serving of fried rice and a very tasty egg roll with sweet and sour sauce on the side .
The serving size of this meal was big , plenty for lunch with some left over and it only cost $ 8.85 which is amazing for the quality and quantity.

“The best Chinese in the state of Michigan . We used to live a couple of blocks down auburn rd and we would take out once a week. Now the last 5 years whenever the wife , kids and I want Chinese we have to drive 1/2 hour to get Pings . Really there is no eating at another Chinese place once you have one bite of their generous and delectable proportions . House made duck sauce and egg rolls are the best ever !“
