“Great food options for a smallish bar. There is a chef there during week (Tues-Fri?) who offers handwritten menu of specials. We had the baked meatballs (delicious) and the Cajun shrimp scampi (added more heat). One of our favorite places for smaller group dinners!“

“Great service and the food was delicious had a slim jim and a grilled hamberger with French fries. Our car broke down in there parking lot and the employees were so very helpful trying to help get it started before the tow truck came. We will definitely go back.“

“New Chef Dylan is brilliant! This is not your old lackluster Bronze Door. We have dined at all of the incarnations of this restaurant going back to the original Bronze Door in the 70s - today’s dinner was by far the best meal we have ever had there! The new menu is imaginative without being gimmicky and the execution was superb! We almost did not eat there tonight based on previous experiences but they are close to home and we wanted to dine early. So glad we did! Every dish we had was superb! “Pastaio is a wonderful addition to the Grosse Pointe dining scene. The space feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxed night out that still feels a little special. The food was delicious, with so many great options that make it hard to choose just one favorite. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.

I also loved seeing a well-thought-out mocktail menu. It’s such a nice touch and something that feels very current and inclusive—whether you’re not drinking that night or just want something fun and intentional beyond water or soda.

One of my favorite features of the space is the semi-private area in the back. It’s ideal for hosting—intimate enough to feel special, but still connected to the energy of the restaurant. You can tell this is a place designed with gathering in mind, which I always appreciate.“

Ordered the bake cheese dip to start. Really enjoyed it. Goes really good with the toasted baguettes.

Full menu of options for drinks. No frozen drinks tho. They do not have a blender. They carry Faygo pop and that was a real treat.

Ordered the chicken Caesar salad. If I had known that, the salad came premixed I would’ve asked for the salad dressing on the side. It turned the Romain lettuce, soggy quickly. Couldn't take the left overs. Dressing was on the bitter side.

Also, tried the fire bird sandwich. Bun gave it good texture. Not a fan of the topping choices. Didn’t go well with the cheese and sauce.

I was excepting a little more from the menu. Smaller menu. Will be back.“

“Always amazing wings. Hot, cripsy, perfectly cooked, delicious and simple sauces. Burgers are seriously underrated, especially given the price.

The entire food menu is great, and accurately priced. One person can eat well for $10.

Service is always friendly. The staff works hard. Rachel treats us like family and we love her for it.

Ambiance is comfortable, low-key, unpretentious.

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“My husband and I love going to Stray Cat Lounge for date nights—we’ve been there countless times! The live music is always so much fun, with a great variety of styles. They have an excellent drink selection, and I especially love ordering a chocolate martini from Nick, the bartender, who makes fantastic drinks. We also enjoy smoking cigars while we’re there.

The atmosphere is lively and fun, with cool cat-themed decorations that give the lounge a unique vibe. Whether it’s a date night or a night out with friends, I highly recommend Stray Cat Lounge!“

“We are here for our anniversary and both the food and the service were excellent! We were helped by Chloe and Charlie and they were quick and so sweet. We had the garlic bruschetta, carbonara and salmon which was more than enough to share. The pasta was so fresh and the salmon may have been my favorite salmon I’ve ever had. Because it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary dessert and sent over a prosecco toast on the house! Really excellent place I can’t recommend it more!“

Ordered an Italian calzone and a Philly Cheese Steak calzone and they were delicious. Had we knew how big they were we would have ordered one and split it, but we have lunch for tomorrow.
