My husband had the fish and chips. Couldn't have been happier with our selections. Great service and glad we made the short ride from Holland.“

“We were there to celebrate my birthday. We sat at a high top in the bar. Tia, the bartender, was always attentive and friendly. The food, 4 different meals, was excellent and presented well. And we ordered 4 different bar drinks which were all tasty and delivered in a timely manner. The restaurant was completely full but we never felt “abandoned” by Tia. We would recommend this restaurant to others.“

“If Applebee’s gave out MVP trophies, April would have a whole display case by now. She had my drink refilled before I even realized I was thirsty — I swear she’s got Jedi reflexes. The food came out hot, the vibes were right, and she handled our table smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy.

Applebee’s might be where you go for half-off apps, but April’s the reason you leave feeling like a 5-star guest. Someone give this woman a raise… or at least her own section on the menu.“

“Our server was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. He did a great job. The food was very good, but don't trust that what is on their online menu is what will be on the menu when you arrive. My husband and I each had a dish in mind to order after looking at the website menu, and neither one was actually on the menu in the restaurant! I mentioned that to the server at the end of our meal, and it was clear from his response that it wasn't a concern for the restaurant to keep the website up to date. There are a few dessert options, even though those aren't on the website either.

That said, what we ended up ordering was satisfying, and I would go back for another date night. I am glad we had reservations for a Saturday evening as a couple groups walked in and were not able to be seated.“

“We travel to Holland every year or so and always visit Hops for dinner while there. We enjoy the atmosphere and staff are always attentive and fun. Wagyu steak has been our favorite meal for the past few years as it was always fork tender, moist and flavorful. We were disappointed that while still flavorful it was very tough and dry. I’m not sure if it was the way it was prepared or just a poor cut of steak. Our salads and asparagus were top notch as usual. Our next trip we will still visit Hops but we won’t be ordering the Wagyu steak.“

“Stayed a night at the courtyard hotel and it was very convenient to grab a late night dinner. Service was fast and pleasant. Food was brought fast and it was good . We got to try two different chicken wings with sweet chili and house . Liked that both souses were not crazy spicy hot and you still could taste the chicken! Steak burger medium rare was just what I wanted.

“Ate here after checking in to our hotel room for the night. Pros and cons to having the restaurant adjacent to the pool, but we thought it was pretty entertaining! My partner is gluten-free and our server made sure he was taken care of, including having the kitchen remake his tacos after they accidentally came out in flour tortillas. We loved being able to bring drinks into the pool area too.“

“The service was great I wouldnt ask for more me and my fiancee was eating there and I seen something on my fiancee plate like the plate was dirty so I called my waiter (Nick) over and I told him I was like it looks like my fiancee plate is dirty is it possible for me to get a new one . He said sure I will transfer your food to a different plate . He ask if that was better and I said yes and thank you so much for doing that .
So I have to say 10 out of 10 for Nick for doing that for us . I hope this caught one of the managers attention because he deserves something for what he did . Overall service was great ! 🫠“

“Classic diner with friendly helpful staff. The pecan rolls and bread were a bit dry, but the gouda/ham omelette was good. They allowed me to substitute egg whites for my omelette as well.

“Russ’s offers an American based restaurant with a Dutch spin to it. It’s been around for many years, and I have fond memories from both dining there and working there during my early college years. The food is very good value, salads are fresh however, they tend to be iceberg lettuce based. Desserts are fresh and made at their own facility. I recommend it as a novelty. It’s very popular with tourists to come to the area for a bit of a Dutch experience.“
