“I found this place online, while searching for a place that provided plenty of vegetarian options that my wife might enjoy.

I was not expecting to love the food as much as I did, as I'm still fairly new, somewhat hesitant to try plant-based/vegan foods. But the Pad Thai and the Fried Lemongrass Chili Tofu - I couldn't eat enough of both and the serving size was more than adequate for the both of us to share. The depth of flavor in the Pad Thai was excellent, as I feel many dishes elsewhere hide the food behind the sauces and this is not one of those.

The food was excellent but felt light and I wasn't feeling stuffed but extremely satisfied.

We can't wait to go back and try more dishes, as it was hard to narrow down to two entrees and two appetizers.

and then I spoke with the waiter when I went to pay the bill and he told me about it being a family-run restaurant and such... very cool! We will be back in the near future.

“Say hello to Sarah (with an "H")...our new favorite waitperson at Lago Tacos in Minneapolis. We were visiting our son who recently moved into Excelsior & Grand across the street from Lago Tacos and after a long flight it was just a short walk to what is now our favorite Mexican restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch and great conversation & laughter with Sarah...she made our visit that much nicer! The Chips and Queso as an appetizer were spot on and the Spicy Grilled Chicken Tacos were cooked to perfection and very filling. We also ordered the Chop Salad with Shrimp which was amazing with perfectly prepared shrimp and great flavor. We will be visiting our son in a couple of months and will definitely be stopping into Lago Tacos for a meal. 10 out of 10 stars...thank you Sarah. See you soon. L, John & Jean“

“The only place we go to for pizza cravings. The owner and staff are always friendly and nice. The classic and specialty pizzas are so good and not oily. The spiced wings are great and the mango lassi is so good! Great atmosphere for families with kids as well.“

“I was looking for breakfast at The Viking Fest. No luck. Saw your food truck and decided to try your pizza. I got the white sauce, spinach, garlic, red onion and tandeer? “We come here all the time, and Collin absolutely made our visit tonight. Not sure if he's new, if he is you'd never know it — he was so attentive, upbeat, and on top of everything. Every order was spot-on, every need taken care of quickly, and he made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. “Went here randomly after a karate tournament and we were in the area. We were presently surprised by the variety of food. The quality of everything the service was impeccable, and we were very satisfied with our meals. I was planning to come back the next day, but DJ called me back and offered to make chicken briyani instead. My boyfriend went to pick it up for us and it was awesome! I can’t handle spicy food at all, so I really appreciate them accommodating me and making something I could enjoy. “Scoop shops are the place to get a hand packed pint of vanilla & this is the best vanilla. I can get pint size of the sorbet which I've not seen in store. I had a lemonade & berry smoothie that was just perfect.

I highly recommend hitting up this spot. Parking was mess and I would probably go back much later to avoid crowds.

We had the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Lechon.

The lechon (small plate/appetizer) was smaller in portion than I would have expected for the price, but was still good.

The portions for the main dishes were generous and the food was flavorful.

“We have been coming here for years. This is a great local coffee shop and in the summer the outdoor patio and terrace area can't be beat, like no other coffee shop. The food menu is also executed well with a good variety of breakfast sandwiches, salads, and they have a lot of goods breads and baked items as well. Well worth a visit. This place can get really busy and packed during peak times especially on weekends and the parking lot isn't big so plan ahead a bit.“
