“Amazing! We stopped here for our first time for pre-event drinks with our friends. We anticipated having one cocktail and being on our way, but were instead treated to something more akin to an experience! The GM greeted us and took our order and made sure we got to try more than just our drinks. A whole story about finding someone to re-tie my husband’s bow tie turned into a hilarious challenge for most of the staff. Even to the point that the assistant GM was going to drive to Von Maur while we finished our drinks (we declined..but wow). What kind of place does this!? Our cocktails were amazing, the charcuterie plate was delicious (the jam, honey, and cheese…just wow). But most of all, the staff made everything so memorable. We’ve never experienced anything like this! We will be back soon for a full dinner. Thank you for making our night so enjoyable!“

“Had steak and shrimp $25.99 special. Everything was great except the steak. I unfortunately had to send back a tough gristle filled steak for a better, but tough steak.
The service was excellent, and they did their best to satisfy us. There are many delicious items on their menu, and we will be back... but steak will not be chosen again.“

“A absolute gem of a restaurant in White Bear Lake. In town visiting family & so enjoyed our first time here last night. Very cool & well designed with a great vibe, beautiful bar area where you can comfortably dine also. Which is aso the main diningroom with views of the kitchen & Chefs creations. “I have eaten at just about every Chicago style eatery in Minnesota, and your food was good. I ordered a chicken wing dinner, and I really appreciate that the wings were cooked fresh. Most places the wings are cooked prior to your order and just thrown back in the grease once you placed your order. “

“Well, let's see. I thought it was going to be like a sit-down, relax restaurant. Take your time. Might take a little while for your food to come out. Our server, Ashley, was nice. Quick to come take our order, quick to offer a refill when the beverage ran out. Our meals came out so quickly, though. It felt like not even 20 minutes went by after we placed the order and BAM meals arrive. They must've read my order incorrectly. I said no bleu cheese and it came out with bleu cheese. They brought it back and then like 20 minutes later, brought me a new plate. It looked like they just scraped the side dishes from the original plate to the new plate. They were cold where the extra butter I ordered didn't even melt. The waffle fries on my wife's plate, in my opinion, were cold or old. Wife said they were fine. Service was great! Ashley provided a little discount since they messed up my order. Food on the other hand, felt more like a quick service restaurant versus a sit-down, relax restaurant. No offers for dessert. I didn't even see a dessert menu or on the main menu. This really wasn't the best experience, but not the worst experience. I only recommend Clive's because Ashley was so quick and friendly. For the rest, no I would NOT recommend Clive's.“

She felt bad the Flavor of Day sold out, so she made my chocolate scoop with Love and sp did the cook on my Fresh Grilled Chicken Smadwhich! They did not care I was in drive through at 10:51... 5 MINS BEFORE 11:00 PM when drive thru closes!!“

“So, I’ve had unpredictable bouts of constipation throughout my life. I remember receiving enemas that were meant for elderly individuals when I was 8 or 9. When I attended this restaurant, I haven’t had a bowel movement in around 2-3 days. Previously before that I required stimulant laxatives, which creates muscle contractions to force waste out of your anus. I tried a basic cheeseburger with a side of fries, and a raspberry peach iced tea. As soon as I finished my meal, I felt it. The rumbling that signals such an impending cloud of doom in your stomach, causing your heart to metaphorically drop 50 feet from my chest. I drove home, as I didn’t feel it appropriate to require Perkins to call in a biohazard crew to wall off the women’s restroom. Immediately I rushed down to the toilet, and unleashed hell. 3 days worth of regularly eaten-and-digested goodness exploded out of my bottom like a flood gate- It was indescribable the stench, it could probably harm a small child. Like not normal fecal matter, something radioactive and potent enough to kill a rodent. It was half liquid and half solid as it endlessly exited it’s swollen, dark tomb. I have never felt such relief, and from the most unlikely of places. Thank you, Perkins. May our stars cross again someday when I need to take a giant gorilla dump.“

“Love the music there but was dissapointed with the butter burger. It had been a few years since we ate there. The burger was as thin as mcdonalds burgers and didn't taste the same as back then. Get back the other butter burger please. The place was kept very clean by the disabled worker who was very serious about his work. Thanks for that!!!“

After waiting about 15 minutes to receive our order, we checked in with the staff and they immediately let us know that they would bring it out right away. The manager also assured us that we would receive a coupon and could choose ice cream pints from the fridge near the ordering counter. They were very friendly and happy to make sure we had a positive experience. Will definitely be returning! Customer service done right!“
