“Super impressed by our experience with wait staff, this place is absolutely adorable, and the food was very impressive. We loved the drink menu with so many options for N/A drinkers, too. Being able to pop next door and buy items we enjoyed at dinner to take home was a delight.“
“Extremely friendly atmosphere and staff. Our server, Jackson, has the best personality. Being our first visit, he explained the ingredients and recommended to try different sauces which were great. We asked to speak with his manager and Danny was just as kind. It’s nice to see a manager supporting his team with pride.“
“We had the cheese pizza and it was very good. The only thing I found disconcerting, and in particular post or mid Covid depending on how you look at it, was that the servers were picking up dirty dishes, handling the mouth area of the glasses, forks, napkins and then serving food. With the automatic 20% tip they charge I would think they could have a dedicated dirty dish person and serving person separately.“
“First time going here. Absolutely terrific service and food. Loved the atmosphere and was soooo tempted by the bakery case. Our group each ordered something different from each other and everyone was pleased. Cute gifts and clever t-shirts in the gift area.“
“Over 2 dozen well maintained pinball options with a hot dog menu (vegan options) and full bar with craft beer. Awesome service and friendly bartenders that kept smiling until bar close. The Godzilla machine is the LE with the collapsible building and is a must play; other popular machines included Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Deadpool. Games are only $.50! Sure wish this pub were closer.“
“By far one of my favorite breweries in the Twin Cities!! The staff is amazing. They have a great variety of food trucks. Comfortable taproom alongside a great patio (the patio gets covered with an event tent and heaters in the colder months). Great free bingo and trivia having great prizes. And of course the beer is amazing. I strongly suggest trying the Ben's Minnesota Martini olive beer.“
“If you've been looking for a reason to come back downtown, you have it! David Fhima , Eli Fhima and team have again knocked it out of the park. Phenomenal coffee and pastries. I can't wait to be down for wine soon too! SO great to have this in the Capella Tower!“
“I recently hosted a fundraiser in the new private party room and it was a huge success! The staff is so professional and helpful. They went out of their way to be accommodating to us. I’d highly recommend them to anyone planning a party or an event.“
“Casual and elbow-to-elbow seating replicates the feel of hanging out downtown or uptown, and the full-wall windows bring in excellent sunset light. The food options are excellent and the pretzel is good to split between three. A lot.of the sausage options clearly connect to my sense-memories from my experiences in Germany and taste authentic and delicious. The hometown takes on them (the Juicy Lucy Wurst is my favorite!) are also refreshing and filling.“
“The food here is awesome and unique. And great drink selection! The Lamb Gyro brat was absolutely amazing. They have so many different options and you can really create your own adventure with the toppings and dipping options. We went before the Wild game at the Xcel, so it was VERY busy. We were lucky to find a spot to sit. That, in my opinion, is the only "down side" to eating here. You have to squeeze in and share a table with strangers. With only two of us, that was no issue, but if you have a large group, it would be tricky.“
“Self-service taps is a cool idea, but that means no bartender and no familiar faces, the sort of thing you want in a neighborhood spot. That said, it was clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, and the food was good. They had a wall full of games, which would be pretty cool if you planned on hanging out for a while. The taps had a good variety, wine, seltzers and beers, but it would have been nice to have a little more varieties or maybe a couple more recognized brands. All in all, a nice spot and definitely worth a visit.Parking: Fair amount of free on-street parking.Kid-friendliness: Seems like a perfectly fine place for kids. The games and deep booth seats certainly help.“
“I stopped in here while in the middle of a rail-bus transfer. Right away I was greeted by staff. There was a group circled around the bar but no where else. TVs everywhere. I was told there was a special that day: tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich at a reasonable price so I decided to try that. A tall glass of water with lots of ice they kept refilled. I was offered more food at one point but I can't eat that much these days. I took a tour around and found they had two Skee-ball machines in back. They do have a change machine. The juke box was ultra-modern. I found a bucket of bingo stampers on one table. Overall, I found this to be a super nice place and would stop here again.“
“We stopped in for brunch. The hours, even on the weekend, for brunch are 8-11. You could definitely tell that the restaurant was very very new. Lots of questions from the staff to the manager on the menu (which only has 6 items), questions on what glassware to use, etc. The inside is super cute and bright on the corner of Lake and Excelsior. There are a few reserved restaurant spots in the garage. We started with bloody Mary's. There were two mix choices, dill and smoky jalapeño. We ordered one of each and they were served with garnishes of a lime and an olive. The dill definitely held that taste and I thought it was great. The smoky jalapeño I'm told tasted like normal mix. There was no baby beer served with it which is something I've come to expect with a bloody in Minnesota so was a little disappointing. We both got the steak burrito which was served with a side salad and a salsa. The dressing on the salad was great! The ingredients in the burrito were also very nice but not very evenly dispersed. I love burritos though and would order it again. We split a side of potatoes which weren't needed. They were good but the burrito was full of potatoes. A few training kinks to work out but a great location and food was both reasonable and delicious.“
“Visiting Minneapolis, and found this place close to our Airbnb. Their salty dog was amazing. Dark chocolate, caramel and salt. Not powerfully sweet- think slightly veering to a savory hot cocoa. I usually stick to a vanilla latte as any specialty drink is too sweet, but this was just right. The service was great, and the atmosphere is super peaceful and chill.“
“This place has a ton of potential as an authentic music venue in the twin cities. A lot of great artists will establish here. These venues are explicitly important to artists and musicians. I hope they can hold off big greedy corporate venues like the fillmore.“
“This place was slammed and short staffed. While we did have reservations, we were not immediately seated. HOWEVER from my own experience hosting at restaurants the fact that they sat us in less than fifteen minutes given the state of the place I couldn't be happier.Great selection of beers and thc drinks“
“The Bulldog has my favorite wings and burger - the "Fear the Reaper" wings and "Stilton" burger are my favorites in the Twin Cities. The Reaper wings are the perfect balance of heat & flavor and the Stilton burger is full of flavor and heavy on the garlic. Oh, and when you get the burger make sure to get the cajun fries - baller combo.“
“Best gluten free beer in the USA!I also work for Burning Brothers on their cooling needs and owners are top notch business owners, pay there bill on time and never cheat or complain on pricing. You guys are a gem in the rough. The newest product last few years Burning Brothers has produced is Kite Soda THC/CBD Carbonited Alcohol free drinks! Personally enjoy them as well as others I've gifted them too. There also great for making spiked Ice-cream Root Beer Floats...My crew and myself are honored to have been given the opportunity years ago to be your cooling solution, and hope your team feels the same way.Hoping you guys survive the virus issues all small business are facing.Keep up the good work guys and thank you on behalfof my team for the biz!“
“I love my neighborhood bar. The bartenders and staff make us feel like family. We love Kayla and Jake on evenings and even on nights when it's super busy, they remain professional, and always remember your drink preference. Great music, live bands and good pours.“
“Went at 1pm with a party if 7. Sat right away. Great food options. Delicious. Everything was marvelous. Only gave 4 stars for service as we were a little slow on refills and forgot an order if fries, but quickly remedied once he came back around. Nothing huge.“
“I have been here a handful of times. Some of the food has been really great, but the beef nachos are less than desirable. It was a quiet night but service was outstanding. Often when you go in local bars on quiet nights if your not a regular service is horrible. This is for sure a place I will continue to go.“
“Quick, easy, and affordable delivery. I like that you can customize any of the pizzas, even to the point of doing half and half of their specialty pies on a personal sized pizza. The pizzas are definitely on the heavier side but the flavor combos are good and delivery is timely. Reheats great in the oven!“
“Food was good, but menu didn't have a lot of variety, Good fit for the neighborhood - comfortable and friendly spot to hand out with friends and get a drink. Decor and furnishings are a little dated, but service is attentive. Ordered a NA wine, a milkshake, nachos, a burger, and the daily special. Wine frizzante was served chilled in a wine glass. The black cherry milkshake was sweet and creamy but was cherry syrup mixed in soft serve vs cherry ice cream. The chicken nachos were very good - nachos were crisp, chicken was tender and flavorful, pico and sour cream were cold. The daily special that day was pot roast special was a large portion of pot roast served with baby carrots, a biscuit, and mashed potatoes with a well of gravy. The beef was fork-tender and had a tasty rich flavor. The Ellsworth Lucy burger was well-cooked, well-seasoned, and flavored well. We had sweet potato tots on the side which came with a chipotle sauce. The tots had great texture - soft inside with crisp exterior, and the chipotle sauce was creamy with a nice kick.“
“Will return again.I'm truly sorry for not providing photos of this establishment for those needing to see what the place looks like. Maybe, next time I go I'll provide photos.Parking: Parked close enough to the restaurant and was also able to use handicapped sticker.Wheelchair accessibility: I felt like there were enough spots in the restaurant for any person with many wheelchair users they'll be able to move around.“
“Nice casual spot right next to the lake. The food was great and the staff was friendly. There was also live music at the park behind the place.Vegetarian options: Nothing is labeled as vegetarian, but I'd recommend the vegetable sandwich, it was great.“
“This place is amazing, the staff is so helpful! They don’t charge as much as others and They are always upgrading and redoing the felt on all the tables, getting new house cues, and the food is better and cheaper than mostly restaurants. Very friendly and relaxed. Whether you’re a professional or just beginning, if it’s your first date night, anniversary, birthday party this place will take care of you. Thank you so sue and jimmy!!!“
