“We came here with the promise of some great Coneys, and we were not disappointed. Yeah the place is a bit of a dive, but that definitely adds to the charm. The apps we had (fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks) were delicious, but those Coneys... OH MY GOD!!! Absolutely delicious! I had 2 but I could've easily downed 2 more. So good, and what was especially impressive that every one of the 5 total that we had looked exactly the same. The consistency of the cook is often overlooked at other places, but not here. Top notch! Also, our bartender Jade (sp?) was super friendly and always on top of anything we needed. Very funny too. A little bit of humorous commentary made for an even better experience.

As I said, the Coneys are to die for, but I would also recommend the Reuben egg roll. I got one after I was finished with the dogs, and it was absolutely amazing!

Gopher Bar is definitely the place to check out if you are a Coney Dog fan. And if you're not, there's plenty of other options to try that all looked incredible when I scanned the menu. Also, and this is yet another reason to choose The Gopher, the prices are very cheap. I wouldn't have expected to get full for under $20 anywhere these days, but they certainly did it! I'm actually getting hungry again just typing this! 😅

We had excellent food, drinks, service, and atmosphere at Groveland Tap! We tried lots of appetizers since it was happy hour (my favorite are the pierogies) and we thought everything we ordered was delicious.“

Our servers ( Mimi and Aiden) were not only good at their jobs, but very likeable and engaging with our group. We had family from Eau Claire, WI, Spring Valley, WI, Somerset, WI, Wyoming, MN, Inver Grove Heights, Woodbury and Cottage Grove, MN in our group. “A group of 11 on Friday evening at a lovely round table set a bit into a nook. The food and drinks were great, as was the service. It’s a visually lovely place. Unfortunately, the noise was so overwhelming, I left with a headache, and disappointed that I hadn’t been able to hear beyond each of the friends seated immediately next to me. I don’t routinely spend this much when I go out to eat, but am happy to when all the features align. Because of the noise, the Saint Paul Grill will not be a choice next time.“

There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“
