“Our family came to Howies after my daughter raved about this place. We brought my brother and his daughter with. We got to sit up top so our waitress had to carry our drinks and food to up to us. If you haven’t met waitress Jessica W yet you must! She was a rock star! She kept our drinks full and got our food to us in a timely manner. She was so friendly and we all loved her. The food was dynamite! We loved the appetizers and our main meal. We will for sure be back and will be asking for Jessica again!“

“Today my son was at the Culver’s in Onalaska, WI by the high school for lunch. He had no money and had called to try to get money sent to his phone so he could eat with his friends. I called the store to see if I could pay for his food over the phone. The lady who answered explained that she couldn’t take payment over the phone but she would pay for his meal. I said I would pay her back and she said don’t worry about it. She met him by the ice cream cooler and paid for his meal. She was so kind and didn’t even think twice. For someone who probably had a lot more to worry about - like the 60+ kids in her lobby waiting for food, she stopped and used her own money to help my son out. Incredible! I didn’t quite catch her name so will be going in on Friday to see if I can find her to thank her! Incredible person!“

“Great experience!! Food takes a bit long to get but tastes excellent, definitely worth the wait. Games are good and they all work! There is axe throwing, music, a bar and some gambling machines. The Staff was amazingly friendly and seriously looking for you to come and have a good time!“

“If you like Kwik Trip food this is it but better and for better value. There are also additional options that Kwik Trip doesn’t offer. The portion sizes are huge and the food is hot and fresh. Order from a menu at the Hearty Platter counter and then grab a coffee or a Buddy (free refills of both when dining in), and check out at the Kwik Trip register with your drink and Hearty Platter receipt. Sit down at a table and someone will bring you your food. No tips required but if you do tip they are donated to a charity.“

“Stayed here for work Sept , Oct and it is just great. The staff is very nice! There is a small pool and a hot-tub glass windows to see the river. Its nice place to sit when its cold. The Bar looks out on the river. Breakfast lunch and dinner with lounge and tv's in the booths. The patio outside is great they have a fire pit and allow smoking. Its a short walk to everything and a short drive to anything. Parking can be a problem in La Crosse its best to walk, ride bike etc. The rooms are nice the location is perfect.“

“Very clean, nice staff, good food, and when they make your food wrong even when you are very specific about what you want on it because you have allergies and will get violently sick if you have it. They were apologetic and got me the right food very quickly. It was also then 1 of our best experiences with the food after that.“

“Exquisite! The apple and cheese salad was uniform cut and the flavor perfectly balance. Pure joy in every bite!
The pappardelle noodles perfectly cooked and each one was evenly coated with the sauce. Amazing!!
The pistachio crème brûlée on point and heavenly. Overall nothing was over salted or overly sweet. Flavors pair well.
My server knew the menu very well and explain each dish with poise and patience. She wiped the table in between coarses with a crumb tray and clean white cloth then set me up for the next dish with proper placement. I also observed the staff being courteous and professional with each other.

Always the first place we stop when we come to Onalaska. I was fortunate to have a family who had a surprise birthday party for me at Red Pines. Best Birthday party!!! “We love Diggers. Best in La Crosse. But a recent trip let us down. The classic bread crack to locals was gone. Fayzes provided it and they closed. Today People’s Food Coop brought Fayzes bakery back. Hoping the wonderful bread is restored!“

“We went there last night for dinner. Natelie was out waitress, and outstanding doesn't even come close to her service. She went above and beyond, she made the whole experience wonderful. “Very relaxing, everyone so friendly and food was fabulous! We stayed at The Radisson to see the Rotary Lights. After, we went back, freshened up and went downstairs for dinner, very convenient. We asked to be by the windows with a view the lights while we ate but no seats were available and our table was set at a different location, waiting for us to finish our drinks. The gentleman that seated us, moved our table to a window seat that had just opened up without even asking before we went in. We were very impressed that he did this and it made our meal that much more enjoyable. The food was fantastic and would highly recommend. This is our 4th year going there for the lights and we would do it any other way! Enjoy!!!“

Forgot to pay my $15.47 bill the other night and walked out. Came in the next day and was told of my mistake by their manager Kevin and told I was kicked out for life. I didn’t get into a fight, get into an argument, I forgot to pay my bill. That being said everyone there knows I will come in the next day or tomorrow and would make good of it. Please stay away from this place. Cannot believe a fine man Dave Skogen(Festival Foods) is associated with this place?“

Our waitress was an absolute grump to every table around us and us as well. Very rude and angry. They also served rotten iced tea, I let them know and heard someone in the back declare it was disgusting and to dump it out. Yikes! Hopefully it was just a bad day and not a new trend. Fry bread tacos are amazing on Tuesdays (big as you head), fried chicken on Wednesdays is the best in the entire coulee region, and the beer battered fish and shrimp on Fridays is awesome. I just had cheeseburger and fries. All the burgers are a half pound. My girlfriend had the ultimate BLT. 12 strips of bacon on that thing. Wow We highly recommend going to Angry's.“

Tonight there was difficulties in the kitchen which led to an unexpected long wait- our waitress & the manager handled the situation so gracefully.
