“We walked into Leann Chin 11 minutes before closing… basically the restaurant equivalent of showing up to a party when they’re already putting the chairs away. 😅

Instead of giving us the “please leave” look we probably deserved, Jalma and Joseph were absolutely amazing. They were patient, kind, and somehow managed to navigate the impossible task of feeding my picky children without losing their sanity.

They went above and beyond, never rushed us, and treated us like we were their first customers of the day instead of their last. My kids left happy, full, and convinced they’re food magicians.

Huge shoutout to Jalma and Joseph for the incredible customer service. Give these two a raise (or at least an extra scoop of orange chicken)!“

“I had purchased a takeout of 2 dishes (lunch specials) yesterday.. Kungpao Chicken and Schezuan Beef... THese came with a good quantity of fried rice and 2 wontons per dish.. All for only $11.50 each.
After driving home, I realized that they had given me the wrong protein in one dish (both were chicken) and hence I decided to call them about iit... The lady was super sweet and told me that she would give me another serving of Schezuan Beef and that I could keep the Chicken one... Since I didn't want to drive all the way back, I asked her if I could pick it up when I make another trip near that area (which she promptly agreed to)... I just collected the Schezuan Beef this afternoon (as I was in the area) and she was evem thoughtful enough to make my order SUPER SPICY as I had requested yesterday... Thoroughly impressed with the customer service !“

“We used a gift card to buy our meals. I had the Plate and my son had The Bigger Plate. I had the fried rice, SweetFire chicken breast and Kung pao chicken. Very good flavor and plenty of heat 🥵 😋 My son had the fried rice 🍚, Beijing beef, SweetFire chicken breast and Kung pao chicken. He said his meal was really good too. Also had 3 orders of cream cheese wontons 😋 The customer service was fast and friendly. The seating area was clean with plenty of seating. Plenty of food choices as well as beverages. “We ordered off the lunch menu. The portions were very generous and the food was fresh and delicious. Sesame chicken was excellent and Moo Goo Gai Pan vegetables were fresh and perfect! Bathrooms were clean and provided hot water and soap (which is always a plus). We will definitely visit again.“

“This place has still got it. Very hole-in-the-wall vibes, but the pho is the best I've found in Minneapolis and the burbs. Bun with pork and spring rolls (#46) is also very good, and don't sleep on the VN Wings! They are not an appetizer as much as they are a hearty side. The flavor is intensely good, so if you have a sensitive pallete, they may be too much for you.

The owner is kind and helpful, and the rest of the family is pretty great, too.

The Vietnamese side of the menu is really where they shine, so pass on your orange chicken and get some pho or something.“

“This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!“

“Mandarin has quickly become one of my favorite spots for great Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. Their pho broth is perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. The bun vermicelli noodle salad with pork meatballs and egg roll is refreshing and so tasty. A couple other excellent choices have been the Szechuan pork and the beef chow fun. Definitely give the pork egg rolls a try. The employees there are hard working, the perfect amount of attentive and very friendly. It’s definitely a hidden hole in the wall gem with excellent food and very friendly staff.“

“For the one in Plymouth Minnesota, FINALLY some sweet tea. If you live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you know, findind a place that sells sweet tea is hard. As if there was a sugar shortage in the area. Anyway!
The service was great. They do have regular unsweetened tea here, but when i told them what i was looking for, they pointed out their signature SWEET tea. Foood & all is Food & will be going back.“

“Was shopping in ridgedale and wasn’t able to find something I wanted to eat.. then the smell of orange chicken hit my nose.. looked over and saw Leann Chin calling my name. Must of been fate, as I walked up to look at the food choice the lady working up front came from the back with a fresh pan of orange chicken.. seeing that sealed the deal!! I ordered the orange chicken with noodles and fried rice, got a soda as well. The prices are decent but the food was great! Fresh tasting and quick. Having this made the rest of my day go well.
