“Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well. Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.“

“I walked over to The King’s House for lunch while getting my motorcycle tuned up at Davis Motorsports just down the street. I got one of their specials, the taco salad with chicken. It was among the best taco salads I’ve had. I especially enjoyed the burst of flavor from the fresh cherry tomatoes generously embedded in the salad. The shell is clearly home made, as is the unique sauce. The seasoning and herbs on the chicken were also perfect. Everything was very fresh. The presentation was excellent. Their ice tea is clearly brewed fresh too. I went ahead and had a mojito for desert and found it well crafted and refreshing on a July afternoon.

My server was professional and personable.

The place wasn’t very busy at lunch time. But I got the impression their busy time is evenings. Tables are nicely spaced. They have outdoor dining. Ample free parking in their dedicated lot. I enjoyed their playlist as I ate - a diverse mix of mostly alternative soft rock. I was pleased that they didn’t have any distracting TVs in the restaurant.

Everything is accessible to wheelchairs.

Kid-friendliness: Wooden tables and chairs, concrete floor - nothing fancy about the space - but everything is clean and comfortable. It would be an welcoming place to bring the whole family.

“Honestly our experience couldn't have been better. We arrived early and were offered complimentary Prosecco while we waited. A small thing, but a nice touch. Old fashioned was a 10. Food was inventive, aesthetic and cooked to perfection. Server was attentive and informed. Really nice job to all involved!“

“I moved in earlier than I planned because there wa no reason not too. I am very happy at The Waters and so glad I made the move. The "cottages" are wonderful even though there is downsizing to get done. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. The food is great - besides the 'every day menu," there are specials for lunch and dinner. The menu is quite varied with chicken, beef/veal, pork, turkey and vegetarian.“

“Great place to meet and hang out with friends. Casual atmosphere. Patio seating is a favorite. They really do have excellent burgers. They do have a great selection of beer however, it would be excellent if they had hard cider on tap. You do have the option of buying a bottle of your favorite wine at the attached liquor store and enjoying it for a corking fee. The staff is long-standing and ever friendly. Haskell's will always remain a favorite.

From the initial meeting a few weeks earlier to the final guest walking out, it was a wonderful evening. Great food, craft cocktails and dedicated servers who were outstanding. “A quick go to place for a fast and affordable dinner meal. I visited this location several times and I always find it to be clean, consistent, and fast. The dining area is definitely an upgrade when compared with McDonald's, Burger King, or even Wendy's. I've never had a service issue here where there was a problem with my order.“

“We all ended up ordering the walleye, which was excellent. It's been a favorite of ours there for years. We added the house salad, which was also very good. We each had a cocktail before and a glass of wine with dinner. Everyone said theirs were delicious. Our waiter was friendly, professional and very attentive. “We had a brunch for 16 people at 11am. While they weren't able to hold seating/make reservations; they were able to make it a very short waiting time. Page and the serving crew were amazing! We had no waiting time on ordering and our server was professional and speedy. They kept the drinks coming and we had someone in our party with a lot of special food needs and they were wonderful! First place we've been to where my husband could eat an entire meal to his fill. The food was delicious! No one in the entire party had a single complaint! Wonderful blueberry rice sausages, eggs, pancakes, taco salad, hot tea, coffee, French toast, hashbrowns, English muffins, toast, and more! The decor is adorable! We're so lucky to have found this little cafe as we're from all around the US here for a wedding. It seems to be a local favorite as it was packed! Younger generations and older and everywhere in between! THE go to place if you live in the area or if you're just visiting! You won't be disappointed! A little spendy, but there are lower-priced items, and for authentic Italian food, you can't beat it. The service was fabulous - our server was very attentive and very helpful with the menu. When we had questions about the wine, the bartender brought over the wines we were considering and explained each one thoroughly. After our dinner, we went out to the patio to sit by the fire and finish our wine. It was the perfect end to a wonderful meal! The food was sooo good. I had the Parmesan Chicken Melt sandwich 🥪 with coleslaw.. our server was friendly and efficient.. the interior is black and the lighting was decent.. the noise was a little too loud for me.. my overall experience was positive so I will go dine there again..

“I can’t say enough positive things about the catering at the Maple Grove location. I had ordered sloppy joes for my Labor Day weekend camping trip. When I went to cook the meat, I discovered that they had given me taco meat instead. Which was, of course, disappointing. I called them the next day to let them know, and they couldn’t have been more apologetic and accommodating. No excuses were made. They just asked how they can make it right. I told the catering manager that all I really wanted were the sloppy joes and he insisted that he provide a side of my choice;anything I wanted. They made it all available for me the very next day and added mac and cheese to my order. When I arrived, the manager greeted me and asked me if there was anything else I might need. Customer service!! That is so rare these days and goes a long way!! I will continue to go to Hy-Vee because of the way I was treated! And all of the food was delicious!! Highly recommend!“

“We had a great meal last night at the Lake Room. The bar area was packed, but the dining room was less so (nice for noise). We shared appetizers (deviled eggs and chicken skewers) which were both excellent. Entrees were also very good - bone-in pork chop and shrimp and grits. Wednesdays are 1/2 off bottles of wine night, so we enjoyed an excellent red. Service was great. We love this place!“
