“We had a brunch for 16 people at 11am. While they weren't able to hold seating/make reservations; they were able to make it a very short waiting time. Page and the serving crew were amazing! We had no waiting time on ordering and our server was professional and speedy. They kept the drinks coming and we had someone in our party with a lot of special food needs and they were wonderful! First place we've been to where my husband could eat an entire meal to his fill. The food was delicious! No one in the entire party had a single complaint! Wonderful blueberry rice sausages, eggs, pancakes, taco salad, hot tea, coffee, French toast, hashbrowns, English muffins, toast, and more! The decor is adorable! We're so lucky to have found this little cafe as we're from all around the US here for a wedding. It seems to be a local favorite as it was packed! Younger generations and older and everywhere in between! THE go to place if you live in the area or if you're just visiting! You won't be disappointed! “Well, let's see. I thought it was going to be like a sit-down, relax restaurant. Take your time. Might take a little while for your food to come out. Our server, Ashley, was nice. Quick to come take our order, quick to offer a refill when the beverage ran out. Our meals came out so quickly, though. It felt like not even 20 minutes went by after we placed the order and BAM meals arrive. They must've read my order incorrectly. I said no bleu cheese and it came out with bleu cheese. They brought it back and then like 20 minutes later, brought me a new plate. It looked like they just scraped the side dishes from the original plate to the new plate. They were cold where the extra butter I ordered didn't even melt. The waffle fries on my wife's plate, in my opinion, were cold or old. Wife said they were fine. Service was great! Ashley provided a little discount since they messed up my order. Food on the other hand, felt more like a quick service restaurant versus a sit-down, relax restaurant. No offers for dessert. I didn't even see a dessert menu or on the main menu. This really wasn't the best experience, but not the worst experience. I only recommend Clive's because Ashley was so quick and friendly. For the rest, no I would NOT recommend Clive's.“

“Situated beautifully along the lake with fantastic sunset views, COV Wayzata offers a wonderful ambiance that is especially enjoyable when the temperature permits outdoor seating. The service was exceptional throughout our visit, beginning with the highly accommodating staff who graciously allowed us to place our first round of happy hour drink and appetizer orders just minutes before the window closed. The tap beer selection is superb, and we started with the truffle fries, which were paired perfectly with a delicious truffle aioli.

One of the main courses we ordered was the steak frites accompanied by green asparagus and béarnaise sauce. While the flavor of the steak was excellent, the cut itself lacked a bit of tenderness. Additionally, while the restaurant boasts a strong wine list, the pricing reflects a remarkably steep markup; a bottle that typically retails for around $40 was priced at $155, which feels a bit excessive (normal for me as a Swede in Sweden, but not in the US…) Despite the steep wine prices, we ended the evening on a high note with a genuinely phenomenal Key Lime Pie. Overall, COV provides a highly memorable lakeside dining experience bolstered by top-tier service.“

“I took my nephew and his roommate to the Thanksgiving buffett today. The holiday decorations were very festive and pretty. The food was delicious, the drinks were reasonably priced, and I enjoyed the experience. The 21 year olds were full and happy when we left. I would go back for a similar offering in the future.“

“Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well. Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.“

“I can’t say enough positive things about the catering at the Maple Grove location. I had ordered sloppy joes for my Labor Day weekend camping trip. When I went to cook the meat, I discovered that they had given me taco meat instead. Which was, of course, disappointing. I called them the next day to let them know, and they couldn’t have been more apologetic and accommodating. No excuses were made. They just asked how they can make it right. I told the catering manager that all I really wanted were the sloppy joes and he insisted that he provide a side of my choice;anything I wanted. They made it all available for me the very next day and added mac and cheese to my order. When I arrived, the manager greeted me and asked me if there was anything else I might need. Customer service!! That is so rare these days and goes a long way!! I will continue to go to Hy-Vee because of the way I was treated! And all of the food was delicious!! Highly recommend!“
