“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“I’ve been to this location a handful of times over the years and it has always been great. Today I tried their “all day all night” latte and it was the perfect sweet to coffee ratio.
I haven’t sat inside for an extended period of time, but I can’t imagine the setup of this location works well if you need to focus. It can get pretty loud.“

(although the music was a little bit loud for conversation). I shared the cauliflower tacos and hummus plate and we each had a glass of wine and took the yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy cheesecake home (the cheesecake seemed expensive at the time; but I will purchase it again and again. Every taste was Yum Yum Yum Yum.). a lot of times when I go out to eat I think; I could’ve saved money and just ate at home. However, I truly felt my money was well spent! The food was fresh. Very tasty. The arugula salad was phenomenal, even though it was very simple. I need to come back here way more often. Thank you very much for your dedication to healthy, tasty, vegan food. Also, their dedication to quality continues year after year. I think that’s wonderful.“

“Loved Hey Bear. They had a really great egg biscuit sandwhich. I'd usually get the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was all so well priced, filling, and tasted great.

They announced a temporary closure starting July 3rd while they reworked the menu and potentially renovated. But I stopped by just last week and the sign explaining the closure had been removed. The large sign and tarp covering the windows had also been removed. In its place was an open sign and a completely unrelated restraunt with no branding.

Hey Bear has been radio silent since they announced the closing and it seems like they are gone for good. Extremely unfortunate. The area really benefited from a good to-go breakfast spot. My commute to work is now lacking a good breakfast option. Very sad to see them go so silently. What seemed like a break turned into a sudden closure.“

“I recently bought an espresso machine and a nice grinder and wanted to find a local-ish roaster to buy beans from regularly. We tried two others and weren't blown away but then I did some research and found Roots Roasting. We bought their Classic Espresso beans online and it took me maybe 2 or 3 shots to dial in and when I did—wow! We liked them so much that today we drove from Somerset, WI just to buy a fresh bag and to try their coffee in the shop. I went with a spiced mocha and my wife got "something fun" and they are both absolutely delicious! We will be back and we will continue to order beans online if we can't make the drive. Really welcoming environment and the neighborhood is nice too. Great job Roots Roasting!“

She answered all my questions and made some suggestion. We ordered the Banh Mi Special and the Lemongrass Chicken, both were delicious, but our favorite was the lemongrass chicken.
