“just we had a bad experience yesterday. my husband ordered the el pastor with corn tortillas the waitress comes back with our food and said they ran out of tortillas and they had to make some, and does he still want them of course he does after about 5 mins we stopped her and she says the cooks don't want to listen to her. so about 8 mins later she comes back with 3 tore up looking tortillas. we go to pay the bill mind you I left a 6 dollar tip even tho she took ten mins to greet us and ask if we needed drinks. my bill was 51.52 I gave her a60.00 she asked if I needed change. I said yes she then pulls a paper and try to subtract 51.52 from 60.00 she gave me 4 dollars back I was already home when I counted the change she gave me back“

He told us they have a variety of original house salsas with different degrees of heat to choose from, we tried 2 and they were both very tasty. Everything had a true Mexican flavor! Very clean, it was full of Mexican and Latinamerican customers on a Sunday afternoon. It is a small restaurant inside a supermaket with a great team and genuine Mexican food. They have special discounts every weekday. I can’t wait to come back!“

“Love this place! I always have a shredded beef dish of some sort. I know it's homemade as a couple of times I have found a bay leaf inside my burrito or taco. Good thing I always add a bit of salsa to my stuff and check. I love sitting at the bar and trying the 3 different salsas that are available as a help yourself buffet style along with delicious chips. Love the margaritas but now I am spoiled, I tried one with Milagro silver tequila on the rocks. It is excellent! The Columbia Heights locale is my favorite, and I have tried each of the others! I have yet to try the patio in the summertime, so I can't tell you about it. The stained glass windows are amazing! Busy bustling place! I love it! And the staff is excellent! If I want to change an option on the menu, the staff is very accommodating. I would give this place 5 stars! I always take family and friends to La Casita Mexican Restaurant - Columbia Heights, MN when they come to visit!“

“So my friend told me about this little unassuming taco joint, and I decided to try it. Omg, the food is on point! Tastes like homemade. The ladies were very sweet and enjoyable. I was nervous at first because it's tiny and dated, but the food is amazing, and the sauce they give you on the side is so good. Two tacos, a tamale and a drink, only cost me $12! You don't find these prices anymore. I'll be back and I'm bringing friends!“

We had not been to Salsa à la Salsa since they were on Nicollet Avenue and now I regret that we have been away for so long. I had the Pollo en Mole Poblano, H had the Pollo con Napolitos and J had the Tacos de Cameron. I’m a real fan of mole, but I don’t always love every mole I have. This was one of, if not the, best moles I have ever eaten. It was absolutely sublime. I used my tortillas to sop every last drop of the exquisite sauce! The black bean tamal that came with my meal was as light as a feather and just melted in your mouth. H’s chicken dish was flavorful and very tender, and the frijoles negro were expertly prepared. J tried both and said they were both delicious, but she really loved her shrimp tacos. The corn tortillas must have been freshly made – light, soft, perfect. H had the pineapple tamal for dessert and J and I had the orange flan. It was honestly the best Mexican food we’ve had in a very long time, and the best meal of recent memory. I honestly could have eaten that mole all night long. We won’t be waiting nearly as long for a return visit. 10/10!“

If you’re sick of places making food smaller and blander, this place is where you should go. Best food, best service 5 stars“

“Food was excellent ! Prices were a little high but feel it’s 100000% justified considering every single thing is hand made. All the sauces, salsas, tortillas, etc. Had carnitas gorditas that were so light and airy, and red enchiladas with proper homemade sauce. Will definitely be back.

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. But it’s actually an adorable set up inside the BP and not weird at all :) I give this place 5/5 stars! 🌯🌮💕“
