“It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!“

We usually stop by weekly at other stores nearer to our home, but we happened to be in Plymouth today and enjoyed the cordial staff, fun music and vibes in the store, and the delicious protein bowls we had. The girls were sweet and put our other to-go yacht bowls in the fridge while we ate in the store so they would not melt. A great experience - thank you!“

“Second time here and I love this restaurant!! Atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing, on a slow flow it's a phenomenal experience to eat at. Very dim lighted if that matters to any. Like almost hard to see menu kind of dim but the candle lighting is so personal and inviting in my opinion! Outside sitting is very clean and spacious for their side of the sidewalk, in front of store is less but better for 2 people/wheel chair accessibility.

The food is so high of quality and flavors!! I loved the carrots, steak and oysters!! Best of the East and West side of the ocean and the best slices of steak able to feed 2 adults if looking at a minimum full-like feeling type of starters. It is on the pricier side of dining but such a treat to even be there and experience their foods and services. Will make it a habit to at least eat here once a month or 2!

The parking situation is not too tight on a steady flow day. In front of restaurant, is closer paid-to-park-parking but its best to find parking a block or two a ways for more convenience of paying to park.

Service of the staff are amazing as well!! They have always been attentive and understanding of how our experience is going. Especially when it comes to accommodations and adjustments! Very sweet and patient people, so I can assure quality services!

The only complaint could be the parking and possibly area but again, the restaurant is what you go for and the delicious food!“

“Wow! This place is offering something truly unique. I eat all over the country and I've had thousands of smoothies in my time and I have to say the flavors here are really something special. Eating here you can feel the love and energy that went into a business model that wouldn't sacrifice health for profit. This truly is worth every penny I paid. Real food, real health. Every bite taste fresh and exactly what my body needed to get through a long day of work. The small sized bowl was more than enough for me personally“

Heather’s pies were delicious and her customer service was exceptional! She even gave us one of the pies for free as a congratulations gift to our family! This is a great place for a date, a girls' brunch, or even a corporate meeting. My mom use to order the duck sandwich, which unfortunately is not on the menu anymore. She tried the Kimchi bowl instead and enjoyed it. My favorite is the chicken Mediterranean wrap—the chicken is such great quality, and they're really generous with the portion size! I also recommend the ratatouille, chicken wings, chicken apple sandwich, fresh espresso martini, and hummus platter.“

“North Star Tavern absolutely crushed it for our group! We had our reservation double at the very last minute and they not only accommodated us, but were able to get us in earlier too. The host who helped coordinate everything was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I really wish I had gotten his name because he made the whole experience so easy. And Riley, our server, despite being a Packer fan 😉, was fantastic. She handled our large group like a pro and gave us excellent service the entire time with a smile on her face.
