New American Restaurants near Mound, MN

“Al & Alma's Supper Club is one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice, laid back Lake Front Restaurant on Lake Minnetonka. It's not right on the water but has very nice lake views. They do have Cruises on Lake Minnetonka on 50+ foot Boats that are also very nice. My favorite food at Al & Alma's is their Liver and Onions priced $14.85 with a salad and a couple of sides (baked potato, green beans, Etc, Etc. All of their food is very good.I highly recommend Al & Alma's Supper Club....we go there at least once a month.ps.--- my wife says my comments read like an Advertisement for Al & Alma's. I have NO interest in Al & Alma's....I just enjoy the Restaurant.“

“I will be back! I had the Fries Chicken Parmesan and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was better than I've had at fancy expensive Italian restaurants. The chicken was crispy and perfect on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Definitely recommend. My boyfriend had the Zen burger & fries. He said the burger was delicious as well. Next time I come back I'll order that! All wait staff were friendly, helped each other out and smiling all evening. Bravo! ????.“

“We've eaten here twice and had surprisingly good meals. I say surprising because it's such an unassuming location in a smaller town, but the quality is top notch. Their steaks are sooo tender and the lobster roll is the best we've had in the state.Even their burgers have a little something extra and they're cooked to your specifications (everywhere else my medium is burnt to a crisp).Great option, please don't skip this one.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and the atmosphere is kid friendly, though it's not large enough for kids to get up and run around or anything.“

“Edie Mae’s is a great option for the family! They have a lot of variety between their breakfast, American and Chinese food menu. My favorite is breakfast - I have never had a better omelet and their stuffed hash browns are a must try.“

We brought our friends from Canada who LOVE Italian food, in fact she took a cooking class in Italy and they LOVED it!!! I feel lucky to have this little restaurant so close to home!“

“Went to the coalition for Mother’s Day late Saturday afternoon. This place has a cool vibe. The food is good and the drinks are phenomenal but like all places I wanted to give this a 5 Star rating but I would say more like a 4. They were short on servers. They had one bartender making Tons of drinks By herself, she did a phenomenal job and with a full bar besides not one stool empty in front of her. Our server was good. She was a little overwhelmed. She was working outside tables and inside, but overall we will be back, it’s to bad that all these places are hurting for servers.“

“We stopped there for dinner and sat outside on the patio because it was a nice day. We had the Johnny Cake for an appetizer. Then we had the Chilean Sea Bass and the Cedar Plank Salmon. For dessert we had the Rhubarb pie with homemade ice cream. Everything was just amazing! High quality food that was cooked perfect. The texture and flavors were outstanding! We will definitely be back again.“

“We are moving to the Mound Harbor District in August and have been so happy to discover the Lake Room so close by! The food is top notch! This time I ordered the Sea-bass Skewers which were wonderful. My companion enjoyed the Jumbo Scallops. We sat on the patio which was properly shady. It was a beautiful evening and a fine way to end a successful Mothers Fay celebration.“

“Our waitress was Tiffany and she was amazing! She was very down to earth and included my 2 year old in the conversation instead of acting like she didn't exist like most waitresses do. They were out of crayons so she offered my daughter one of her pens. We sat outside. It was beautiful outside and even though there wasn't a ton of people out there. We were checked on frequently. Food was good, got fish and chips and the pan fried walleye. Portions were comparable to the price IMO.Kid-friendliness: Waitress was so nice, my shy 2 year old hugged her on our way out!“

“Amazing food and service!! Jake is an amazing server. So hard to find such great service. Scott is amazing also. Today the food was overcooked though. Crust on stuffed chicken was black and meatloaf was black as well. I've been there many times and have not had this issue before.“
