“Walking around the city, we found this gem! Great vibe Scottish pub with a full menu that made it hard to choose what to have for lunch. Server was working the tables and the patio out back but was killing it! Coleslaw was honestly incredible and the chips were addicting. It didn’t seem like you could go wrong with the menu, but the Mack Burger is highly recommended, by me.“

“We went here last minute. We were there around 7am and there was one gal working and she rocked it! She waited on the entire place, didn't skip a beat and even stopped and talked with everyone. “We had no plans on going here but I'm sure glad we did! We were walking around looking to grab a quick dinner before a concert and stumbled upon The Freehouse. I noticed first that the outside ambiance was quite dreamy. It was a gorgeous night so we sat outside. Our waitress was kind and quirky, loved her! I got the half rotisserie chicken (accidently gave me a whole chicken, but allowed me to pay for just the half I actually ordered) with mashed potatoes, corn, and slaw. First off I was very worried with the size of the chicken and if it would be done enough but it was cooked to perfection. Juicy, moist, flavorful and SEASONED! Delicious!! It also came with a sauce that was olive green in color. Initially I was worrird but surprisingly it tasted like a yummy warm good Ole gravy! I could drink it! The potatoes were also a hit, soooo good and buttery. The slaw and the corn weren't amazing but not bad either. My company got the chicken lime salad. Said it was GOOD but may not get it again. Overall the experience was 10/10. I haven't stopped thinking about the chicken, potatoes and gravy since! Can't wait to go again!“

“I can’t say enough positive things about the catering at the Maple Grove location. I had ordered sloppy joes for my Labor Day weekend camping trip. When I went to cook the meat, I discovered that they had given me taco meat instead. Which was, of course, disappointing. I called them the next day to let them know, and they couldn’t have been more apologetic and accommodating. No excuses were made. They just asked how they can make it right. I told the catering manager that all I really wanted were the sloppy joes and he insisted that he provide a side of my choice;anything I wanted. They made it all available for me the very next day and added mac and cheese to my order. When I arrived, the manager greeted me and asked me if there was anything else I might need. Customer service!! That is so rare these days and goes a long way!! I will continue to go to Hy-Vee because of the way I was treated! And all of the food was delicious!! Highly recommend!“

“You haven't done Northeast Minneapolis if you've never been to Slacks!! Good food, good drinks, good people watching. The original roast beef sandwich is no joke! Epically large portion that is delicious and guaranteed to put you in a meat coma while you're still chewing! I love love love the tots. You don't "need" them but the crunch is a great accompaniment to any meal.
