“Stopped in for supper on the way home, and were pleasantly surprised after hearing some less-than-stellar word of mouth reviews. The atmosphere was nice, with lots of exposed natural-look wood and a homey feel to the bar (kind of a cabin-y look, which I personally enjoy.). The staff were friendly and attentive, and we got our food quickly. Someone at the next table tried the burger challenge, which looked pretty impressive all stacked up (they did not finish, unsurprisingly.)We got a couple of burgers - one mushroom & swiss and one bacon burger. Food was cooked perfectly and very tasty; definitely one of the better burgers I have had in this area. My partner had the cheese curds and they were cooked just right - definitely some of the best we've tried. Portion sizes were very fair for the price. We didn't have any drinks, but the tap selection looked very thorough.I understand Bites is under new management since our visit, and I hope they continue to be successful. We will definitely remember this place on our future travels.“

“A-Pine is great, hearty, family food fare that will stick to your ribs and hit that comfort food spot we all have. Service is great and the atmosphere is that quirky north woods thing that us locals don’t notice and the tourists come to see. “Paul Bunyan’s Favorite Restaurant” is in a neat A-Frame building with a no-fuss, cozy interior. Be sure to come before 11 (11:30 on weekends) for their phenomenal breakfast. Now serving mimosas and bloody marys/bloody beers!Parking: Plenty of parking spots in the lot, and lots of other areas to park if the lot is full. Please don’t park in neighbors’ drivewaysKid-friendliness: Cozy family restaurant with lots of big tables.
