“It has become our Friday night go-to place. Great service, Super nice staff, and AMAZINGLY tasty food. I’m working my way down the menu and haven’t tried everything, but everything I’ve tried has been great!“

“My husband and 2 year old granddaughter dined in tonight at this location. A group of 5 teenagers were causing a disruption in the dining area. Bouncing a basketball and throwing trash on the floor, left trash on 3 tables then they moved to a different table. An employee asked them to please pick up their trash and they got mouthy with her and started swearing and refused to pick up the trash. 2 men at separate times went up to them and told them to knock it off or leave. An EMPLOYEE of Culvers named NOAH who was working also got mouthy with one of the customers and was laughing and siding with the disruptive teenagers. (one said he was 14). i sure hope i never see that employee NOAH at this location again or i will not be at that restaurant again.“

“My husband and I are visiting from out of town and stopped in for dinner. We sat at the bar and ordered tater tots and a taco pizza. The pizza was AMAZING!! So filling and exactly what you want from a taco pizza. The service was attentive and friendly. The place feels like your home town bar/restaurant and is cozy.“

“really great food with an aesthetic atmosphere. the only issue I had was the waitress took a little long to swing by the table, but to be fair we had a very large amount of people. I would recommend the chicken and wild rice soup bowl and both the types of fries! for desert any ice cream is delicious as well.“

“If you love old world supper clubs. The "Lex" is for you. Sadly I can not give it 4 stars until they up their game and get an espresso machine. Imagine a beautiful brass Espresso machine sitting behind the bar! Anyone who remembers the old Williams Cafe in Uptown knows what I am talking about. I can't think of another restaurant in their price range that does NOT offer Espresso in the Mpls-St. Paul area.“

“Everything about this place was great! Knew the bartender so that was a benefit. The food was really good and the portions where large, larger them most places you get your money's worth. Only complaint would be it very dim lit! The atmosphere is nice just got the lights down a bit to much it was hard to see any distance when looking around. Just up a couple of notches but great overall!“

“We ended up having 3+ extra hours to kill when we had to change our connecting flight due to mechanical issues on the plane. Stopped in here and was AMAZED to see they offer 34+ beers and a menu with a large variety of dishes. (( The walleye sandwich and wild rice soup were 10/10 👌🏻)). Mara is THE BEST WAITRESS in the Twin Cities and makes for such a great time. Can’t wait to come back to MNPLS again and make this a staple.“

“Overall on a scale of 1-10. I'd give daves hot chicken a SOLID 6/10.
Sliders are the best in my opinion.
Chicken tenders/sliders are Large and filling.
Mild: NO heat
Medium: NO heat
Hot: mild heat
Extra hot: Medium heat.
Carolina reaper: Hot.

My only complaint would be prices.
38$ for 2 Sliders, 3 tenders, 2 fries, 1 bottled coke.“

“I just came here to say these were the best bang bang skrimp wraps I've ever had. crunch, on point! sauce, on point! even the slaw which I'm usually not a huge fan of by itself, on point! perfect portion, cherry coke on tap was great too! My friend had the nachos and they were huge, although they were served in a large bowl, I would find it easier for cheese distribution if served on a platter of some sort but that's about it, still recommending!“

“Went there today for the first time. Great food, chef kissed delicious! Great service, friendly atmosphere. Wish my youngests food came out at the same time as the other 4 of us (his came out 10 minutes later and he’s 2) but portions were so big we had enough of our food to share as he didn’t eat his when it finally came. I was in the biz for 32 years, 10+ as a manager and I would hire this gal without a doubt. She is a great asset to your team!“

“Excellent Service, our waitress was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed our food And drinks. They have as n extensive beer, wine & spirits menu. Also a good variety of entrees and sides on the menu. Mid-dining we had a surprise visit by the Executive Chef to check on us. He was gregarious and very interested in our dining experience. We sat for a while in the bar, which is very stylish and an excellent spot for more informal dining—the too have food.“

“First time here, breakfast buffet was ok. Probably do an omelette tomorrow, someone else had one and it looked delightful.Hit the bar at around 7 pm, excellent service. Day after Christmas you never know what you’re going to get! There were a few people in/at the at and a large group; bartender was very attentive. Ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread and was blown away. Sucker was loaded, tons of chicken and so much flavor! I’ve been disappointed so many times with the heat level of buffalo chicken… this was soooo good! Highly recommend. I will stay here again without doubt.“

“Yesterday my family celebrated my retirement with a family lunch at my favorite restaurant - Red Robin in Apple Valley. Most of the group had never been to a Red Robin but they are now big fans just like me. The food was exceptional, Heather (our server) was fantastic, and even though we were the only ones who knew it was a special occasion, we were treated to the highest level of customer service! I was there for 25 years and as a top seller I can say it was the best 25 of my life. Yes, it’s a commissioned store but, they really DO see the customer. “Just finished dinner at the Better Half to try out the new after dark menu - 100/10 recommend! We had the ahi tuna stack, miso sea bass, and the lobster pasta (can’t remember the name) and everything was INCREDIBLE. We wanted to order pretty much everything, it was so hard to decide! I would officially consider this one of the best menus south of the River - can’t wait to come back and do another round of taste testing until we make our way through the whole menu! Shout out to Michael our server - he always goes above and beyond (I somehow always end up in his section 😂 and he is fantastic!)“

“Celebrated 2 Birthday’s and the food was fabulous. Started with a Blooming Onion which was very good. Shrimp skewers on seasoned rice was excellent along with fresh green broccoli and a salad which I took home. Portions are big. Enough for a second meal.And a complimentary ice cream sundae. Fresh made rolls were excellent as well. Service was superb. Fun place to celebrate any occasion The other 3 people at our table enjoyed the shrimp, 6 oz filet and salmon. Will definitely be returning. Very attentive staff!“

“The food was awesome. I ordered quite a few things and they were all really good. I'll definitely be eating here meny more times. This unassuming joint is shared with the shell gas station, but don't let that deter you from dressing to the 9s and inviting your favorite person. Maybe just bring allong aprons or bibs too if you opt into the BBQ.“

“This place is good overall. Just like everywhere there's little things. The appetizers were A+. We had cheese curds and meatballs. Delicious. The chicken fettuccine was filling and cajun pasta was real good. The little things were the appetizers were served at the same time as the meal, there was no water offered with our cocktails, and the dirty martini, which had 2 olives, was brought with at least two sips spilled during the delivery. But again, overall it was served with a smile and every request was happily addressed. We would do this again.“

“I went to meet a friend today at Apple Valley Perkins. The lot was full. I am disabled. Both senior citizen spots were filled. Three of us got there about the same time so we pulled into spots next to the senior citizen spots. One of the cashiers (long gray hair)came out throwing her arms up in the air and motioning for us to leave. I rolled down my window and she hollered, "THOSE AREN'T PARKING SPOTS!! THERE AREN'T ANY LINES!" She motions like she was making lines on the pavement The other two cars LEFT! I stayed ONLY because I was meeting a friend. SERIOUSLY? This is how you treat your customers? My friend showed up and she parked where I was going to park. The hostess was on the phone so she didn't control the parking. A while later, she came around to all the tables asking who owned the white vehicle out in the lot. We frequent Perkins a lot and have parked in those spots before with no problems. A walk from Petco is a little to much. Especially for a disabled person.“
