“Appears nothing has changed since these older reviews. Still the same 5 star outstanding meals! We had such a fun experience in this small and lovely restaurant. The prime rib was the best they ever had, according to several of our friends. More raves about the pappardelle with duck sauce and the beer battered walleye! Peggy is an amazing chef. I will have fond food memories of her place until I return and make new ones!“
“First time here and it was a pretty good experience. I appreciate how the restaurant offers reservations... just makes it so much easier for everyone. Unfortunately, I did not see any staff at the hostess stand when I arrived however, my party was already seated. I've heard nothing but fantastic things about the all you can eat fish fry here, so that's what actually brought me here. Fantastic! Fish was hot, crispy, and not greasy; also served with tartar sauce. You also get a generous amount of fries which were great... I love a good zesty fry. Coleslaw was tasty as well. I had to get the mini donuts for dessert and those were delicious. Tasty, hot, and perfectly sugared. There were a few things I'd like to try on the menu... Buffalo chicken wontons, cheese curds, and the burger. I'll have to come back next time I'm in the area. I'd say our waitress wasn't very attentive and not too friendly.... Just kinda felt like she didn't want to be there. However, the food made up for it. Restaurant is large, well lit, and clean.“
“Went in thinking of a typical late night bar menu.If bars had a separate class rating for the late night menus and creativity- this would be the place.Exceeded expectations completely, well done. The cheese curds and steak bites both had a really unique (and delicious) touch. The bloody Mary mix is also next level. They also have a variety of top shelf whiskeys, nothing like a Suntory Hibiki, but they have a good selection.“
“Definitely check this place out! We've been here a couple of time, always in the winter for some reason, and have never been let down! The service from the hostess, to the servers, the bartenders and the manager Travis that checked in on us were all extremely friendly and accommodating as we had our 3 little ones with us. This bar/restaurant has a very cozy and warm feeling (I absolutely love being able to take my coat off and not freeze in a restaurant in Minnesota winters). There is an awesome wood burning fireplace that really adds to it's charm. If that's not enough there's a large selection of local artwork throughout each room. There's a huge outdoor patio for all your warmer weather dining needs and it is dog friendly! Rumor has it this summer they will be offering a doggy menu for possible "Yappy Hour"specials!Back to the food, it's amazing! The menu is the perfect size to offer a great variety without compromising quality and taste. We had the 100% Angus burgers that were cooked to perfection and served with perfectly seasoned fries. The buffalo wing appetizers were cooked to have a slightly crispy outside and juicy inside without being sloppy like other wing establishments. We didn't have the fajitas but saw and smelled multiple orders of them whiz by us and will definitely be back to try them. There are plenty of beers on tap and a full bar that will have anything you might have a taste for. I had a blood orange margarita and it was spot on! Coincidentally that happens to be the only picture I took of our meal.“
“What a cute spot! They have amazing bloody Mary's! This place is great if you want to stop in for a quick drink and a small treat or stay for a full meal! I went here a few years ago and found myself there this past weekend again. It was as good as I remembered and the staff were so kind! Everyone at brunch raved about their meal, truly exceptional! Their eggs were all cooked to perfection! Highly recommend if you are in the area. If you are ever in the area highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Terrific find in St Paul in the Art Deco St Paul Air Terminal Holman's Table. Lot's of photos of early aviation, a private plane landed and taxi'd up for a lunch meeting. Meals were excellent, the room is a delight over looking Holman Field.“
“We went for dinner with friends and loved the view, atmosphere, and had great service. The drinks for most of us were also excellent. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this.I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn't ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field.I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn't that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it.Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.“
“You guys went over and above any expectations I had. We will definitely be back again and will be recommending LT around! The food was great and you more than made up for the mistakes made. Plus I think my husband is addicted to the bulgogi now.“
“This is a staple when I’m in town- love bringing my dog in the summer for the patio. The menu changes regularly and everything is always amazing. Tried some chicken penne and cake this time around- the burgers are also really good especially with the caramelized onions.“
“Cheerful and professional service from Sydney. Great artichoke dip and nice smooth lattes. The hibiscus orange tart has great flavor, but a little odd in texture for me. A wonderful option within walking distance of the XCel and Science Museum.“
“Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my sister. She's not a huge burger person and she's been telling me how much she loves their burger here. I knew I had to try it. We started with spicy Bloody Mary.... Meal of champions. It was excellent. I ordered the cheeseburger and let me tell you, my sister wasn't kidding.... It was juicy, hot, and delicious. Fries were nice and hot. Next time, I'll ask for extra pickles. Small little dive bar. Lots of locals. Staff were very nice and friendly. You order your food at the window and it comes out quickly. There's a liquor store attached to the bar... that's pretty neat. I also stopped in here before a wedding in February for a few drinks before heading to the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center. Another good experience. If you're in the area or if you're in the mood for bar food, I highly suggest giving it a try. Prices are great too! WIN WIN in my book.“
“Good burgers, good appetizers. A very solid experience. I would recommend sitting at the bar, the bartenders are always awesome and give great service. The burgers have a good variety that you can't find other places so it's fun to try different things too. The atmosphere is relaxed without being divey. Would recommend.“
“Staff seemed short staffed HOWEVER our service did an amazing job. While not able to chit chat she was fast and helpful with our order. The food was good we got the fish and chips. Would love to try more of the food. A cute little tavern with a good vibe. Place to go if you are looking for American food and a good time“
“No other wing place will EVER compare to getting wings from here. I've been eating here since I graduated high-school back in 2018 and I can't say I've found any other place that can compare. I've been loyal to this place since then and I plan to remain loyal to this place for as long as they're around.“
“Quick stop here for a birthday drink! Their bloody Mary's are very good! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating to the customers. They are good for any size group and close to the hockey stadium near by for post game celebrations. A great place to watch sporting events too.“
“Love restaurant week! The beef bourguinon with mashed potatoes and demi-glace was delicious and so tender it melted in my mouth. Our server Alex was a delight. Located on the other side of town from me but well worth the extra time to get there. I'll definitely go back to try some other dishes.“
“Ordered fish and chips for takeout. The order was ready promptly but pickup was a bit chaotic as it was Friday night during happy hour and all the servers and bar personnel were really busy, The portions were very generous for both the fish and the chips and the fish was flavorful and not overly battered. My main complaint was that the takeout containers were plastic and thus the food couldn't be rewarmed in the oven. Microwave makes the chips soggy which these were by the time I got them home. Styrofoam is equally bad for the environment but at least it could have been put in the oven to reheat. Price was fairly reasonable for the size of the portions.“
“I love this place. They have such a delicious variety of breakfast and lunch options and they're quick and efficient in prepping orders. And they keep adding new stuff!! I've tried many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. If I had to pick a favorite, it'd be the Meat Lovers omelet. No, the West 7th Street burger. No... the omelet. AH! I can't choose just one!“
“Steak, garlic mashed potatoes asparagus with a blackberry sauce. Was wonderful and will order it again. Then I had their saffron cheesecake that was divine and drizzled in caramel and chocolate. Think I'll order this again tomorrow night.“
“INCREDIBLE Setting (in 1923 Union Depot, architectural marvel), INSANE Happy Hour Specials ($4 wine & beer, $6 Station Burger w/ option to swap in vegan Impossible burger, M-F 3-6 & ALL DAY Sat-Sun), TONS OF FUN (Jazz night every 1st Thursday, Trivia 2nd & 4th Wednesdays, ping pong table, giant chess check out, etc.). BEST bartender and waitress, Yani, is so sweet!Vegetarian options: Impossible burgers, white bean sandwich, Brussel sprouts, etc.“
“It's good, except they always try to avoid actually giving you the advertised good discounts. I'm not sure why. But you need to check the bill, and ask for the discount. Then they always put up a fight. Otherwise, the food is great.“
“My sister and I came here before the Olivia Rodrigo show at Xcel, and we had a great experience. Our server, Alexa, was incredibly nice and gave us great mocktail recommendations. When the bar was out of an ingredient for the one we ordered, the bartender, John, went out of his way to create a new recipe for us. It ended up being one of the best mocktails we've ever had. The food was great, too— definitely try the bread pudding if you get the chance. Thank you again, Alexa and John, for making our night awesome!“
“We stopped in at Trappers last Saturday for bingo. The place was packed and it was a fun atmosphere.I tried the new Smashburger, which was REALLY good! Cooked perfectly and with fresh mushrooms. I'd definitely come back for that. My wife and our friends all enjoyed their food as well and, since Trappers has such a diverse menu, there's something for every appetite.Granted, they were very busy, but our service was very, VERY slow. Our server was clearly not up for a busy atmosphere and didn't know her tap beer & seltzer options - nor did she have it written down. Initially, she didn't show up at our table for at least 10 minutes and this was before they got busy. A few times, she disappeared for quite awhile without checking in on our table.I was pleased that they offered a build-your-own bloody Mary bar, since I'm pretty particular about using good mixes. There were plenty of options, including a variety of mixes, hot sauces, and condiments. We've been to Trappers dozens of times and will be back. Sitting at the bar is always a solid option for ensuring good service.“
“Comfortable pub atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff. Food was very good in generous servings. Ample free parking with easy access off I-694 in Oakdale.Daily lunch special of 3 beef enchaladas with rice, black beans and lettuce for $9.00 was great! I got change back from my $10 bill. Incredible!“
“We LOVE this bar. Eagle Street was our go to for after Wild games, but then they closed and we needed to find a new after bar. We tried other bars, but none fit what we needed. Then we tried Wild Bills and it was PERFECT. It was the atmosphere, service, kindness, all of it, rolled in one little package. We were won. The icing on our cake, and why we'll never go anywhere else is their bouncers. CJ and Chris made sure that a wayward cabby, who wouldn't listen, didn't make off with my best friend. Not only did they make him move along and look for someone who ACTUALLY requested service, but they stayed with her while she finished her cigarette, and then made sure she reconnected with me when she came back inside. Safely. I can't tell you enough how much this is appreciated, from both of us. We won't go anywhere else after Wild games because not only do we love PJ and his music selection, but we feel safe and seen not just as a dollar transaction, but people who deserve to feel safe. 10/10“
“We had our lunch party here today with our family after our wedding and the entire experience was amazing! The staff and service was outstanding! Food was excellent and there was just a wonderful attention to detail! Thank you to the entire staff for making our day so special!“
“If you want delicious food, do yourself a favor and head over. Their salad dressings are made from scratch and that's my favorite thing. The ranch is SOOO delicious! I haven't tried others but my sister and friends loved multiple other kinds. The soup and sandwiches are great, too. The desserts are great and they serve Northern Soda, which is a fun treat, too! I've gone here with multiple friends and relatives and everyone, even "hard to please at restaurants" think it's great!“
