“Went here with a group of residents from where I live. On the day we were there, you went to a counter to order and they gave a device that signaled when our order was ready. It was a little slow, there was another group there as well. But it was a beautiful day and scenery was equally pleasant. The French Dip sandwich was very good with plenty of meat on it.“

“Cowan's is about as good as it gets when it comes to down-home cooking meets contemporary American cuisine! The people there are awesome and very polite. The menu is great, it is just fantastic that you can get any meal at any time of day! It's all done very well too. Their desserts are out of this world, especially the MILE HIGH pie!!You gotta stop in and try this place, Cowan's is awesome! No wonder it's where all the townspeople go to discuss their happenings. :) Thank you Cowan's!“
“We stopped here in our RV through our Harvest Host membership. This was a top-notch experience. We went in to the brewery, and were greeted by very happy faces. They chatted with us, and made us feel very welcome. We ordered some beverages, and were informed that they had two local restaurants that would deliver food to us. We happened to be there on a Wednesday, which is trivia night, and we had so much fun. Even the locals were very friendly, and came up to our table to introduce themselves and chat with us. When we went back to order a second beverage, the bartender even referred to us by name. The patio is great, with both covered and uncovered seating. It's such a short distance from the highway, and yet in a beautiful peaceful setting. And the beer (and root beer) was great. We highly recommended this stop!“

“This is our new favorite go-to Mexican restaurant! Truly family owned by brothers David and Gabriel. Delicious home made salsa! Big variety of Mexican dishes. Everything we have tried is absolutely wonderful. Located in New Melle. A short drive from Wentzville (I-70 & I-64) or Hiway 94 wine country and well worth it. Friendly servers. Say "Hi" to David or Gabriel. They're usually roaming around. New outdoor patio should be ready for Cinco De Mayo.Parking: Lots of free parking right on frontWheelchair accessibility: Concrete Wheelchair ramp at entrance“

“First time customer. I came in early, yet convinced the tenderloin is the best on the menu, I went for it.An unexpected phenom happened. Somehow, some way my steak ended up inside an active volcano where it cooked until it was turned to char. The staff was quick to act and make it right. Then they brought out an Amazeballs fillet!I eat steak often and it was perfection! I'm already craving the next one and haven't left the parking lot yet. Things happen and they made it right, that's more than expected in this day and age where standard service is becoming something of the past!“

“I've been driving by this place for years, and finally decided to go. I wish I would have way sooner because it is so good! After we sat down our waitress was there within 2 minutes, ready to take our order. Food came out quick it was hot, fresh and delicious. They have big TVs everywhere and I believe it's mainly like a sports bar but they also have a lot of tables too, for food service. Everybody seemed very friendly, staff and patrons, bathrooms are clean and there's a really large outdoor patio area, with more TVs and ample seating. If you haven't been, definitely give it a try!!“

“Arrive is hit or miss usually depending when you go. It can be annoying trying to get in because of the limited parking. It isn’t bad but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. I think as times have changed so has the quality and consistency of the food here.Parking: Free parking be usually have to park across the street and walk over.“

“I absolutely love this sushi. I'm a very picky eater when it comes to eating raw fish in Missouri, but their sushi is amazing, along with their spicy mayo and fried sushi. Reasonably priced and a good size portion for meals, also it's a very clean and romantic place to eat. The staff are always helpful and my husband and I will never stop eating there! 10/10Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian but they do have veggies meals.Parking: Great parking, next to Salty Siren Tattoo in UnionKid-friendliness: They have their children there as well, they typically are not packed when I take my kids, and they have great options for a kid menu“

“This experience was disappointing. I don't remember there being vinyl tablecloths which really don't look nice. There were children running around interrupting other people at other tables. As for the food- the lasagna looked good and tasted pretty good, but wasn't hot in the middle. The penne with chicken and artichoke was a disaster. It was about 3/4 penne with lots of linguine noodles tossed in. The sauce was excessive or had a lot of pasta water in the bowl. It looked like a soup and didn't taste great either. Then, when presented with the bill, we were charged a service charge for using a credit card. Using a credit card at an eating establishment, especially one this large and servicing a large number of people, has been standard practice for decades with the establishment covering these fees, yet, for some reason the Hawthorne as decided to pass these charges along to the customer. This, along with the vinyl tablecloths really cheapens the experience yet the prices have continued to inflate.“

“Good News Brewing is a great place to enjoy the fall weather. Have a beer, listen to a live band, and enjoy one of their delicious wood-fired pizzas, salad, or garlic cheese bread. They do not consider themselves as a restaurant or bar but a brewery that serves great beer and sourdough, wood-fired pizzas.Good News Brewery was celebrating Octoberfest on a beautiful day with a live band (outdoors), and the brewery was packed downstairs, on the rooftop deck, and in the courtyard. The rooftop was our choice for seating, and we loved the birds eye view of everything going on. Good News Brewery is next door to Katy trail, and many people pop in for a coffee, latte, beer, beverage, or pizza after their bike ride or walk/run. They are a family - and dog friendly brewery. Picnic tables are in the courtyard area, rooftop seating, along with many tables downstairs in the main dining area. When we arrived, we weren't quite sure if they had table service, where to order, and if they delivered to the table. It was a perfect day, so they were crowded, but we worked our way around the long line. We did have to order at the counter, and you wait for your food. We only had to wait 25 minutes for ours. We just drank our beers and waited. They do not deliver to your table. When we left for the day, the wait time for a pizza was over an hour. I'm glad we arrived early. After finding a rooftop table, our guys went downstairs to order our drinks and food. We ordered 3 Octoberfest beers and 1 Hazelnut Coffee Stout beer. Good beers! We had two orders of the Garlic Cheese Bread and the wood fired Vampire Deathwish pizza. Oh my word, it was delicious. I understand why it's their number one seller. The four of us devoured the amazing pizza and garlic cheese bread. The dough was soft, covered with flavorful Vampire Deathwish sauce, and not overcooked. I do look forward to visiting again when we visit our family next. They host many events from weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, and conference events, or any reason to gather together. Keep it in mind for your next event.“

“The food was delicious as always and our waitress was very friendly and personable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I asked to speak to the manager (I wanted to compliment our waitress), but after 15+ minutes we got tired of waiting.“
“Today was a beautiful day, I had the privilege of being there today by myself. I enjoyed the special treatment, and half bottles Wednesday. I will be back next Wednesday with some special friends and family. I’m thankful to the Lord for allowing me to have such a wonderful place 18 minutes away from my home.“

“There's many things on the menu I haven't tried but what I have, has been exceptionally good. Price is reasonable considering the locality as apposed to St. Louis menu pricing. Overall I would recommend this establishment for a nice evening out. You won't be disappointed.“

“The carnitas plate which my husband ordered and the fajita bowl were flavorful and cooked well. The service was great and the servers worked together as a team! The prices were also reasonable. The only slight negative is the tortilla chips were kind of greasy.“

“No signal in this town. Had to use my nose. I smelled bbq. Thankfully the nose knows. Had the big muddy. You gotta smash this thing down and lift up with a spoon if you want to leave the mud on the tray. Brisket is good and tender. Jalapeno sausage has a nice crunch and bite. Pickles have a great snap and not too sour. Slaw doesn't detract from the bbq even though it looks like a lot. The cowboy beans are hardy and are similar to Brunswick stew. Not sure what all is in it. Very nice atmosphere. Friend friendly people. Red cream soda is like big red. Thanks ya'll for the Q!“

“Going to the Botanical Tea Room is a wonderful experience. I went with a group from the St Louis Evening Herbal Association. We really enjoyed the conversation with the owners. They are very informed on the herbal teas, garden to table herbs, flowers and vegetables. It’s so much fun touring the property to see what’s being grown there. It is evident that Penelope loves what she is doing and sharing there. She takes growing and serving very seriously. It’s really just a beautiful experience!Dietary restrictions: I’m dairy free and Penelope had twice accommodated for me.“
