“I have not noticed racial tensions there. (Any more than you might find anywhere in the StL)....There is a woman that frequents the bar who has color and appears to be well regarded. It IS a North side divey joint. They don't serve any food now outside of bar room pizza...But drink and beer prices are good and if you stay away from controversial conversation you'll get along with everyone in there. Which is probably true for let's say 75% of the corner bars in St. Louis.“

“Stopped in during Wing Week at lunch time. Could barely get in the door due to the crowd. I actually got a table within 5 minutes! My wings were good, but I need to return. I looked at many dishes as they went by, and also observed other tables' food. Everything looked delicious. They staff was amazing, and ran the place with great efficiency. They knew many customers, so they have many regulars.“

“Last night , I spent hours searching for the best restaurants in St Louis and I stumbled upon this one. The reviews were amazing and let me tell you, the reviews were correct. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We tried the bulgogi and rice bowl, the charred wings, and cheese fries. We also tried a peach shot, they didn’t taste strong but the results were. I normally don’t visit a restaurant more than once but I’ll be a repeat customer anytime that I’m in town. I also loved the customer service. The woman taking my order was very cheery and made me feel welcomed. Many of the customers are repeat customers that were also talkative and welcoming. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and this one is definitely in my top 5.“

“Visited Bar Louie on a Tuesday with my 19 year old son. We both enjoyed our meal as well as the service from our waiter. He looks like “Post Malone” lolI had a mushroom & asparagus flatbread and my son had a four-cheese flatbread. I ordered a happy hour Martini that my waiter recommended…WAKE UP CALL!It was delicious and perfect because I asked my waiter to recommend a drink that wasn’t too sweet. He nailed it! “Recently tried out Time Out since they're under new ownership. I was pleasantly surprised by all the changes. Great bartenders, very attentive and know what they're doing! The place is well kept and welcoming. I had the late night menu, which had quite a few options on it. All I ordered was really good! And they have that menu till 3 am!“

“This place is great, I love the fact that they are LGBTQ friendly. I took my daughter and her best friend who is disabled there for the first time, and they welcomed her with open arms very friendly atmosphere, and the karaoke was great. And the fact that it was wheelchair accessible made it even better. We were downstairs and The bartender was amazing and friendly, this is definitely a place I will visit again and my daughter has declared this for go to from now on. I highly recommend that you check this place out.Wheelchair accessibility: It was very easy for my daughters friend who is in a wheelchair to get in upstairs, and then to get downstairs where the karaoke is we just wheeled around to the back and went right in through the door. There was plenty of room, and everyone was very welcoming.“

“We were at Fastlane and decided to try Shirley's on a whim. A little intimidating from the parking lot but what the heck. There were only a couple customers at the bar. Ashley was our friendly, smiling waitress. We ordered the trash wings at Ashley's suggestion. Also, chili, BLT & fries, burger, chicken noodle soup. We were pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious. The BLT was about 3" thick. Trash wings were great. Fresh brewed tea, soda in cans. The manager/chef(??) came out to see how everything was. Shirley's looks like it would be a great place to come for a night out. I would call it a Dive Bar, but food was good, staff was great. “Being I'm a truck driver from out of time I stopped there for a drink and food and they was very welcoming there. Most bars don't like out of Towner's but they included in their round of shots and I drink too shelf??But that fish platter ???. The Owner and and her sister also check on you to make sure your good. “Atmosphere is an awesome 90s themed. There are old video game consoles stationed around. We ordered Guacamole Rangoon, which was interesting. I'd also like to try the lobster ones, too next time! The two pizzas we ordered were the meat one and the Buffalo chicken one. Really nice flavor overall. The owner was there working, and he was very welcoming. Three Little Monkeys is a must try if you're a pizza lover.“

“I went on an evening that just happened to be snowy one, so the crowd was slim. They were not open yet, but they let me come in and order because it was cold out! The crowd did however pickup before I left, which was about after an hour of my arrival. Sue the bartender was very nice, and made some scrumptious cocktails. The music was cool, and kept the upbeat vibe going. Upon departing, I ordered the pork chop and fries to go from the connecting doorway. The food was delish, and my overall experience was on point.“

“The Mack is always a nice stop during the week for a drink and a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere, good specials and solid food options. For me, it's too loud and crowded on the weekends but that's a personal preference, so if you're looking for that..by all means stop in on a Friday night! I usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are always friendly. Occasionally the inside vaping can be a bit much if a number of people are going at once *but* it's usually not that bad. Great neighborhood staple that's consistent and enjoyable.“

“The rueben......I swear the meat was two inches thick. I'm so bummed I didn't take any pics. But, yeah, the reuben was amazing. And the fries were top notch. The service was so, so good. We had a party of 8 and Michaela W. was incredible. Oftentimes, a large party is "forgotten", but we waited for nothing, she was there when we needed refills, but wasn't just hanging around. And the inside of that place is so cool, wood everywhere, and a really nice old time wood bar, with the huge mirror. I will be going back.“

“The service is SUPER slow even when it's not that busy. It's easily an hour+ wait for your food, 20 mins for your drink. They will run out of turkey ribs by 5 and not answer the phone if you try calling ahead to find out.The vibe is cool, and the food is pretty good. The sweet hot wings, "caeser" salad and loaded fries are my favs. They just sat two slices of American cheese on the bussed down potatoes, lol.You can get a lot of these options at other places with faster service, but overall, it's a good place to hang out and have a cpl of drinks (get the strawberry Dusse).“

Are before I came so I haven't tried the food yet. Overall experience was great except for the headliner of the concert. “Nice little sports bar tucked into a strip mall. In this occasion the property people had the front of the store torn up. The entrance wasn't much to look at but worth the try. The team here was great on a really slow day. They were very attentive and friendly. The bartender and owner went out of their way to put on our game. It was great to be able to have "our game" placed on the screen at our table. The inside of the bar is large and clean. It's very attractive with a million TV's to watch. The high top tables were reasonably comfortable. The men's restroom needed some help though. My house side salad was very large. The ingredients were fresh. It had a decent amount of side vegetables. Perhaps could have used more color and appeal. The salad was very good though! I ordered the 10 piece wings in Asían Sesame sauce. The wings were pretty good size for bone in wings. They were meaty and moist and cooked perfectly. The wing was fried with a nice crisp. The sauce was plentiful but not dripping off the wing. I found the Asian taste to be very mild...maybe too mild. There was no spice or kick. Just a very smooth tasting sauce....but good!“
