Based on our experience this is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, no idea why ratings aren't better. The only downside is a great reason to go: they need more customers! I've heard many Hispanic restaurants are having trouble lately w. customers (incl legal residents) afraid to come out, so this is a good time to support them. But it's a great space and a fun vibe.“

“Stayed up late and made a reservation a month in advance for my hubby‘s birthday and it was well worth it. Wright’s has a romantic & moody vibe, perfect for a date night. We started off with the crab cake which was by far the most delectable bite we had. An absolute must have! For our entrees, we chose the potato-crusted halibut and 14oz New York strip. The halibut was delicate in flavor, but the lemon beurre blanc sauce packed richness. Unfortunately the NY strip was disappointing. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, however the steak & crust itself was dry & tough. We would recommend future guests just stick with the seafood entree options, as they were absolutely delicious. The onions rings were good as is, but the tavern aioli made them great. The service we received was impeccable. Overall, we still had a 5 star experience at Wright’s and will be back!“

The staff at this restaurant went over and above for us, especially Michelle and one other server, I am sorry that I couldn’t see his name tag and I didn’t want to be rude. They were both super friendly and helpful and this place should be glad that they have such wonderful staff to help people out. Maybe it was just a bad not, but it was continuous throughout the evening, as well as waiting on our check for 15 minutes before having to ask for it.“

My friend had the Friday Special (catfish, shrimp, and wings) while I chose the Thursday special of wings and shrimp. Both dishes were perfectly executed, tasty, and not at all oily. 10/10. “This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!

I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“Lu Lu still my favorite Chinese restaurant when I need to treat my friends for authentic traditional Chinese dinner. We were there on 09-22 Sunday evening, three of us ordered beef chow fun, sweet and sour sole fish, cashew chicken, black pepper beef hot plate. The chef cooked them together and server brought them out at the same time. Lady who served us was very friendly, she even offered to pack the leftover for us so my friends and I could engaged in conversation end of the meal. We love the food, the service and the atmosphere.
