“From the road, Defiance Ridge Winery looks like just another winery. But inside is where the magic happens.  Defiance Ridge, they get it. They understand that sometimes, you want more than just a wine tasting. You want an experience.

And what an experience it was.  We got a table by the fireplace – and the view was beautiful, even on the gray winter day. The friendly staff guided us through the menu, which, bless their hearts, had something for everyone, even a gluten-free fella like myself.

I'll admit, I felt a pang of sadness when I saw those golden fries go by – a crispy, salty forbidden fruit. But they had more gluten-free options than most places I go to. And my burger? A masterpiece.  Juicy, cooked to perfection, is the kind of burger that makes you close your eyes and savor the moment. And their coleslaw was nothing that I'd seen before but delicious! My friend, equally delighted with their own plates, pulled pork sandwiches, and chicken salad on a fresh croissant, declared it a unanimous win. Oh, and let's not forget dessert -French beignets with the raspberry coulis.  My wife, a woman of discerning taste, declared the beignets transcendent. And the wine?   The real surprise was the Raisin Ranch –  my favorite choice.  My friend bought a bottle to pair with salmon.

Defiance Ridge, you've won me over.  This isn't just a winery; it's a destination. A place where the food is as captivating as the view, and the company is just as good as the wine. Consider this a standing reservation – I'll be back.“

“I do NOT recommend this restaurant. We have always loved Letty Lou’s and were disappointed when they closed after the fire. Today, we were finally able to step in to grab lunch for our family. While the server was kind and seated us quickly, after 15 minutes we left. We have two small children and ordered our food and drinks upon sitting down. After 15 minutes, we still had not received our drinks but watched our server take several other orders. There were three servers working and the restaurant was not full. I expected to wait awhile for food, but not for a glass of water.“

Kid-friendliness: Sure to be a hit with the kids. Off the beaten path route 66 gem of a landmark with a ton of atmosphere and personality. It's living history.

Wheelchair accessibility: Location is accessible. Upstairs speakeasy is not though. Stairs only.“

“Such a cozy, fun place to meet for dinner! A friend and I met here for dinner at last minute. The bacon wrap pork kabobs, pizza, and quesadillas are delicious! The decor is really cute too! “Just had my son’s 7th birthday party there today and we had a blast!! We had a party of 30 and our server Katherine was amazing! We always had our drinks, our food came out fast, and she was so sweet to my kid. She was really helpful with all the things I needed. I’m sure she had other tables but we couldn’t tell. We were there for about 4 hours and she did great the whole time. My friend told me she wants to have her daughter’s birthday there and is planning on requesting Katherine as her server. “From the moment I walked into the door the staff made me feel at home. I was greeted with a warm smile, and a friendly but prompt greeting asking me what I’d like to order.

My root-beer float was sensational, and was delivered fast, bubbly, and ice cold. I couldn’t ask for a better fast-food experience. The manager Martin particularly made the experience worthwhile.“

“As an employee I may be biased however I would recommend this restaurant as both a great place to eat and work. The people make it a great place to work and the slow roasted beef make it hands down, the best roast beef around. with just a touch of seasoning salt it’s great as is or add some au jus and horseradish to complete it.“

“We came here with 14 people and had the most amazing food and service! The food came hot and fresh and Ariana took great care of us making sure the drinks were full and everyone got everything they needed. We came for their Sunday brunch and the food was absolutely amazing! Definitely a great place to come for a family brunch!“

“Man. What a gem. Glad we finally came to check this place out. No joke, the best chicken tenders we have had in our lives. Definitely a must try.

We both had burgers and they were fantastic. Definitely one of the best I have had at a restaurant. And the fries (seasoned and Greek) were exceptional, maybe only rivaled by sweet potato waffle fries. Gotta try em.

“The Hay Market is within the Holiday Inn at Six Flags and is within a historical dairy barn that was converted many years ago...

Through out the years we have dined here off and on... on Thanksgiving Day they offered a holiday themed buffet... which was delicious...

Melissa was our waitress that day... she was attentive and stopped by to make sure we we not in need of anything... everyone was kind and wonderful...

We will definitely eat there again...“

“We had our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at Mellow Mushroom and boy, did we choose a great place! They had us all set up for 25 people beautifully when we arrived and was quickly introduced to our amazing server, Katie. Between her and her crew of helpers (for lack of a better word), we were taken care of so well. Tara, the bartender also tended to us with quick and excellent service. The general manager Ahmad checked on us several times to be sure we were happy and everyone was taken care of. Food and drinks were quickly and deliciously served and enjoyed. The atmosphere is so fun and upbeat. I don’t think we had one problem (except us being 7 minutes late - so sorry about that!!). We go to Mellow Mushroom as a couple and a family and now we can add as a wedding party and extended family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!“

“The rudest manager I have ever met. the restaurant was only about 30% full and the hostess would not seat us at the table we wanted to sit at, even though 70% of the tables were empty. I asked her to ask the manager, and we still couldn't sit at the table we wanted. So, we decided to leave. On the way out, I stopped at the hostess desk and very politely asked her to pass along to the manager why we were leaving so that he would be aware because if I were manager, I would want to know why my customers left before ordering.. The manager came up behind me while I was telling her that and interrupted me saying to stop talking because he was aware of my opinion. He went on to say that he had been doing this for a long time and knows what he is doing. When I started to respond, he interrupted me again shouting "Stop talking!" and then, "Just leave!" I had made my request for the table very politely and was also very politely asking the hostess to let him know that we were leaving for that reason. To be interrupted twice and yelled at and told to stop talking and just leave in the manor he did so was outrageous behavior verging on threatening. I will never return and will encourage all the groups I routinely go to sports bars with to never return. If you are going to a sports bar to watch your favorite teams, this is definitely NOT the place to go. You will likely not be able to watch the teams you like and will get yelled at if you try. Customer service is definitely not something this place values.“

“Good burgers. Nothing amazing but just a solid burger. Fries were a little on the cold side.

But service was quick. The server checked on us frequently and brought some extra fries which were hot and fresh.

Like everything their burger meal prices have inches farther north and more expensive.
We stick to the tavern burgers. Tasty and less expensive“

“Foreplay is always good, everything else was TRASH. Awful service from a completely clueless server. Waited an hour and a half with no food or drink and ended up canceling the order. She didn't even care about the issues either. No "sorry I'm terrible at my job." Nothing. Her name was "Kerrie" and you should avoid her. Was told there was no manager on duty on a Saturday night so that's cool too. Three other bartenders seemed uninterested in helping too. Won't go back and I'll tell everyone else the same thing. I would like to shout out to the door guy. He at least provided some customer service when I had an issue“

“I went to Freddy’s in Milford, OH and the drive-thru guy was SUPER FRIENDLY!!! His name was Justin! He was very welcoming and helpful and super cheerful which helped because I was having a not so good day and it cheered me up a bit! I highly recommend this location!“
