“Great hole in the wall with delicious, homemade food. Even the Mayfair salad dressing is made from scratch. Friendly staff and plenty of seating. I got the Ruban sandwich with a side salad and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had. Great meat, to toppings to bread ratio. Affordable prices. There's also some slots to play. The only thing I didn't like was the indoor smoking. But other than that, great experience.“
“Visited this location today and I received awesome service! As a person who frequently engages with the public, I appreciated the energy and enthusiasm. I can’t remember who was there but he gave me my food around 11:15. Very friendly!! I love a good service, and I needed that on today!!“
“Out of all the coffee shops that I have visited within Saint Louis, this is by far the best cafe I have gone to. Whether it be the coffee or pastries, every item that I have tried on the menu has been unforgettable. My personal favorite is the dulce de leche with oat milk. It is sweet and consistently tasty. Not to mention, the environment/staff are friendly, the prices are affordable, and I find myself getting the most work done when I do choose to study.“
“Really nice spot to grab lunch. Service was amazing. Very cheery and great spirited wait staff. Veggie Sandwich, Mushroom Asparagus soup and of course the key lime pie was very delicious. The ambience was great. Highly recommend coming here for a bite if you are visiting Alton.“
“This place is worth a try if you've never been. They have a huge amount of donut options. I enjoyed the butterfinger chocolate cake and the m&m chocolate cake flavor. My ham egg and cheese on a whole wheat bagel was hot and fresh. My husband says that the burger was mediocre, but he really loved his glazed donut. Friendly staff as well.“
“This is a mom & pop type diner. Nice blues and oldies music playing. Self-serve coffee area. I ordered waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon & extra bacon. Everything was good, but my bacon was cooked a little too hard where it crumbled up.We also ordered hashbrowns, turkey sausage and cream of wheat. Great customer service, friendly people and clean.“
“Love this place! Celebrated a birthday with a cute breakfast turned brunch. The drinks were delicious. The ambience to die for. It is completely IG/TicTok worthy. And the staff was so incredibly nice. Our waiter was outstanding. Probably some of the best genuine service I’ve ever received. I wish I could remember his name to give him his credit. I only deducted a star because they were out of the ingredients dish my friend wanted and the bacon and cheese potatoes were a bit over charred. But overall the food was delicious.“
“Oh my goodness this place is so amazing. I think we will be seeing them grow quickly because it is so fresh and good. Highly recommend if you like bubble tea or even if you don't they have plenty of other drinks. They are so good about letting you have a small sample if you are unsure if you'd like a certain thing. That was me with the Taro which I loved“
“I've only been here twice, but both times the drinks have been 10/10. I've gotten the strawberry one & the creme brulee dirty boba. They're both very good, but the creme brulee one is next level good, probably my favorite drink I've had from any of the tea places I've been to. And super pretty!! :)“
“Serving up traditional food that can delight our family, with a taste for our late Lola's cooking, AND a crowd of first-timers to Filipino flavors, I can't sing enough praises for STL Filipino Bread...though, I can try, thanks to the karaoke setup they made happen as part of a big family party we recently hosted in their shop.Food: Wonderful, whether you're a newbie looking for an accessible place to sample a variety of traditional dishes, or a Filipino foodie giving your own rice cooker a night off...I definitely recommend stopping by for takeout and baked goods!Service: They're always happy to help you find exactly what you're looking for on a daily basis, whether you're looking to grab a quick lunch or grab enough food to host a gathering. At the aforementioned family party---we couldn't have pulled off a celebration of a lifetime without all of their hard work to make it happen! The space was decorated to the nines, and every need we had leading up to and during the event was met quickly and with enthusiasm. Leah, Mary Beth, Anna, and Kuya Jojo felt like part of the family!Ambiance: Perhaps one of the most fun parts of STL Filipino Bread is how it is a "one stop shop" for items of cultural significance. I'm so thankful this place is here and helping share Filipino culture and food with the St. Louis Area!“
“This place has been in business for 5 years. West siders are going to say this place is on the West side. Northsiders are going to say this is on the North. Im from North so it's on the Northside. Lol Either way, I finally decide to stop on thru and was rewarded with some very good tasting food. They are known for their homemade ice cream and for selling breakfast all day during their operation hours (as of this review, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays) On the day I went it was too hot for me to get ice cream as a togo item so I got :Breakfast plate with salmon Croquet 3.5/ 5: 2 nice sized patties that were well seasoned ( too well season for me but I can see how the majority of their customer base would like them this way.Egg over easy 3/5 good but the yolks wasn't running like it supposed to bePotatoes 5/5 smothered potatoes; best ever I had from a restaurant hands down Wheat toast; 3/5 I would have prefer white bread. Im going to ask next time if white is an option. Plain Stirfry : 5/5 noodles and sauce were on point .portion size was huge They have a loyal neighborhood customer base and the food is cooked to order; so there will be a wait time.If you are on the North, check out Ari's !!“
“We were here for breakfast. We ordered a power wrap, tomato basil soup, roast beef and havarti, and broccoli cheddar soup. Everything tasted good. We loved the ambience and the waiters were cordial. We didn't have to wait a lot of time after ordering food. Also, check their coffee.“
“This place was soooo good! Food was out fast and it was super delicious. I had the parma breakfast skillet and everything about it was perfection. staff was polite and helpful also! Will definitely be back and will also reccomend others. For myself it was a generous portion and I had water. It was 15$ and some change.“
“I was staying nearby and got the chance to walk over to Colleen's for breakfast before starting my day at work. I was warmly greeted despite all the snow on the ground at the time. It didn't take long to receive my order of a chocolate croissant and Americano with vanilla and half and half. The Americano was good but I've had better. The chocolate croissant was very flaky and delicious but I really wish I would of asked if they could heat it up a bit. That would of been the chef's kiss!“
“At first we weren't sure we were at the right location, but then spotted the sign. Great little place, we got a chicken pita and gyro with drinks. Fast, tasty, friendly, and good prices. There was a nice sitting area outside which we were lucky to have perfect weather for.The chicken was moist, the pita was warm with a little crisp, they were generous with tomatoes and onions, and the sauce was pretty good. Altogether very tasty, would recommend that, and the gyro was similarly great. If you're hungry, you can opt for a big boy instead of the standard size, but this size was perfect for lunch for both myself and my husband.Parking: Parking was easy to find on Friday afternoon.“
“Great breakfast sandwich! I mean perfect. Wonderful croissant with real egg and real cheese stacked and I mean stacked with crispy real bacon. Coffee was perfect as well and the staff is friendly. Best part of all, they openly profess their love for Jesus Christ.“
“Very efficient ordering system. The line is to go to the counter and order your meal. Once you’ve ordered, you will be seated and your meal will be brought your table.Food quality was excellent. We enjoyed a novel quiche , and a large portion of avocado toast. The desserts are on display as you are waiting to order, and we were tempted by a chocolate caramel pastry with a nut crust.Parking is easy, and prices are reasonable.“
“Burnt end turkey was smoked well with great vegetable and potato hash. The blackberry cheesecake stuffed French toast wasn’t stuffed but the toppings layered on top. The bread was warmed but so thick it didn’t resemble cooked french toast that had any crisp to it. There was too much sauce that made the dish into a soggy sweet bread. Great service and patio but the inside gets loud.“
“Looking for a hearty breakfast and well made coffee to set me up for full day on the Loop and surrounding area, and this place hit it on both. Had the Bruno on everything bagel with extra bacon and it was chock full…maybe even over generous on the eggs, but I was happy about that. Chilled atmosphere made even better by the eighties tunes they put on whilst I was there.“
“Our first visit to Alton, IL and my wife and I found State Street Market. The food is fantastic, Erin served us and her recommendations were spot on for our tastes. We both had the BLT and Avocado sandwich. The portions were very generous. Took some asparagus and mushroom soup home. We live in St Charles, but will visit often. Hope we see you soon, Erin.“
“Grande Burger is worth the price. Do not hesitate. No gristle or bones in these burgers! The first time there were jalapeños which was delicious. Ask for them if you want them. Pick up service is quick. The hard shell tacos are yummy too. One time they were flour and the next time corn so it is lovely to get a variety and have this choice. (Later learned hard shell flour is chalupa not taco. Chalupa shell is a little heavier than a fried flour tortilla.) The Steak Fajita King Burrito is so large it could feed a family! Super tasty and made less messy which is another thing to appreciate. We just started ordering here and plan to make it a regular staple in our rotation. Typically do not get along with restaurant food but *this food* must be built with love!“
“Glad I found this place! I was in search for cafes and this popped up in the search results. Looked amazing from the pictures and more amazing in person.Tried the minis! Since I couldn’t commit to so many large chocolate options.I did get the large raspberry lemon one. I’m a chocolate fan, and this one blew me away. The frosting was yummy and the cake is soft and moist.Thank goodness this place is far from me.Friendly lady at the register. They have cakes and ice cream options too. Dangerous ?Please make one with lavender and lemon!!!!!“
“Neighborhood spot. Good Drinks. They have two bars. I have hosted political functions here and birthday parties. John and his wife have refreshed the decor and it's nice. Too much Sauce - chicken and etc. Restaurant connected to them. Eat Up!Check out their calendar, they have 2 step nights, poetry slams, karaoke. Etc.“
“My wife and I came to know of Russo’s through the venue we are using to get married the woman helping us with everything quit I believe anyway it took longer then expected to get in contact with whoever the new person was going to be after getting in contact with our new representative things started moving along“
“Best cafe in Clayton! I order boxed lunches from them for meetings all the time! So easy and effortless to order. Food is incredible and the brownies in the lunches everyone RAVEES about! Love the chicken salad sandwich and the cranberry walnut chicken salad! Always so fresh and healthy!“
“I live two hours away and was looking forward to a delicious Lebanese meal. I did not find that at this restaurant. I grew up eating this food so I'm privy to the taste. The rice was sub par and was overly seasoned with cardamom. I love spicy food, but the grilled options were over spiced and not great flavor. The kibbe tasted like it came from the microwave. Lastly, it is over priced for what you get and it comes with paper plates. I have never been to an arabic restaurant and was this unimpressed. I will not be recommending others to come here as I will not come back.“
“My girlfriends and I had a tea party here this afternoon. The business is very cute so definitely dress for pictures. The tea and the food was good as well. I look forward to going back for another tea party, or for one of the themed brunches. In the other reviews there were some negative comments about the business practice and treatment of customers and I see what they mean. I was disappointed that I was not allowed to reschedule due to illness, and there was no policy that I saw about rescheduling .I asked if I could reschedule and was told that ," the chef has already prepared the food and that I could come pick up the food and leave since I was not feeling well ." I think the point was missed in that offer , because for $50 and such a beautiful establishment I wanted the experience not just the food. I wanted to sit in the place with my friends and enjoy the ambience. I understand that the chef did not want to waste food and time; but again, there was no policy about rescheduling there is a policy about cancellation. I ended up leaving early because I felt awful .“
