It wasn't peak time when visited, so the staff wasn't stressed, but I definitely appreciate how I was treated. I hope they are able to remain courteous even under pressure of high traffic bc it was a calm and pleasurable experience.

I purchased a meal for myself and a combo for my grandbaby and paid a little over $21.00.

Vegetarian options: Fish, Fries, Slaw, Beans, Green Beans. I didn't notice too much bc I knew what I went for.

“This day everything was so on point. I got full after my first piece of fish but for the price of the 6 dollar basket I had to finish it. The young lady who took my order which I believe was the manager I promise you is why I spent so much that day. She remain calm cool and collected with everyone in there and it was a few people in there ordering & her drive thru was humping. Not once did she yell like I see in other establishments, not once did she get out of character and that meant a lot to me! She accommodated my needs and means when it came to not having my side and gave me another side with no argument she deserved the real MVP AWARD.“

“Our lunch of Shrimp Tacos, Baby Greens and Carrot Cake was absolutely delicious. But what made the lunch so enjoyable was the excellent service by Joan. She made sure that we had everything we needed at just the right time without interfering with our lunch conversation. In addition, the chef even came out to deliver our food to the table as soon as the it was ready so we had the best possible experience. Thanks so much for making it a wonderful lunch.“

“Evangeline’s has a classic Central West End vibe, with charming patio seating, a modern New Orleans–style interior, great Cajun food, and live music. Our table enjoyed gumbo, shrimp and grits, and beans-and-rice dishes, along with excellent wine. We were there on a Thursday, when ambient noise was lower, so the music was a little loud for our table conversation, but we took dessert to go and thoroughly devoured that too. Great local restaurant!“

I enjoyed the Alabama Slammer beverage We had the seafood artichoke dip and alligator bites for appetizers I enjoyed the parmesan encrusted red snapper, green beans, and mashed potatoes Banana pudding cheesecake Everything was delicious The restaurant staff were friendly, especially our server Hana- she was truly astonishing and sweet. Attentive and definitely made the experience that much better. The restaurant was perfect, clean, and smelled good. I will be back. I gotta try that brunch, too.“
