“We came down to Jeff city for a birthday steak celebration with my Mom who transplanted herself there about two years ago. We had a bad experience and left another popular steak house and wandered into O’Donoghues’s on a busy Saturday night. We were treated like royalty! The food was exceptional. My Mother had the Lobster and a Filet, I had the Filet and my husband had the Sirloin. Everything was delicious and prepared with expertise. The bread, can I talk about the focaccia?????? It was so good. Our waitstaff was very busy with two parties at the same time, but managed to make us feel like we belonged there. Nothing makes a meal quite like being treated like family. Thank you so much. My hubby, my kid and I drove 7 hours, checked into our hotel, picked up my mother and drove straight into the downtown area. We were exhausted and left feeling full, filled with love and absolutely can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you to everyone working 11/22/25. Great Job!”

“We are locals and we love this restaurant. Best pizza in town in our opinion. Greek style. Sandwiches are also great, and I am not a huge sandwich fan. Theirs is flavorful and fresh. Gyros are another favorite of ours. Try the Agean Plate appetizer, comes with the most amazing pita chips. You'll be hooked! Place is always clean, nice full bar, staff is welcoming. They get busy, and there's a good reason for that. Not cheapest place in town, but well worth it. Try them! Eat local!”

She told me that this is a family owned business, and she brings her son in with her, who happened to be sleeping in the back at the time. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of my questions. While I was there, another lady came in, and was greeted by name. I love that they get to have a business while raising their son, and they clearly love people and want to help them. Their products are all clean and so good for you, also delicious! I can’t wait to go back, I highly recommend you go here instead of scooters or smoothie king. 😊”

We ate at the restaurant and the service was wonderful! I was a bit nervous to see if he liked it because he is super picky. But He LOVED it!!! This is a huge win, because he doesn't really like any other pizza place we've tried locally. Our 2 sons loved it too and could not stop eating. “Phenomenal venue for a wedding! The place is reasonably priced and can comfortably accommodate ~200 guests. If there are a lot of families and children on your guest list, the playground will be a major hit. There is ample parking and the kitchen is top-tier whether preparing your own food or bringing in a catering company. Our experiences with the Lions Club volunteers were always pleasant and we didn't encounter any other issues. Again, I'd highly recommend this venue for a wedding!”

“The 3 guys working the dinner shift were absolutely amazing, Brayden, Eliseo and a younger kid were so attentive and polite. Brayden was very patient waiting for our difficult order to be communicated (two younger picky allergy children) and never once got annoyed. Eliseo worked hard to ensure we received our entire order the first time and it was AMAZING!! 10/10 on the tuna for sure. And the younger guy was working very hard to make sure the entire restaurant was clean even taking the additional chair we used!! Tonight was a great experience!”

“My son and I had our thanksgiving meal at Sapphires this year.

Our waitress was Jasmine, she was warm, friendly and made us feel very welcomed, always asking us if there was anything we needed. The meal was as awesome as our waitress. The turkey was tender and the gravy savory, but my favorite was the rice pilaf which I topped with their green bean casserole ( another favorite). Their apple crumb pie had a amazing crispy topping that tasted like it had been glazed with some kind of caramel coating on it, not sure what it was, but it was addicting. The occasion was made even more memorable by the unforgettable view of this beautiful city of Jefferson that I don't think can be found at any other restaurant besides Sapphires, Thank you for a wonderful time and a happy Thanksgiving.”

“We stopped by Slim Chickens around 11 AM on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it nearly empty with just one other couple was there. There was plenty of free parking in the lot, and the restaurant was easy to spot from the main road.

I didn’t even realize there was another location in St. Louis, so this was a nice surprise! The food was great. We ordered chicken strips, fries, and garlic Texas toast. The portion size was generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

What really made it stand out, though, was how perfect it was for my autistic son. He loved the garlic toast (a rare win for us!) and was totally hooked watching LEGO on the TV, which helped him stay calm and happy the whole time. The employees were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience.

I invited many people to this restaurant and not one time ever regretted it. My husband feels it is the best eating place that he has ever eat at.
