“It's likely you've never been to Mayview or this restaurant/ bar. It not the easiest to get to. However, the food, service and welcoming atmosphere makes this out of the way place well worth a small detour. The tenderloin is outstanding. I added horseradish to the sandwich, tater tots, and a beer which brought it to a 5 star meal that makes me look forward to my next one. The only thing that was better than the food and outstanding service was the price. All in and I was out for $14.75 (including my imported Negro Mondelo beer). The mayor and his wife are the owner / operator. Make sure you ask for him. Weekends have live music and this time of year, the screened in porch is the spot for your meal.“

“We stopped in Saturday afternoon with a party of about 18 people. No reservation. We had a great server that was very patient and helpful. She brought pitchers of our drinks to make sure we never ran out. We all ordered and the kitchen got our food out quickly and hot. The burnt ends and homemade chips are really good. I’ve eaten here many times and will keep coming back when we are close by.“
