“Had the pleasure of meeting Tony and Rosa today! Not only were they super friendly, but they are from the same area in Chicago that I’m from! Imagine that! What a small world. We both agreed that the number one thing we miss from home is the food and it was so nice to meet them and get a little taste of Chicago out here in beautiful Nixa. They sell tamales by the dozen, I can’t wait until tomorrow for lunch! Five star service, food, cleanliness, and owners! Stop by and say hello to Tony and Rosa anytime they would be glad to see your smiling face!“

“We experienced a very enjoyable and affordable lunch on a Tuesday. Our waitstaff Cercy and Amber were friendly and the right level of attentive. The restraunt has recently introduced a ten dollar lunch menu, which had several nice choices and made it a very affordable lunch. My chicken nachos could have fed me two meals but I ate them all, delicious and a beautiful presentation. There is a lovely view, a outdoor bandstand and dining area. Bands on the weekends Daily specials Sundays thru Thursdays. Fun, interesting decor. A large separate bar area perfect for a party. Looking forward to lunching here again.“

I got the loaded fries and they were not very good which getting them to go happens but the "pulled pork" was just huge chunks of extremely tough meat I could barely chew.“

“I have recently been diagnosed with Alpha gal syndrome. I spoke to three different employees as I went through the line and they all knew what I was talking about and they helped me pick out food it wouldn't make me sick. Even though they were young they had a lot of knowledge so somebody is definitely paying attention. I had a delicious spicy grilled chicken sandwich with their chips which are not fried and the same oil they fry any beef in at all. Everything was delicious and healthy and fresh thank you Grotto I will be coming back for more“

I went out there after no one showed up there after a couple hours (brunette bartender had no answers, thought I was being rude asking about it being open, so had an attitude, said “well, you can go out there but you won’t have service.” Great attitude, right? Ginger bartender and server Faith made up for it. Those two were great.“

“First visit to Jimmy’s Steakhouse over the weekend and it was great! The salad bar is a one-trip style and, if you have ever been to Mazzios pizza, it was almost identical in flavor and options to their salad bar- even the dressing tasted the same. We ordered the blue cheese bacon burgers and they were cooked to perfection- so large I had to take mine to go for lunch the next day. It came with a loaded baked potato that was delicious as well…. But I didn’t come here to talk about the food. It was the service that was top notch. Our server was professional, attentive, and fast. It’s been a long time since we have experienced service that had been trained right and I had forgotten how nice that was. KUDOS to this restaurant for not putting a suggested tip amount on the ticket. I strongly dislike seeing when a business intentionally obligates the customer to pay their servers- I told my husband that ticket made me so happy it made me wanna tip higher than I had initially planned. Thank you for a lovely evening out. We will be back. P.S. The Christmas decor was gorgeous and oh so cozy. I wanted to take one of the blankets off the hooks and cuddle up with a cup of coffee.“

“Since the south Glenstone location in Springfield reopened have eaten there twice inside. Service was great. Food was good. Price was the same as before restaurant including bathrooms are clean. Called in a carry out today it was ready when I went to pick it up and still warm upon getting home realized there was a mixup in the order. Called and girl who answered gave me to I assume the manager who was very nice and understanding and offered to absolutely Fix it and even through in aside for my trouble. Only took 10 minutes to get the corrected order and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this location for dine in and carry out !“

We frequently will split and just add another side, saving overall with less leftovers. The prices overall compare to other steakhouses in town, but the generous portions and quality put it above in my opinion. The service has always been great! Overall, we love it and frequent Longhorn regularly!“

“Southbound Bar and Grill, I salute you, and I thank for providing a stage for American Aquarium to exercise their craft this past Saturday night. They rocked the place loud and hard. They played a fantastic set, and the crowd, obviously very faithful followers, ate it up. I have attended shows at various venues in Springfield, but I have never seen anything like the rock and roll show American Aquarium put on at Southbound Bar and Grill. I drove 365 miles from Fremont, NE to see the show, and I would do it again, so please bring them back soon. Your club is easy to find, offers free and easy parking, great food and drinks with prices that are in line with other venues in Springfield, and a staff that provides excellent service at every level. I highly recommend the Southbound Bar and Grill. They are a great live music venue.“

“A little late night fun for us. Went to play darts. We had basically the entire place to ourselves. For a Friday night it was very quiet. Staff said they get busy when there are major sports games happening. Service was great and food was good. We made our own fun ?“

“I don’t recommend this place at all! Worked here back in 2013 on the restaurant side and for no reason (or should I say some bs reason), banned my husband from coming in there. He didn’t come in when I was working nor did he ever cause any trouble when he did come in. The owner at the time and the other employees just didn’t like him. That tells me a lot about little towns. Food back then wasn’t even all that great! Haven’t been back since I quit and will never go back there! I hit no on do you recommend but it says that I recommend this place. Not going to the trouble to redo my post!“

“I was in town with my husband and kids. we chose this restaurant due to the amazing reviews and thought it would be kid friendly. Unfortunately we had a HORRIBLE experience due to the shift lead/manager on duty. First our meals all came out at different times. The two kids meals came out after we had ordered 15+ min, then 15+ min later mine, and then 10+ min after that my husband's and other daughter's was how we finally all got food. I will say the rest of my family was pleased with their food. they said it was hot and tasty. However, my burger came out cold. the bun seemed like it had just been pulled out of the fridge, my burger cold and hard, cheese unmelted, and the cast iron dish it came in was room temp. When the worker came to bring my husband and daughter's food I did complain because it was inedible. This person (she claimed.to be the shift lead/manager on duty) immediately got defense that there was no way it was cold, it has been on the grill for 20 min. I told her it was (and with her attitude) I said I wanted a refund. She informed me that it was company policy they did not give refunds, and she could give me loyalty points. I told her I was from out of town and that would not help. At this point she wasn't just being defensive, she was also being just flat out rude and snotty telling me it wasn't her fault. She offered to make me some Mac n cheese instead, and I informed her that I was diabetic thus ordering the burger. I asked her to at least have it remade. She told me NO that it would be the same. I asked for a manager and she informed me she was the shift lead/manager on duty and the only one I could talk to. I asked for the corporate number and she told me they were not corporate. I then asked for the owner, and she said she couldn't give me the number. I admit at that point I was irate. She was defensive, rude, and just out right nasty to me. I want to know what happened to customer service. I have done good service, customer service, sales, and management most of my life. I have never been spoken to/treated so horribly by a restaurant worker none the less a "manager." I finally had enough and stated that if she would do nothing then I would call my bank and have our $70 charge reversed since I did not get actual edible food (this included a tip btw). She said fine and stomped off. I proceeded to contact my bank. In that time she must have called the owner or a manager above her because I heard her complaining about me to someone on the phone right behind me. She did get me a refund and came over and slammed it on the table next to me staying "here is your refund." She then turned and stomped off without another word to me. Needless to say I will NEVER go to a MacCheesey again ever no matter where I travel. They seem to not care about their customers or how the staff treats them if the owners allow such behavior from their employees and refuse to speak with customers.“
