“We splurged and did the grand tasting menu. Words can not express how GREAT everything was. Josh, our personal waiter was above and beyond a simplely awesome rating. He was well versed and knew everything about every item we tasted. Incredible food. Incredible experience. You will love eating there!!!“

“Great date spot patio - wonderful outdoor atmosphere. Super attentive waitstaff (great attention, recommendations, and personality). Cool cocktails and some really good beers available. The food was outstanding! The menu was basically laid out in order of smallest to biggest plates; the snacks were very much snack-sized, the small plates were still plenty enough to share, and the entrees were generous. Very creative and fun cuisine. The white anchovies that we requested on the side of our (outstandingly fresh and summery) tomato salad were the absolute best anchovies I have ever had - if you like anchovies and they have "white anchovies" on the menu, order! (Our waitress was nice enough to check in the restaurant pantry to find out the brand for me, which was very appreciated.) Though we were stuffed, we had dessert and the chocolate cake we ordered was decadent and a wonderful end to a fun and romantic meal. Totally recommend Little Fox, especially for a spontaneous date night out, whether you want to graze and sip cocktails or get a full dinner.“

“Edit..we have been back since my review. The rude guy at the door is gone. Everyone is friendly and the food is beyond amazing!!Make sure if you want to try this place out, you make reservations. My friend and I decided last minute to try the restaurant out because I had read about it on line. When we arrived, we were informed that there would be a wait. I asked about seating at the bar because most places it is open seating. Let me tell you the host was so condescending that it was uncomfortable. There is no waiting area and he acted alarmed that I was going to approach the bar to get a glass of wine. He then informed us it was a 2 hour wait. After driving around forever trying to find a place to park and having much anticipation of trying Sado we just left. I rarely leave a bad review anywhere but I realize this place is new and hope they work on their customer service. I am sure the food will be amazing“

“My son and I take field trips to different places when he's visiting from L. A! The staff is super friendly and the ambiance is super cute! The food is top tier and the juice taste like nectar from the gods! My son had the tamale dish and it tasted like a yummy vacation! I had the cheese grits and let's say the whole bowl was devoured in 10 minutes, so creamy and delicious. My son and I shared the cheese sandwich which was delicious as well! I'm so coming back! The wait time wasn't too long and street parking is available.“

“Ate at this restaurant for a celebratory meal. Absolutely amazing. Although this was several months ago. I still feel like this was one of my top 3 dinner experiences ever! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and friendly service. We went all out! The chicken was to die for! We had a special cheese that was flown in from over seas and fresh peach slices. Our server was OVER THE TOP FANTASTICAL!Oh yeah. The portions...2 people .ate off this meal for 3 days.“

“Terror Tacos has been in my radar for a while and we finally went last night! I didn't know it was as small as it is. There were four of us and when we got there we ended up having to sit at the high top communal table because that's all that was available. I don't like high top tables, but it was better than nothing. You can order at the counter or via QR at your table. My husband ordered our food and said the process was annoying, as did our friends. It's dark in there! People were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. And the music was loud so everyone was talking over it and it was a lot. After we ordered our food, a four top table opened up and we moved there. The cocktails came out after a little while. The food took much longer - maybe about an hour. There were people coming in for carry out orders. So even when it didn't seem there were many people in there after a while, they still had to go orders sprinkled in there. The food menu had peppers next to the menu items. The bigger the piece of pepper, the spicier. Another diner explained that to us. The tacos are a decent size. Two were plenty for me. If I were really hungry, I would maybe be able to eat two and a half. The tacos and the drinks were really good! I'd definitely go back!“

“We visited St. Louis for a conference and found this Thai restaurant near the convention center. Sure glad we did! The food was fresh, attractive, and well-prepared. We had the dumplings for a starter and then my wife had Pad Thai and I had the Thai Sweet Basil Chili Bomb. Amazing all around. Plus the young lady who served us was as polite and attentive as can be. I've bookmarked this place for the next time we're in St. Louis.“

“Wow! Just wow!!! I'd never had Balkan food before a friend recommended the Balkan Treat Box. I'm so glad they did. I had the Balik Ekmek (#6) which is grilled fish in their Somun (a type of flat bread). The fish of the day was Mahi Mahi which was fantastic, but the Somun made in their oven, pictured below, was equally impressive. I'd been torn between ordering the Balik Ekmek and a special spicy chicken Doner (#3) they had that day. I so enjoyed the Ekmek that I had to order the Doner to try it too. It was really good as well with nice heat from the spice. Be prepared to wait in line, but definitely make a trip to the Balkan Treat Box. The atmosphere is bright and lively though crowded. And the several staff members we interacted with were all amazingly helpful and friendly. Especially Devin, who made our visit just a little more special. I'm from out of town but look forward to returning to the Balkan Treat Box when I'm in St. Louis.“

“Our server Josh (yes, coincidence) nailed it. Attentive but not overbearing. The cocktails were a hit too, and I'd recommend the Apple Bottom Jeans and the Violet Mojito. My wife and I stuck to small plates as we weren't in the mood for large plates. The lobster roll was out of this world, and while it looks small, they manage to pack so much delectable lobster into it. The pork belly was also incredible though it was light on the amount of pork belly in it. The spam fried rice was really good. The chili flakes elevate the entire plate, but if you don't like spicy food, I might suggest you get something else. Finally, the cheddar biscuits...they weren't very good. They were a bit tough, not fluffy, and were portioned in a way that made them awkward to eat (too tall). I would not recommend the biscuits. But overall, great experience, 4.5/5.“

“Tonight our pickup order was about 20 min late. Apparently there was a new cook doing the dumplings. We just want the new cook to know that you may have had a tough night, but your dumplings were excellent. Thanks!“

“BEST Ribs! These are seriously some of the best ribs I have ever had. We had the Rocket Platter there were 4 of us and we left with a few ribs. The Platter included 3 sandwiches and 3 sides. The sandwiches we chose were pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket. All the sandwiches were excellent. The sauces were good, the north Carolina BBQ sauce very authentic. The sides were BBQ beans, coleslaw and potato salad. Sides were all good, the coleslaw is very vinegar based no mayonnaise. Have I mentioned the ribs? Soo good. The owner and folks who work there are extremely friendly which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is smaller so that might be a consideration for a larger group. They have good parking. HIGHLY recommend!“

“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“

“This is the best kept secret in St.Louis. Sushi Burrito is incredible and great portion size. Also won't leave you feeling terrible when you are finished. The new location in Maplewood is so much better and only makes BLK MKT Eats an even better option!Vegetarian options: Get your burrito or Poke Bowl to your own specs!“

“A fun night out. We had three seats. When we got there, people were seated at our table requiring our group to sit separately. While that allowed me to chat with others, perhaps reserved seating would be more accommodating. They cleared plates without asking if people were done. So, people came back from the drink line to their food gone. The bartender acted as they she was irritated by having customers. The actors were friendly.“

“This is our favorite stop on frequent trips to STL to visit our daughter, and it was the first time in 3 years we were disappointed. Service was slow and food came out cold. Didn't realize til after we left that gratuity had been included in our bill, so we double tipped for really poor service. Oysters are always da bomb!!! Etouffe so flavorful and delicious when served up hot (since it took so long to order and get our food I was afraid to send it back to the kitchen to heat up, but it made great leftovers the next day). Will be back in the fall, guys. Hope this last experience was just a fluke.“

“I come here when I miss home cooked filipino meals, and it always hits the spot! All the staff is so nice and attentive, and they were so helpful when I was trying to order pancit for catering. I came with family to celebrate a birthday one time, and the owner came out to personally wish my tita a happy birthday. It was such a small gesture, but I think it's the sign of a good business and a caring owner :) thank you for making the Stl community feel a little bit closer to home.“

“Good Thai food. Have had better but the flavors and drinks were all on point! In my opinion the service was below average I felt very rushed from the moment I sat down with my group. A few of the orders were not quite as ordered and a fair bit of confusion.Dietary restrictions: Both Vegan and Vegetarian along with gluten free options!“

“Me and my husband have been here a few times and we absolutely love it. This weekend was our best experience yet. We came to celebrate our 4th anniversary and our waitress was just incredibly personable and sweet, also very attentive. She was definitely busy (as this restaurant always is) yet still went over the menu thoroughly, answered all our questions, and gave great recommendations on both food and drinks. The lamb chops that she recommended were absolutely incredible, as well as the beef tartare.Thank you so much Amber for engaging with us and making our anniversary even more special. We loved that you asked how we met and stayed to listen for so much more.Of course we will be back, but if you’re thinking of celebrating something special, this is the place for you. You won’t be rushed as the food and drinks do take some time but the quality and craft has always been consistent.“

“The food was overall good but not great or life changing. We are big fans of Vicia and were hoping for the same complexity of flavors but did not find it in all the dishes here - only some of them.We ordered:Gougeres - cheese fondue and popovers. Fondue was good but the popovers were kind of doughy and dense.Beef tartare - fine, not great - the tartare was a bit flavorless and flat despite being served with a jusFrench onion soup - good! No complaints.Mussels - the star of the show, 5/5, some of the best mussels I’ve hadPain perdu - a carmelized dessert with toasted brioche and Clementine’s ice cream that was delicious.Special shout out to the mocktail Papillon. I don’t like when mocktails are just fruit juice but this one really had the complexity and slight bitterness of a cocktail.Overall we would come back but there are flavor profiles of some dishes that could be elevated to make this a 5/5 meal.“

“I recently moved from Houston to STL for my job, and let me tell you, I've been on the hunt for a good Sichuan restaurant in the city. Well, I finally found it! This place checks all the boxes for me. The vibe is homely, and the staff is quick to serve. Now, let's talk about the food. For appetizers, we ordered fried chicken wings - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Then came the crispy fish, which was cooked to perfection. The Chengu fried chicken was the highlight of the meal, and the Sichuan tofu was a delicious vegetarian option. The entree options are enormous, and I guarantee they'll fill your hungry stomach and make you content afterward. This place is my new go-to spot, and I'll be coming here more often. Trust me, if you're a fan of Sichuan cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Get your taste buds ready and head over to this fantastic Sichuan restaurant!“

“I would put myself in debt to eat this food, It's so incredible the head chef is brilliant, and the staff from the front of the house to the back make the entire experience a joy. the wild boar and polenta is writing home about worthy, and the tirimisu makes me emotional... the pizza is literally the only pizza in st louis worth eating and I'm from Chicago so I feel like my opinion is extra valid lol. there are a ton of "fancy restaurants" in St. Louis but table cloths and wine selection don't mean crap when the menu of a reasonably priced pizza joint makes your food look like McDonald's by comparison.“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“I am from out of town and googled best fried pickles in St. Louis and this place came up. What a disappointment. They were undercooked and dripping in grease. I had the gumbo next and it was great. Perfect amount of spice and great flavor. I then ended it up with a Mt Everest root beer float and it was off the chain. Unbelievable delicious.“
