“Decided to try Christine's today. I'm so glad we did. Chiefs were playing and had just gotten a touchdown as we walked in the door. The house interrupted into cheers and claps. I couldn't resist to bow & wave while thanking everyone for the grand welcome. They all laughed and greeted us with welcoming comments. So much fun. The atmosphere is amazing! I'm sure the game had a role in that, but I loved it. Kevin, our server was excellent. So friendly, attentive, helpful... just wonderful. It was our 36th anniversary and just wanted to find a place with good Bloody Mary's & food. We weren't disappointed. Hubby had a GIGANTIC tenderloin & said it was great. I loved the fried cauliflower and the great BBQ pulled pork sammich. It's a small homey place but those are the best kind of places in my opinion. Also we love that it is fire service related. My husband is a 26 yr firefighter, Captain.“

I like my wings crispy, and most places don’t make them crispy enough for me even when I ask (no shade, it is what it is). But they always deliver for me at Helen’s! “Wings are the best I’ve had outside of Buffalo, but sadly the blue cheese was tasteless. Our waitress was nice but brought us the wrong appetizer and often left our drinks unfilled. If you are a Bills fan, DO NOT come here for a Bills/Chiefs game. It was torture. WAY more Chiefs fans than Bills fans and some of them were downright mean, profane, and vulgar, mocking the Bills fans and loudly chanting, “F*ck Josh Allen!” I brought my 15-year old son and I cannot say that it was family friendly. SO MUCH profanity, plus a TV right in front of our table was playing some awful blood and gore show the whole time we were there. It needed to be tuned to the game or turned off. The TVs kept losing their signal, plus they were often not in sync with each other and were always well behind the live game, so patrons were watching on their phones and loudly announcing what we were about to see happen on the screens. Plus the sound was terrible. Apparently the jukebox was messed up, so a guy was going around turning individual TV volumes up, but it was impossible to hear anything. When my son went to use the bathroom, there was no door on it, just a curtain, which he found uncomfortable. So in summary, really good wings, but don’t expect a Bills-friendly atmosphere. It was a soul-crushing experience and my son was begging to leave, but we couldn’t get out fast enough because we never got a check or the box I asked for. I found a box myself and the waitress finally took my credit card after I waved it around for a few moments.“

“1st time back since before 2018. I knew that wasnt the same burger, used to be a well made well seasoned meat. this was a soggy, horribly seasoned frozen patty. If thisbis the "best burger" in KC than the city should be disappointed. Employees were great. Bathrooms, well I should a stepped in there before I ate. I can't imagine the atrocities present in the kitchen that bathroom was a crime scene, maybe they pay off the food inspectors? Should also stop advertising as using McGonigles meat. since they don't exist anymore. will not be returning .“

“When I visit family in Sugar Creek, I enjoy grabbing a bite at the Kross lounge. There are not many places anymore that have a relaxed atmosphere and employees that remember me and treat me like a friend. If those old walls could talk, I bet they would tell stories good enough to be made into a movie.“

“Lucky Boys is a classic bar & lounge in the West Bottoms of Kansas City that offers great bar drinks and excellent bar food items. Some of their food options include pizza, poutine fries, burgers, phillys & more.
Thursday night is pizza night at Lucky Boys. We ordered a vodka sauce pizza with cheese, pepperoni, jalapeños, mushrooms, and arugula…YUM! If you go on a night that poutine is on the menu…do NOT miss out because they serve the best poutine fries I’ve ever had! There is a even a pool table here if you enjoy playing pool.
I highly recommend checking out Lucky Boys while exploring in the KC West Bottoms.“

“The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

“We were staying overnight at The Fairfield Inn, and The Summit Grill was recommended to us for a dinner location. We were pleasantly surprised at the deliciously amazing food, quick service, and also our attentive waiter, Travis. I highly recommend the Traditional Pot Roast, and my husband recommends the Chicken-Fried Chicken. If we are in Gladstone again, we will defintely return.“

“OK I shop the store all the time but today Saturday, June 10 was the worst experience I’ve ever had the guy who checked me out never ever said one word to me not hi how are you how much my total was nothing put my card in did they number he walked away then he came back and look like he was mad because I didn’t tear off my own receipt and then the girl that was bagging. My stuff look like I was bothering her because she had bag my groceries and she never said a word to me told the manager and he goes who Russell or Rusty or whatever his name was didn’t say a word to you and I said no nobody said a word to me so much for a smile in every aisle he goes oh well I’m sorry I’ll talk to them really sad, sad. We left and came back after wandering around because he made such an amazing impression. I am extremely grateful for them having/carrying non alcoholic beers. I am at KUMed, so taste buds are way off but everything seemed so salty. they also had no recall of my soda which I ordered online because it red soda. when my son came back with diet whatever I almost flipped him over. “Good place in brookside, portion size was a little small and the quality wasn't as good as we hoped. The fried chicken was sparse on flavor. The green beans very al dente. The Reuben was good with true pastrami and not prepackage like you get elsewhere but the fries were very bland. Service was a bit slow.“

“Had the cheese fries and they were awesome! Cheese sauce was flavorful (not the same old cheese sauce that others use). The fries stayed crunchy even with the sauce over them. Also had a bacon/cheeseburger that was very flavorful. And of course the giant hot wings. Their homemade blue cheese dipping sauce was very good, not overpowering. Great service even though it got crowded. I Highly recommend!“

The outside patio is beautiful as well as their smoking section. The serving sizes are filling to say the least. The place of this is right in the middle of wonderful Brookside!! Great place to soak up the st Patty's day parade they have every year. Not to mention the food , it's amazing no matter what you get and they serve food until 2 am!!!“
