“Burrito was packed with all the tasty stuff almost to bursting. Bilingual cook was ready to offer assistance as needed. I had a steak burrito and very much liked it. It looks like there will soon be a dining room. I look forward to dining in.“

“I've been to this location several times as I drive with Uber. Every single time I have ordered through the app my food comes out hot fresh and correct. It's extremely refreshing to see everyone in there in such good moods all over the time, they seem to really like their job. Even on a day during the summer when they had no air conditioning in the festival, they were all in good moods and the food was still coming out fresh hot and amazing. I will definitely recommend this as the top Taco Bell and all of Kansas City. I've talked to the manager a few times and she is always so pleasant. Her entire staff is amazing and I think that she knows that and she should know that she's doing a wonderful job.“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“The lady taking orders was standoffish, I only knew a few words of Spanish. That seemed to annoy her. The cook corrected her attitude and knew exactly what I wanted.. she eased up a little bit.. (with that being said) customers spending money at any establishments that don't speak English or Spanish.. should always be made to feel comfortable and welcome to support any business.. simple math.
