“City Coffee House & Creperie is a great place to escape, the vibe is that of a hidden cafe. The food is always great, I love their lemon curd crepe, opted for the waffle this time to celebrate National Pancake Day (a waffle is just a pancake with cups to hold the syrup I’ve been told). “Great atmosphere! I love all the colors and the inspiring vibe. There are lots of seating options to choose from—whether you prefer a soft, cozy seat or a taller, bar-height spot. There’s even a workspace that’s super soothing.

I had my usual vanilla latte, and it was delicious—no complaints! It came in a glass instead of a mug, but that’s not a big deal. The music was awesome too. I didn’t even bother putting on my own playlist because it felt like they were already playing my favorite songs.

“My friend told me about Shaw's Coffee half a year ago. As a regional coffee connoisseur, I added it to my STL coffee list and popped in one random day.

The building itself is stunning, the high ceilings and gorgeous tin ceiling make it feel cozy even on the rainiest of days. There are a handful of tables inside and outside of Shaw's and can be hard to score on the weekend. I suggest asking a lone person at a 4 top if they wouldn't mind sharing as the customers are overall friendly.

My favorite days at Shaw's are when Shane roasts the coffee beans 🫘 right in front of you. The whole store smells like coffee heaven and makes me want to purr like a contented cat. I wish they would do talks about roasting, the process and machine etc. But maybe that is just me being a nerd.

The bariastas are so patient, friendly and kind! When the seasonal drinks change they are always helpful to recommend what they like (which I enjoy !). Order a coffee flight! Try all the delicious seasonal varieties and then try them again a few weeks later when the newest flavors change over.

Creme Brulee with Latte iced or always a favorite. The roses still blooming as I text on the patio on a nite fall evening. This woman rates it a 5 star experience and come experience yourself“

The coffee was delicious and they even make their own chai which is the best we’ve had at any coffee shop. We make our own and are quite picky and would absolutely order again! We got the recommendation to come here to watch the Europa league final (which Manchester United sadly lost to Spurs) and we were pleasantly surprised to find the vibe to be exactly what we were looking for. The owners were really friendly and we chatted a lot on soccer, Man United etc. Their TVs have access to watch soccer all around Europe which is great. We ordered drinks and food too which was excellent, plus it was extremely reasonably priced. Definitely would go there again especially when there is a big game.“

We got chipotle chicken sandwich and turkey pesto club. The chicken was bland and kind of chewy in places. The turkey club was below average. It wasn’t toasted and didn’t even have a slice of tomato. Pesto was minimal with pretty boring nonexistent flavors. Might go back to try some breakfast and more coffee.“

“Took my husband to Hive this morning for Father’s Day breakfast. The wait staff is great! I had the absolutely delicious lamb chops, eggs, and breakfast potatoes while he had pancakes. He enjoyed one of my lamb chops to complete his meal. I highly recommend Hive if you want to have a great breakfast!“

“First time and not the last time we dine here, God willing! 🙏🏼♥️🏁 Very busy place, but fantastic service, food, and experience! Josh answered the phone and was so helpful, friendly and welcoming! When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “My husband got the breakfast burrito and I got the avocado toast and I asked for three scrambled eggs on the side.
The burrito was good sized (looks small in the picture for some reason) and it was delicious! Definately recommend!

Avocado toast wasn't actually toasted. It tasted like it was made in house which was good but was a little tough. I think it would have been much better if it would have been toasted!

We also got a cinnamon role and an orange almond muffin. Neither were bad, good but also not anything I would get again.
